I had a Captains platter and it was very good. The setting was calming and romantic with the Harbour lights reflected in the water. One can see the schools of fish in the shallow water on the edge of the Harbour and there is a calming effect that it brings. This is the ideal place for dinner, if you are into fish, after a days work. Great experience.

We ate at Spur on Wilsons Wharf. They must boil all their meat... ribs and chicken were tough and tasted sour of vinegar. Soggy chips and onion rings cooked in stale oil. That 400g special is great if youre buying a rack of bones, no meat on that special. Horrid experience.

John Dorys was great, the wharf however isnt exactly what it used to be. Not dirty or anything, just dead and a few empty stores.

A pleasant evening venue with great views and a comprehensive menu. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Outdoor and indoor seating right on the balcony at high tide. Wilsons Wharf is a must see for visitors and John Dorys offers a sea food experience to match the atmosphere. Early evenings are the best times to take in the lights.

We had a lovely sushi meal at JD’s with some of the best sushi we had in a long time. Fresh, clean cuts of salmon and tuna. The service was a bit slow, but the attitude of our waiter was positive and of course the drinks helped too. A highlight was being able to feed the fish swimming below us, with old bread, which the waiters readily supplied. Overall, a great evening. Grab a jacket though, as sitting outside can be a bit cold.

I was at Wilsons Warf on a Tuesday evening offf peak season mid January 2019 , the place was real chilled , service was great , wheather was overcast with a small drizzle , soon after arrival candle lamps were brought out , offered abit of warmth generally a great place to go with family or friends. Beautiful views.

Felt good to be out... Good service during trying times. Was good to see all Covid19 protocols being adhered to. However with more people venturing out, and having one if their competitors being closed, it did at times seem to be falling short of the maximum no.of patrons with regards to social distancing.

Food is amazing, service can be slow at times but that depends on what time you go there. If you go with the lunch time rush you are going to experience slow service as they cant get to everyone at the same time.

I had breakfast here. It wasn’t busy but our food took quite some time to be prepared. I ordered a side of Peri Peri livers and it had a strange taste, not hot at all and no Peri Peri flavor. The manager was very apologetic though and the rest of the service staff were friendly and helpful.

Struggled to scan the voucher because one of the staffers told me the person who do the scanning is not always available and I should have printed the voucher.I cant understand that theres a clause penned down by John Dorys that I should ask the staffers to scan the voucher for me, then there is no need for me to print it if the scan clause is there.I ended up mailing the voucher to their email address so they can print it. John Dorys should have a clear instruction in future on how to redeem such vouchers as it inconveniences us as clients.

The lady whos serving here today is very rude. She cuts you when youre speaking and then asks you the same info you were trying to say. How can you be a host/waiter when youre so rude. Doesnt greet or listen either. We order online to avoid unnecessary dialog but when a person cant even ask for your order number is amazing, but wants to know what food did I order. It would have saved few minutes of back and forth if she just asked for my order number. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😏😏😏

My family and I had lunch at John Dorys Wilsons Wharf, we really enjoyed the meals, the service was quick, the waitron, Lindiwe was very polite and well informed and the manager, Joseph popped over during the meal to ensure that all was well. The meals were not too expensive and the toilets were very clean and tidy.A big up to John Dorys.

This place has the worst service I have seen since lockdown. We order drinks and it came 20 mintues later with another waiter. Then we waited some more and got our food but it came before the starters. I order try hake and prawns the hake was blend and the prawns were overcooked but had flavour the only thing good about the place was location.
