A place of rest that I can truly recommend! It was no trouble at all for them when we thought we would arrive at midnight. Luckily it turned out not to be the case but nevertheless, Mr Behrens waited for us at the gate and welcomed us. Room, bed, bathroom was all perfect and we could wake up the next morning, refreshed for the road ahead

Nice and neat, friendly staff and comfy bed. All worth it. One minor issue was that the cold water Tap in the shower wasnt working. Other then that me and my jack Russel enjoyed the night!

Inexpensive stopover from Johannesburg to Cape Town Our bed was comfortable.

Staff was very friendly and helpfull upon arrival. Room was clean and spacious. I stayed in Room 10. Family roomSuggest add:1) microwave to each room,2) scissor to open coffee/milk powder/sugar sachets, etc. (Had to use teeth - with Covid-19 not advisable...),3) some wet wipes or cloth to clean spillages in pantry area.In room 10 specifically; the shower head is tacky & needs repair/replacement;and the aircon/heater wall assembly in noisy when switched on and running. Became disturbing when trying to sleep. Otherwise, seems to be a very nice sleep-over after a long N1 journey

Exactly what one needs after a long road! Great shower, beautiful green garden with flowers and shady trees with seating all over. Grand yesteryear house with Oregon flooring, spacious rooms, owner greets you himself. Swimming pool and arts n crafts shop. Serene setting and bonus.. Pet friendly! I could have spent a fortnight here if I had the extra time!

The accommodation is clean, neat, and up-to-date. The beds are fantastic. And its the first double shower that Ive encountered. The site facilities are the kind of quirky where you are expecting Tannie Maria to frequent. The arts and crafts are worth a tour.

The accommodation was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The staff recommended a restaurant for dinner that was well suited to us. The bathroom was beautiful with a bath and a shower and the room itself was big and spacious with more beds than needed. The actual room was clean and neat and had everything we expected and more.

I was so impressed with the stay at The Herb Garden. My room consisted of a neat bathroom, very comfortable brass bed, with electric blanket, (so appreciated on this exceptionally cold night.) a microwave, airconditioner, and TV. The room was clean, and so cozy. My car was kept in lock up facilities, and Maynard (the owner) made sure I had everything I needed to make my evening comfortable. Thank you so much. I will be coming back again in my travels through Colesburg

It was awesome and if I ever need to go through colesberg this is the place to stay.

Stayed for two nights, The owner was very welcoming. I arrived at 6:00 am and the room was already ready with air condition to warm up the room as well as the electric blanket. Very quiet and convenient. every thing was perfect no complains. sure coming back again.

The Herb Garden Guesthouse in Colesberg was our stopover on our second night, roadtripping to Cape Town. The rooms are spacious, clean and neat. They are however a bit out dated and as such I found the price a bit on the high side.Otherwise the grounds are neat and tidy and the gardens well maintained.The pool next to the reception area is a welcome sight in the high summer temperatures.

Best pet friendly stop over ever. Wonderful warm atmosphere. Great big room with separate bathroom and kitchen. Everything one needs to kick back and relax after a long drive. And price is very reasonable.The gardens are beautiful and secure for your pets to roam around an sniff without worrying.The staff are the best, as well as the owner - Salt of the earth people. Nothing is too much for them. I would go up there just for a weekend if it wasnt so far. One of the best places to stay in Colesberg, with a friendly welcome. The bedding was of 5 star hotel quality, crisp and fresh, air conditioned room with free WiFi was a bonus! Parking was secure, great halfway stop between joburg and Cape Town, i will definitely make the Herb Garden my place to stay again!

Great room with double bed and additional single bed, aircon that works, great shower and kitchenette. Lovely birdsong and trees/garden with table and chairs and braai area. Breakfast available on demand at the venue. We will stay here from now on when overnighting in Colesberg.
