Pros: Tidy rooms with air conditioning and heaters. Nice towels. Furnished beautifully. Very clean. Showers and baths available. Safe. Spacious. Good service.Cons: The restaurant was a bit slow to deliver. No complementary soap or shampoo. Bathtub had a leak, so couldnt fill up. A bit noisy at night in one of the rooms.

Lower your expectations. The impression I had of De Vuur after visiting the website was vastly different from reality. Jacqueline who welcomed us on arrival, was friendly and helpful but the first impression on viewing the place was disappointing. It looks like a discarded dream. At one time an attempt was made to keep up the garden, pot plants and exterior of the building. The room was initially also a shock. The dark brown paint, lack of table lamps and unkempt curtains don’t create a great first impression. In the end the bed was ok, bathroom, bedding and towels were clean so as a budget overnight stay it’s ok.

Absolutely shocking, would have been better to sleep in my car! The beds are so bad it should have been discarded years ago

Good for a quick sleepover but not very well setup.Room that we had has a door straight to another room, its locked but very flimsy. Extractor van in the bathroom not effecient at all and water pressure not good.Wifi has aboit 0.8mbps speeds and disconnects the whole time.Staff not friendly and welcoming at all.One thing that it good is you can parl your car inside and there is a lockable gate. Not too impressed.

Well, were do I start? Booked through AirBnB.For the price (R500) we pay we should sieke not complain.Bed was not the greatest, we come to such an establishment to get at least a great nights rest. So the least I would expect for any amount of cash is a decent bed to lay my head down.Thanks for the insect killer spray, the thought is appreciated, but at least check that the can actually works. That when you spray it does spray.During this crazy time of this Covid19 Pandemic I at least expect soap 🧼 in the WC/ Bathroom 🛁.And guys its C19 time so hand and surface sanitizers would be a plus point.So ja with my future travels to Johannesburg your place would be a no go.And yes 100s and 1000s others will visit it again and again, but from me, sorry I will keep on moving pass.

Very cosy self catering and beautifully decorated, when youre here please try the ribs and their chips are a brilliant balance of crispy outside and soft inside. Hot water readily available and pet friendly!

Not disgusting, but not quite up to the standard expected. Comfortable enough for a basic overnight stay. Small things that need attention - like the fact that you cant switch the overhead light off without switching the ceiling fan off, unless you are above average height; Never managed to get hot water going for the shower; only bin in the room is the small bathroom bin; security gate is a battle to open and close; had to sleep with the door open, as the room is fairly airless.

A place of Leisure, comfort and the sound of tranquil nature. Will definitely visit them again. Friendly staff, beautiful environment and neat and tidy rooms. Would recommend it to everyone who is looking for accommodation. Keep it up. Definitely the place to be

Judging by the reviews on booking, we might have just got unlucky (it was a Sunday). Everything was fine with the exception of the room not having been cleaned after the previous occupant. Dirty towels and rubbish in the bathroom was how it started but it was only when I got into bed when I realised that it felt like the sheets had not been changed either. The bed had been made, so I could give them the benefit of the doubt, but based on the fact the rest of the room service was not done and the sheets had that greasy feeling I have to assume they were not changed. A fan in the room would be a valuable addition particularly in summer. Nice folks who run the place, but with quick stops like this detail can easily slip...

WORST experience ever!! Even though in a budget room one is to expect a working shower. In this case you either get cooked or frozen immediately. Would not recommend the budget rooms.

If you need a place to sleep on your road trip this place is perfectly ok. Pretty nice bathroom, basic DSTV, friendly, helpful, homey hosts, adequate facilities, pool. Dinner is an option, and a few restaurants are also at walking distance.Cons: needs better aircon, and perhaps a bin in the room.
