Just joined standard bank and went to Lynnwood to pick up a new card, you have to see a consultant to collect a card, a service so outdated its not even considered in other banks. Lynnwood specifically the wait times are well over 2 hours for any form of business before tellers. If you see all the reviews you will notice this isnt a new issues, pre covid days and still no change or adjustments as to how the system works..

The service is very slow. Lots of people wanting for assistance, and very little assistance. Rather go to another branch or bank if you have no time waisting sitting in a bank.

Terrible experience.Waited 2 hours to be helped. Staff not friendly. The only person who seemed to be energetic and passionate about their work is the receptionist.

I have been in here for almost 4hour now. Only 2 consultants available with a total of 9 consultant station and 7 empty on a month end. I am a nedbank customer and was hoping to move to standard bank. But this is something I never experienced before. No one cares how long you sit and wait. We also have old ladies sitting and waiting for assistance. If I was kept waiting because the branch needed to move the elderly to the front and assist, I would never mind but nothing is happening. This is really bad. Even during this COVID-19 other banks are doing way better. The faster you assist people and get them helped quickly the better changes of avoiding people waiting in long Qs and sitting everywhere which is a high risk of infections.Wow yet I thought Nedbank was bad on service.

The branch is not able to handle the volume of clientele in this Covid-19 period. I get an SMS to collect my credit card but either the queue is 20 to 30 people long or the branch is closed. When I got there this morning the branch is closed!!! Why can my credit card not be delivered to me at my home. Yes I am in the vunarable age group.

On friday 7 Feb I visited the Grove branch - due to loadshedding the branch was closedfrom 09h00 till 11h03 - when it opened the que was quite long with only three of the five cubicles occupied by staff - when reaching the front I was amazed to see one of the staff closed her cubicle and opened her lunchbox to entertain her lunch hour - and that after doing nothing for two hours! - only in South Africa!!

In todays times it is so refreshing to meet people who still have a passion for their job. Even with a power outage I received some of the best service from the foreign exchange. I cant recall her name but think it is Annelize.5 star service. Good service from a even greater person.

Since Standard bank has come up with the Genius idea of not having deposit slips, waiting time in the queue has tripled. Unfortunately Standard has gone from super fast and efficient to worse than ABSA.
