Zero would have been a much more appropriate score .... seems Standbank does not care about the complaints either . There is Zero service in this bank . Be better to close the branch ....or wait empty office space down and not have customers waste time trying to do bussiness here .... the worst service or lack of service ever experienced at any institution . PATHETIC is to much credit !

Unexceptable service . Waiting in line for an hour at foreign exchange. Only 2 staff members. Manager had an attitude when asked to assist.

Where do I begin with this review..A simple process of getting a new card turns into a mess and takes 5 visits to just get a new card.I start by looking at the official standard bank website what is required to get a new card and get all the paperwork ready.Visit 1: Stand in the que and 2 of the 6 desks are open so naturally the que moves slowly. Get to the front and the person checks everything and says I need a witness to sign my proof of residence despite having my, my wife, the landlord and the rental agency’s signature on it. And their websites mentions nothing about witness signatures. Anyway I go get it done.Visit 2:This time there are 3 of the 6 people there to help customers. Que moves slightly faster, things are looking better. Get to the front and get told no standard banks network is offline country wide. FOUR FIVE SNAKES..Visit 3:When I walk in I ask is their network online, I get told it is. Stand in the que and get to the front. Lady checks all paperwork is correct and then phones the department where you order a new card on the phone and gives the phone to me to talk to them. Order a new card and person tells me 7 working days and I can come collect.Visit 4:9 working days later. I stand in the que and get to the front. I tell the person I am here to collect my card. Person checks on the system. Long story short, card was never ordered.. Four Five Snakes!!I again have to do the whole process again on the phone in the branch to order new card.Visit 5:Stands in short but slow moving que because 2 out of the 6 people are at their desks. Get to the front and find out card is ready. Yes finally! But takes 35 minutes for me to get my card (this is not counting the 15 minutes waiting in line) this is because their finger print scanner is not working and their internet is apparently very slow...Card gets issued but they ordered me a student card while I am on the normal account. While this is minor it is absolutely shocking, how do you get this wrong?Staff friendliness and helpfulness 2 out of 5.Whole experience 0 out of 5. Absolutely shocking.Looking at moving banks.Standard bank - moving backwards together.
