I had my wedding reception at Dash, my husband and I return every year for our anniversary. We unfortunately couldnt make it this year due to Covid. Their food is wonderful, the staff always incredibly friendly and kind.

Stunning warm decor and entry with a piano singer in the hotel lobby. It’s tucked away but worth finding. The chef’s tasting menu was on par with great Michelin finds in other international cities. Incredible value when you consider the exchange rate. I thought the wine pairings were a phenomenally paired representation of South African Old-New-world Wines in different styles and Varietals. No bad bites, culinary design elements and styles that were artistic, entirely edible, unique, and memorable. The panna cotta at the conclusion of the meal left me pondering how lucky I am. Great for big groups with a remarkable cocktail selection too! Enjoy!

Ive never heard of this restaurant before till I decided to search around the V&A yesterday in my lunch break. So I came across Dash. Its a bit hidden away. I quickly pulled out my phone and looked at some Google reviews. Well... Others seem to like it. I thought to myself. So I made a reservation for evening.When my wife and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest staff imaginable. From the get go we knew it would be a memorable evening.My wife had a Dash-In-A-Box drink which she thoroughly enjoyed. Since I had to drive I just stuck to the boring stuff.Even though the food menu was highly priced we decided to each do a 6 course taster valued at R650 pp. At first I was skeptical as the portions, we were told, were very small... Will it be enough? With this 6 course tasting you get 3 starters (set options), 2 mains (choice between duck & line fish and then a choice between beef and venison) and lastly a desert.From the get go the starters were amazing. Every bite is full of explosive taste. Were were waiting for our second round of starter to arrive when a man, the floor manager I presumed, came to us to chat a bit. He said if we liked the food thus far we should wait for the mushroom starter. At this point I was thinking, ... Really? Mushrooms. What is so special about that? Well... The very first bite blew my mind. Have you ever had food that was so good that you wish the whole world around you could just quiet down and disappear so that you can indulge in this epic moment? That was exactly what happened with the mushroom starter. I would highly recommend this dish. Upon my next visit Ill order just this starter but double up on its portions.The rest of the food that followed was also incredibly delicious through to the desert.After we had our dinner I sat there thinking that I had way too much to eat but it was so worth it. So my initial skepticism of whether the food would be enough was definitely quenched.Dash has wine and food pairings too that we regrettably did not yet participate in.There is also a older man who plays the piano in the foyer and sings which adds some lovely ambience.If youre looking for a lovely night out on a date with food more tastier than anything youve had before then this is the place.

This is a hidden gem, I had the tasting menu along with wine pairing and the food was truly exceptional, the staff were well informed with the local wines and quick to share their knowledge, the chef is a genius at combining flavors and textures on a plate. Highly recommended!!

Service was great, food was excellent, the decor is amazing and surprisingly affordable considering. Would definitely recommend it.

What a treat!Not only you feel welcome and well served, all dishes are presented in a sophisticated though fine way.Dishes are of greatest freshness, wines are sublime!Service is just great - if you like wines, just ask, all explanations are given with passion.Not easy to find, it is located inside the posh Victoria hotel.Definitely a great diner.Count 1700 ZAR for 3 course and wine for 2 people. You will not be disappointed.

Last night I reserved a table for my parents for their 30th Anniversary and they had nothing but great words to say. From how amazing the food was to the impeccable service they received.They were treated wonderfully and felt really special on their mile stone. I am so happy for they had a great time. Excellent food for fine dining. Try the mushroom port soup. It is spectacular. The close proximity to the waterfront makes it a lovely space to stay and easy to escape back into tranquility. Staff is another level of friendly and they make an incredible effort to make any dining experience special. I enjoyed myself even though I do not usually fancy fine dining.

We stumbled upon this jem of a restaurant by chance. We took a risk and were pleasantly overwhelmed by the amazing service and absolutely delicious food. We chose the 7 course dinner experience. The food was full of flavor and the presentation was extraordinary. Our waiter, Zameka was super helpful and added to the most pleasant dining experiences. We will definitely be back to this establishment for more.

Had the most wonderful experience here. We were treated like royalty. The service was excellent and professional. The food was amazing. I could taste all the flavours and the aroma of it. Pleasure meeting the chef who served us a variety of cheeses at the end. I definitely left with a smile and a full stomach.

Everything was perfect, I am so impressed. The staff were great the food was so unique and delicious.

This is not 5 star dining. The service was friendly but clueless. Had little knowledge of the wine list and generally the drinks menu was average at best. No local option for gin or even craft beer options. The food was ridiculously marked up for no apparent reason. More effort in plating mismatch flavours on the plate, than sourcing exciting local produce. R135 for a starter Caesar Salad without anchovies. You can almost pick any other restaurant in Cape Town and will find better value and quality. 2 stars for the interior.

First of all, excellent service by the entire staff. We appreciated the live piano player in the background. The menu was not really asian fusion as suggested on google, anyway we really enjoyed the food and struggled more or less with finishing the rather big sizes of the dishes. The complimentary extras were also really great. Honestly, Dash is not known to be a hotspot but after trying almost all high class restaurants in cape town we were exceptionally happy that we randomly gave the dash a try!

We went here on a bit of a whim and managed to secure a table for dinner. First of all, this place has the best service in all of Cape Town. Our waitress, Zameka, was funny, extremely professional and offered great suggestions on what to order from the menu. She was a delight. Secondly, the food. THE FOOD. It was so good. Best meal we had on our entire trip.

Stunning restaurant the waitress welcomed me as i was being walking to have a seat, as though I had not had enough the barman offered something to drink and initiated such a calming conversation to make me feel at home. The place really blew my mind away just to mention the few things about the place worth a million reason to visit the place.

A hidden gem on the waterfront with proper silver service. Food is heavenly-every single morsel-I wanted to wipe the plate clean. Our order included chicken, salmon and Kudu fillet as well as chocolate fondant. A quiet secluded dining spot with excellent unpretentious service

I reserved a table at Dash for my wifes 30th birthday, and holy shitballs were we blown away when we got there! From the porter at the hotel door to the waiter to the manager that comes to personally welcome you, we were treated like royalty - like Prince Charles seed itself. The food was a bit different, but insanely delectable - the best fillet I have ever had with a side of the most succulent veggies and mashed potato shaped like, ironically, a potato. Seriously, i am confident Gordon Ramsey and Paul Simon would both silently just enjoy their meals here! Lastly, our waitress Zameka was super awesome and funny, and kept bringing little complimentary birthday treats to help make my wifes night extra special - if we ever conceive a daughter we will even consider giving our white child this legendary Xhosa name!

This place has good food and wine. It is good to take friends with you and have a lovely time.

The first evening in Cape was supposed to be something memorable. Dash turned out to be exactly what was required. The fire of the fireplace, the piano, the pleasant audience and the polite service are just the frames for true values ​​- an excellent wine list and a fine selection of dishes expertly prepared. A lovely room with great decor and an elegant restaurant. Wine is the perfect plate and every piece of art. Service is exactly the way this should be in this atmosphere.
