Friendly and good service. Great atmosphere. The Chubby burger challenge was very delicious but couldnt finish it under 10 minutes. Will come more prepared next time, highly recommended!

Must do for anybody passing through Cape Town!! There is a giant burger challenge - definitely not for the faint hearted. The vibe is amazing and chilled and it is extremely easy to relax here. The food is cheap and the more expensive but exceptionally delicious milkshakes comes with the milkshake remains in the shaker, so you get 2 milkshakes. Do not attempt to eat a full meal and have a milkshake - it might be too much!! But there is always take aways!

The way I love the food at Frankys you wont understand. Besides from the one time I had a kak experience with the staff.I dont stop going there... and the pictures on their walls are just captivating. 👌Ive got to warn you about their prices though.. they arent open 24 hours for nothing😂😂

What an experience! They have an enormous variety of milkshakes (consider sharing as theyre huge!!!) and their food menu offers something for everyone (unless you want a salad - Id advise you to stay far away if youre watching calories...). There is also a play area for the kids, as well as a kids-eat-free during the week special (certain times). The waiters are super friendly and accommodating. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. Well definitely be back!

The neon lights, furniture and old school music sets the mood to simulate the closest feeling to being in an American Diner. The food is of course good. A definite yes. 3 stars because there is room for improvement

Frankys Diner, Seapoint mainroad has a proper diner feel from the style of the food to the decor and music choice. The service is not as great as expected, but the portion sizes of the food is exceptional. The variety of milkshakes offered is unique and is enough for two servings. I was not completely impressed overall, but it is a good first time try.

All American Cafe style joint. It is well themed and the menu supports the theme. The burger and fries were lacking in taste, but the shakes and craft beer make up for it. We also had fantastic service.

I had high hopes when going to this place, Ive read such good things. Service was good, The prices are great but my flapjacks were a bit undercooked and there were no smarties or flakes(which were on the menu) to add onto my friends waffles. Would maybe recommend trying their other food though, it looked like the better option

So Frankys Diner is officially the biggest disappointment of the year for me. I first heard about the diner about 2 years ago and had been excited for food for years. I had seen the 6 patty burger as well as great pictures on social media and that eventually encouraged me to save enough Rands for the food.The food itself was massively tasteless. The chicken was dry and was slightly off. The cheese sauce tasted like flour drenched in milk and yellow food coloring. The ribs were completely dry and tasteless with a random BBQ sauce poured on top.I really did not enjoy any of the food and judging from the servers reaction, this was not new.The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating is because of the rather tasty milkshakes.

Service is excellent. Food is pretty good. Was hoping for more of an authentic American experience but there were no American beers or curly fries available. But the lovely waitress serving us told us that some items were not on the menu due to stock shortages just after covid 19.Had the rib basket, my date had the beef single burger. Both were surprisingly good. Including two soda pops we paid R300, which was fair.They no longer accept coupons from the entertainer app.

Such a fun place with American inspired menu. Their corn bread and milkshakes are yummy. Sadly they are temporarily closed. Can’t wait for them to reopen.

This place have the best milkshakes and hamburgers! When you order a milkshake it comes in a tall glass plus they bring the leftovers in the metal mixing cup, awesome! The hamburgers have pure beef patties and they come with chips and a couple of complementary tasting onion rings! The chips you can pick between curly fries or French fries and we cant decide which are better.

It was my first time ordering for this place. I will never order from this place, let alone recommend. How can you serve someone food like this. They should have called It 400g of bones with bbq basting cause thats what this is. This is like left over food for the dogs. If this is what they serve for takeaway, i wonder what they serve on a plate. What a pity, people dont understand of under promise and over deliver they must just take down their photos stop fooling people as if they cater 5* dining cause this is just got is rubbish. Im even scared to eat it, it could be left overs from peoples plates, or maybe left over not sold, cause they dont look like they were cooked today.

Ive been here a few times. Food is good. Priced well. Friendly staff. However, I tried to use the entertainer app there and they said its suspended...with no reason, and no notification from the restaurant nor from the entertainer team as well which I found very off putting.

Dont expect anything great from this joint. Service wasnt great. Waiter on the night was not very attentive. Wait staff started fighting with each other around 11pm and were in their own world.Only milkshake they had was Bar One (there are many options on the menu). Milkshake was still good though.My boyfriend first ordered the mac and cheese off the specials menu. It was pretty much soup and the cheese tasted off too. It was only taken off the bill at our request.He then ordered the chicken&rib basket and definitely enjoyed it.I had the chicken wing basket. Cant complain there - fried chicken was good. Chips that came with it were pretty good too. Onion rings were great.Mom got curly fries, they were very greasy.

I had chicken wings with chips and my boyfriend had a burger with chips. Neither of us finished our food... was a bit disappointing. Love the look, feel and vibe of the place though. Looks amazing. There is a play section for the kids as well. Will try them again, perhaps they will pleasantly surprise me.

This place has a good atmosphere and live music, food is very good!!! Great milkshakes!. Meat has always been exactly how I asked for it. There is a kids area as well if you want to bring your little ones. Dont forget their Gargantuan Burger challenge. Frankys Diner is based on the 50s era of diners and they decorate it very well to fit the theme.

My absolute favourite diner. Great staff, and delicious food. The food prices are worth it, as the portions are really big. They have so many delicious milkshake flavours to choose from that are out of this world. Open 24hrs, and sometimes have an Elvis Presley impersonator performing live which I absolutely love. The food was great and I loved the extra large milkshake. Milkshakes are pricey, but you get about 1 1/2 the normal size, so enough to actually share. Although did was good, the authentic USA plastic containers they are served in, have seen better days. The decor is straight out of an American diner, but it was lacking ambiance. They could do with American Diner music.There is also, what seems to be a food cart, stored in the eating area, really doesnt look good and needs to be removed. The lighting needs to be upgraded, some areas in the back are dimly lit and can make it look a bit dull.

The curly fries were very oily but other than that a great place to go and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again to try some of the other menu items.

I love Frankys Diner! As a long time patron, me and my family of 5 have enjoyed many a burger and corn dog. Their standard is very good and their staff always make you feel welcome. Should you need a little timeout from time to time enjoy one of their designer shakes while the kids play on the jungle gym. See you soon!

We used to really enjoy going to Frankys Diner but the quality of the service and meals appears to have deteriorated. The meals, two waffles and a chicken burger, were all served on side plates that were too small to eat from. The waffles were not baked completely. Maybe I am mistaken but I felt that the waffles were larger the last time I had visited Frankys.

I love the fact the diner is open 24/7! The burgers are really quite decent. The Macaroni Cheese is worth going for alone, otherwise good for just drinks too. The only thing I can find at fault in any way is lack of dessert options, but even then they have a staggering amount of dessert milkshakes! Beware you will need an appetite of note.

Had a terrible experience today. Waiter wasnt attentive and got very rude when we asked what was popular on the menu. We asked for curly fries, which were underwhelming. Our milkshakes were sickening sweet. The prices was reasonable but the whole meal was a waste of money and we are very disappointed. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Firstly the Milkshakes are the best in Cape Town (that I have tried) and big enough to share with a friend. The customer service is good and so is the food for a fast food restaurant. They are also open 24/7 which is always convenient.

Frankys Diner is a must if youre in the mood for good American foods like Burgers, hot dogs, cheese fries, ribs or milkshakes. I would recommend the rib and wings basket or the burgers and definitely the milkshakes! There is a massive variety of flavors of milkshakes as well as many options for add ons for the burgers. If you are really hungry try the burger challenge, its a massive burger with fries, etc that you have 20 minutes or so to finish, if you can then the meal is free

I was excited to see this place right down the road when I arrived in Cape Town. And when I was feeling homesick from the US, I came to check it out. The diner decor with the vintage signage, jukebox, bar stools, and celebrity posters total works. Unfortunately I was naive to think the breakfast food would work for me to. For some reason pancakes and waffles are just impossible to make right here in Cape Town. The waffle was too spongy and dense and had a strange caramel flavor that left a bad aftertaste. The service is also a let down. When I was there it was like they didn’t want me to order anything and I was the only one in there... Unfortunately the decor is where this place starts and stops being close to an American diner. Maybe if you’re homesick come in and grab a milkshake, ANYONE can get a milkshake right (I hope).

Awesome vibe, I love the fact that theyre open 24h. Amazing milkshakes and a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic flavours, though its a little pricey, you do get your moneys worth since you get served a big glass of your milkshake of choice as well as the mixer used to make it (which is pretty much half a milkshake on its own). Cheesy fries are great, love the karaoke nights, the only disappointment Ive ever had was their desserts, more specifically their donuts, which was not worth the price. But for a great vibe and amazing milkshakes Frankys is perfect.

We had a very poor service yesterday evening. Our waitress was aloof and was as if she was high. When asked to repeat the order she just walked away and messed with our sides orders.Next, our meal had a complimentary coca cola. Firstly she didnt bother to serve it. When we asked her, she said we dont have coke!!! it will be here only tomorrow...what a joke.Lastly the food from starters to the desserts did not have the punch or the flavour like the reviews claim to be. cannot rely reviews these days. Genuine??

Oh my goodness! Im so glad this place is 24 hours because I have cravings that only Frankys Diner can curb.American style Diner that even serves a Cherry pop :) and had a kiddie area if your toddler wont sleep and you need a 2am break.I order the dagwood every time. The cornbread... Oh my word, straight from my dreams. It really takes it up a notch and I love their different take on slaw while others dont.Id also recommend their milkshakes (although I dont drink milkshakes, Ive seen happy people becoming even happier with them)
