I went in for a 2 hour facial on Tuesday morning and my skin looks amazing 🙏🏻 My therapist was a delightful Afrikaans girl and the facial was just unbelievable! The service and staff, including Cat, was incredibly comfortable and so professional. Incredible ! I’ll be back for sure ✨

Went here for a facial last Saturday. Oh my lawd, it was absolutely amazing!!! Dani, my magician therapist, was magnificent!!! Best facial I have ever had. Highly, very highly, recommend this salon. I had a lovely and relaxing experience yesterday🥰I got my nails done by the famous Lisa that Ive read wonderful reviews about. She was so friendly, kind and gentle (also the other staff were so friendly)The build up of the bio sculpting was so pretty that I literally wanted it just as it is, but ohhh myyy worrrrda, when she added the topping I was speechless!Im in love with my nails and Lume Beauty Atelier is thee best nail bar! I cant wait to be back in Cape Town and get my nails done all over again, its worth the money

I am writing this because I feel so awful about my hair and never received a truly sincere apology from Lume beauty. About 3 months ago I was excited to visit Lume beauty to receive a full set of highlights but was utterly shocked and emotional when I received the worse treatment during my appointment and the result of my colour.I entered the salon with a healthy head of hair and left with it damaged almost beyond repair. The scale of the ineptitude and the resulting damage to my hair has left me personally feeling awful about myself.I asked the stylist for full highlights to get some blonde strands through my hair and said specifically I wanted it to look natural, I also couldn’t have been more clear as I also showed her a picture.The treatment started to go wrong when the stylist started dropping bleach over my clothes and skin. My playsuit is ruined as the bleach has taken the colour out and has left it with marks all over with a different colour. I was even more shocked when she managed to get a section of my hair which had not been touched yet into such a knot that I at this point had to get involved and brush it myself. As I touched the section I could feel how dry and dead it felt, she managed to drop dye all over sections of my hair which hadn’t even been touched!!!Once she coloured the hair I was horrified by the colour, this was not highlights but a full bleach through the whole hair. My natural colour has completely gone and my hair is completely damaged. It feels so dry and when I now brush my hair, clumps of hair fall out. She has killed my hair and this will take years to get my healthy natural hair again from the roots to the ends.I had beautiful long wavy hair, my hair was a big part of my identity and a part that made me feel happy about myself. I have had to cut it short because it was so dead and honestly just looked terrible being long and fully bleached. My dark roots have started coming through now too and the contrast between the dark roots and bleached hair also looks awful. I now will have to go through at least a year maybe two to get my long natural colour hair again.Thankfully Lume gave me a refund but this took persistence and some time before I received the money back. I also never received a true apology for what I had gone through and any understanding of how terrible the situation really was.I would never trust to get your hair done there!!!!!I have attached images which show:The colour of my hair beforeThe condition of my hair now

I have been a loyal Lume client for quite some time and love having my nails done with the lovely Faith. I usually get gel polish done and today decided to get a full set of acrylic. Nails look beautiful until I get to the counter to pay for my treatment. R1180!! Never in my life have I ever heard of a place that charges this much. Absolutely shocking.There are also no prices online for me to justify the costs. Feels like I have been robbed in broad daylight. Will definitely not be returning.

I recently visited Cape Town with my daughter from USA. We decided to visit this beautiful Spa and we were not disappointed. In fact we returned four times within a week. My therapist was Dudu and she was absolutely extraordinary. She locked in straightaway that I needed work on my lower back. She is so good that I don’t know why there isn’t a queue outside waiting for her. My daughter also had a fantastic therapist and if I’m not mistaking her name is Izzy. So if you need a great massage don’t hesitate to contact Dudu (and Izzy) as you will not be disappointed. Thank you to very one who works at Lume Beauty Atelier. Have a great holiday and hopefully I’ll be back soon. 😊
