Telkom N1 staff mostly claim to be OFFLINE whenever I wish to purchase PREPAID LTE DATA for a handheld router (NOT for a mobile Smartphone). Yet their computers can still help other customers. The online option is equally customer unfriendly because I do NOT want the 5 step hassle of 1) removing SIM, 2) putting SIM into a mobile, 3) buying Airtime, 4) converting Airtime to Data, 5 ) put SIM back into router.Their unfriendly Customer Service ticket machine has 4 column headers eg Service and Service Desk with no details providing differentiation clues to avoid selecting the wrong columnCommon-sense is very scarce.

How does a big brand like Telkom survive with absolutely no contact details that actually work if you walk pass a Telkom store its usually empty so why is no one in store answering the phone....? seriously been phoning the whole day! and why you may ask , well . some smart person forgot to include our wifi extender with our order so now they need to deliver and they still havent for two weeks after they said they would .wow Telkom 0 stars for you if that was an option

Whats the use of advertising a number when its not answered? Whats the use of writing reviews if no-one fixes the problem, or even replies to the review? giving an email address to vent to is NOT customer service. How about a call??? Telkom, really bad service on all fronts. I am ever sorry I have signed up as a customer. Because of inadequacies in your methods, my business is suffering. Oh well I have vented, but, whats the use? I had to give at least one star to do this review. I would not even give one..........

No answer, tried calling this store numerous times. Was hard getting the correct information together to hand in an application. Dealt with 3 different consultants all giving me different information. Eventually after I got all documents sorted, I was told the application process takes between 5-7 days, went back after 7 days and was told there is no stock of the required handset. I asked when the handset will be available, and no one could even give me a rough estimation of how long it would take. More than a month later and still no feedback. Tried calling the call centre and even trying the online chat service, no agents available. This is really pathetic.

Been try to get hold of your Telkom Direct Store in N1 City and no one answers the phone. Applied for the 15GB Big Deal Special on the 19 June 2016 and was given the incorrect deal. Terrible service from customer care as well.

Took a Telkom mixed contract. The contract was not loaded correctly. Did not receive the data I was supposed to receive. My credit was set to 0.00 so I cannot buy data cannot SMS or buy SMS bundles. Been trying to rectify for a month. This is my second month on the contract still no data still cant SMS. No one from Telkom is able to rectify. All I hear is sorry I dont have access to mixed accounts. Cant help you. What a nightmare!!!!!

After a hellish experience at the Telkom franchise store near HiFiCorp, I went to this Telkom Direct next to Ackermans instead.A front end manager greeted me at the door and inquired into the purpose of my visit. I was then directed to a sales consultant.The consultant, a trainee at that, was quite knowledgeable about the mobile hotspot I needed. It basically is a portable wireless LTE router from Huawei.The sales consultant, Shane Oosthuizen, concluded the transaction without any delays or interruptions. The entire process was concluded in a few minutes.Shanes professionalism impressed, as did our entire experience in-store.The lesson learned is to go to Telkom Direct, not to a franchised outlet with improperly educated, badly trained staff who displayed no interest in a customers presence. TelkomDirect was the heaven side of my Telkom experience.Shane Oosthuizen has a great career ahead of him if he keeps rendering such an excellent service.

Absolutely horrible,I have been trying to get hold of Telkom sales by calling 10213 but all I get is the number doesnt exist, i have been calling Telkom direct Cape Gate,Tygervalley,Canal Walk and N1 City every 15 Mins for the last 4 hours with no one answering.SHOCKING
