The coffee was good but the venue itself is more a take away type of set-up. And the focus seemed to be that.

Coffee, smoothies and much more.The wide range of offerings combine well with an informal setting in a shopping area that is popular. Parking within Belvedere Square is limited, but surrounding streets offer a solution.

This has become a regular visit over the weekends. Friendly,welcoming staff. A lovely play area for the little ones. And great coffee..always!

Food is completely inconsistent. I’ve tried the banana nut butter muffin 3 times and it was different every single time - completely overcooked the first with no visible nut butter, perfect the second time with actual nut butter in the center and undercooked the third with no visible nut butter.Also I don’t know if it’s a policy that you instill in your baristas to shout at everyone but it adds nothing to the atmosphere of the store and it’s just plain annoying.

A Vida e Caffe like any other - my flat white was served and tasted as great as expected, which is great. As a franchise, they are limited in how they can customise the experience but it lacks a personality of its own. That said, a manager that engages with his customers (as the owner has to my review) is a person who cares about the service of his establishment and that is noteworthy (that scored an extra star to my original rating).

Belvedere square is so usefully central to lower Claremont so its nice to pop into Vida to smash out a coffee if youre having a busy. Boisterous, lovely staff as usual

Choice of menu is great, quality of food is tops. staff wonderfully warm even in the he dead of winter.They could however improve on maintaining the appearance of the dinning areas, it was and is often in disarray and the thing any new patron wants is a untidy and dirty tables and chairs.

This little Vida e cafe is a buzzing spot for a quick cup of their excellent coffee and a small bite to eat. Lots of people on a Monday afternoon on their laptops or chatting up a storm.

Standard quality Vida coffee and food. Service is standardly poor and unfriendly (except for the one lady who waits tables - she is better!) for years. I return due to convenient location for a quick stint on the laptop, as well as decent size kids play area.

The burgers are tasty and the fries are the nice and crispy but the service is terrible. Waited a long while before we ordered and I had to stand up to place my order, ask for a drink and ask for the bill. The only time the waiter came to our table was to drop the menu, drop the food and drop the bill.

I am a very big coffee person and constantly search for places that make great coffee. Unfortunately I was very unimpressed with such a well known coffee shop franchise. It tasted of poor quality capsule coffee, with some froth dumped on top. Little flavour and not what I expect from a business such as this. I cant fault the service or venue but definately can fault the product.

I am giving two stars, because the staff is friendly. What I cant understand is how they can raise the price of the bacon and scrambled eggs to R70! Used to be R40 for bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomato... and that was two months ago.This is completely insane and in no way is this fair business practice or even ethical. Its daylight robbery and vida should be ashamed. I used to get it, because I get up real early in the morning and it was quick and easy due to the work I do. Not a chance Ill get it again. Man, Vida, you are by far my biggest disappointment of the year!

Good coffee, good location and a new layout which provides ample seating arrangements in and out. Vide E Caffe also comes with mini play area for your kids and obviously that much needed WiFi for your blogging life or business meetings. The staff is pretty friendly and courteous which is a plus.

Lovely little cafe. Great to pop across to if the Wi-Fi stops working. The staff are very helpful, and their drinks are really good. I recommend the hazelnut latte for a hot drink and the chocolate frio for a cold one.
