After experiencing the Melt goodness at the Street Food Festival, I knew I had to visit to experience it again.100% worth it.The toasties are simply amazing, the cheese blend, the bread and the attention to underlying flavours.Started with The Popper and it was as good as before, creamy but with some bite thanks to the jalapeños.Then moved on to The Chicky, simply the best chicken mayo I’ve had. The homemade mayo fantastic and has some welcome zing to it.

Unassuming but amazing. Youd think that a small café selling toasted sandwiches would be humdrum. Quite the opposite... creative, tasty and unique selection of toasted sarnies coupled with the freshest, tastiest chips Ive come across in ages. I highly recommend The Popper on White with Cheesy Jalapeño Fries, rinsed down with some Potion Coffee. But dont stop there. Try everything. Melt will make you want to.

A toasted sarmie is possibly the best comfort food you could get your hands on and then Melt Café takes that idea and puts some class on it. The Classic Toastie with their homemade mayo is divine. In fact, theyre all good!

Great for a quick bite, I recommend the bacon and banana on brown, followed by walk around the corner to the Company Gardens to enjoy it amongst the greenery.One criticism is that one sandwich makes you want more, but two are too much!

This is definitely the way to start the day - delicious toasted sandwiches and kickstarter coffee. The staff is super friendly, they prepred the coffee just the way I like it!!

I ordered the sandwich with nachos, cheese and guacamole. The first bite left me with a frown. Not being one to quantify each and every dining experience, I opened up the sandwich counted three slices of cheddar, three and a half nachos, two chillis and half a knife-full of cream cheese.The guacamole was all but absent. When asked, a member of the kitchen staff said “I put it in, there - the brown stuff” (now, I would confidently say that a large proportion of the guacamole I’ve ever eaten was green) The manager seemed satisfied enough to let this exchange to continue till a stalemate was reached. But in the end he came to the rescue with a I-saved-the-day “what do you want us to do?” At considerable risk of stating the obvious, I suggested that the kitchen add more guacamole. Without a word, from this moment until I left the premises, the second half of my sandwich was graced with a carefully measured quantity of guacamole and dropped from a carefully measured height onto the table in front of me. With the staff clearly under pressure to cope with the 10 customers per hour workload, all were fresh out of damns to give.

Ive ordered online from OrderIn and I was not impressed at all. The presentation of the sandwich and chips Ive ordered looked like it was just thrown into the box. The sandwich was so oily and distasteful. I regret paying R82 for something a child could have made better. Very very disappointing.

Great sandwiches, not many vegetarian options.

There are some rockstar items on the menu (you cant go wrong with the bacon and cheese option) but wouldnt recommend the chips.
