The food was absolutely lovely. The hot chocolate changed my sons life - his words. My daughter said she would rate you 4.5 out of 5 because she was cold. We had to sit outside as that was the only space available that allowed us to sit at a safe distance from others. Was a bit windy and chilly on Sunday. She said it would have been 5 stars if you had heaters outside.I was there the night before and the pizza I ordered for take away was so great (most of it eaten in the car before driving home because it was so delicious) that I had to bring the kids for a treat. Who knew it would be our last hoorah before level 4 lockdown.Thank you for the service received both nights. Waiters are friendly and helpful and were kind enough to keep the fire going so we were warm inside.We love the courtyard and the decor. Will definitely be back again during the day so we can update with some decent pics 😊

Lovely interior and fresh food - if you like chocolatey, sweet hot chocolate then you should definitely order that. The waiters are friendly. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

One of the best cafes in this part of Cape Town. The garden itself is worth the visit. The owner takes great care of the plants.They are also one of the few cafes who bake their own bread. So, do try their sourdough bread.Their cheese cake is pretty unique as well with a coconut dash!Lastly, if you have a sweet tooth then definitely try their big cookie with ice cream. Its a huge chocolate cookie with a molten chocolate filling served with two scoops of ice cream.... Heaven for the sweet craving ones...

A great place to meet up with friends and have a delicious meal or just a coffee. Cocoa Cha Chi’s inside and outside seating areas have an incredible atmosphere. When sitting outside you are surrounded by plants — on the walls, in planters, hanging from the rafters and in a quaint water feature. Inside the restaurant is well decorated with patterned wallpaper, astroturf (interestingly enough) and many more interesting and personable features.

Nice late lunch in the garden. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service was on time and really kept us feeling welcome. Great sourdough sandwich options, tried their bacon and egg. Their own Chai blend is fragrant and tastes spectacular. For dessert I went with their frozen Margherita, partly because it had a little heart next to it, I must say the heart is well deserved. Cheers for the experience. Would recommend for breakfast, brunch, lunch or late lunch.

Absolutely lovely service. Beautiful scenery. Delicious food. Smoking sections for smokers. They offer blankets if youre getting cold while sitting outside. There is three sections, inside, outside and outside smokers section. The cocktails are also really good.

Great breakfast spot with good coffee and an huge variety of breakfast items on the menu. The list of Eggs Benedict variations is nothing short of impressive. Service was great but perhaps the staff chatter could have been quieter. The outside seating looks like it will be awesome in summer.

Sitting at the Cafe can best be described as finding peace amongst the chaos. The setting, music and friendliness of the waitrons makes this Cafe feel like a safe haven.

In the past I always had their delicious dessert when I went to this restaurant, but tonight I tried their food. I had a double beef sauce burger, and as self-proclaimed burger fanatic who has high standards for burgers I can say that this burger is definitely up there. Also, the atmosphere is quite calm so its easy to socialize/communicate with whoever youre with, and the staff are friendly.

Cute little garden Cafe, perfect for an intimate coffee or light meal portions are not that big, but are adequate. Staff were not particularly attentive or friendly but remained professional and helpful. Their cocktails are also quite nice.

Food was on point, service was basic, she did all that was required of her but she had no smile or didnt speak much. The mojito wasnt too fabulous either but was drinkable. Overall experience was good, the manager came and apologized.

Went to COCOA CHA CHI in Observatory today just after 6 the website states that your Happy Hour is Monday to Sunday 5-7 only to be told that it is no longer the case and you only have it on Fridays should your website not reflect what is happening in your business. Very disappointing as it was my anniversary and the actual service was slow as heck been waited for a drink for almost half an hour not sure what happened to the this place. Outdated websites and slow service.

Cocoa Cha Chi needs no introduction. It is a very popular venue which ties its eastethics into the area in which it resides. The venue is an old house which has been turned into an eatery.The portions are big, the milkshakes and smoothies are thick and delicious. Their hand cut chips are crispy and tasty, especially dipped in their sauce. The bacon, avocado , and steak burger which I had was absolutely delicious, topped with lots of avo.Great value for your money.

The customer service is stellar. I live the ambiance and its very hygienic. Theres a chilling area outside. The lighting is really good, the stuff are very friendly. I live theyre scrambled eggs in toast, whoever is behind the kitchen knows what they are doing. Ive used theyre wifi a countless number of times and Ive never had issues with connectivity. I got a free champion sweet one of the times that I was there. Its a great place to grab lunch with some friends or family. For no man shall labor and not eat.

Pizza is hard to come by on a Sunday night in Cape Town as most restaurants close at 8.30. We discovered this place by accident. We ordered the peri peri chicken burger and Luigi pizza. Great no fuss food. Will definitely be back

The restaurant was very quiet, due to students being on holiday. The food and service was excellent. I had pork ribs and the meat was very soft and moist, and very tasty. Now the chips on the other hand are as the menu says hand cut, the portion was good, tasty and very crisp.the ambience of the restaurant was wonderful. Will definitely return again.

One of my favourite go-to restuarants for a lunch or coffee&cake date with peers. Dishes are unique amd flavorful at a reasonable price. I quite enjoy their pastas and nachos (potatoe skins used as the chip). A vibey, quaint setting. Seating inside & outside. Wheelchair accessible and great staff.

Very nice place, with incredibly good staff. Their baked goods are good overall. Avoid the croissants at all costs, though. It is more vegetable oil than anything else, and has a deep--fried flavour. Still feeling sick as I write this. For R30 I would expect a real croissant made with real butter.

The food is so amazing and the staff is lovely! My friends and I took a trip and 4 out of the 5 days we ended with food, drink and lemon poppy cake! We cannot wait for our next trip!

Visit this cafe. It’s something else for sure. Giving this 3 stars because they messed up my order 2 out of 3 times there. However, their food is tasty and their caffeine products are a win too. Service is good and waiters aren’t too invasive or pushy. The wall garden is spectacular. Absolutely prime location. Great for a date.

The coffee and cake are divine! Get there before 9 and pay less for breakfast with a coffee however these breakfasts are smaller than the usual ones. Waiters not the friendliest but otherwise good experience.

Fun small resturant. Very nice breakfast and pasta. My French toast was so crispy yet fluffy which is great! The pasta I had, had so much flavor. Their specials are also great value. R55 for breakfast and a coffee. And R55 for pasta on a Monday which is also great. Will definitely go back

After four years of not having the opportunity to visit Cocoa Cha Chi I was pleasantly impressed during a recent visit - the menu has improved extensively and the atmosphere as well.The range on offer has not expanded but the quality as well, now offering a wide range of meals as well as alcoholic added to their benchmark range of coffees, sodas, shakes and smoothies; which were excellent to begin with.The ambience has matured as the garden is more established now and interior decor more complex.Their prices are very affordable, with a basic burger and chips of better value and quality than the local family restaurant group.
