Its always a welcoming moment wen u enter thru the door of Utar spur, staff are friendly, covid protocol in place.My grandson loves the play area, his always tired wen we done at spur..Thanx for the homely vibe, foods always good..

The manager, a white lady was extremely friendly, did table calls, was in touch with her diners and well in control of her staff. She is sn asset to Spur.

Worst service ever the waitress disappeared, we had to call other staff to help us who also took their own time then we invited the Manager who told us its okay for our waitress to disappear on us coz We just got a huge GROUP that arrived now she also excitedly left. This is the first Wow!! What a disappointment.............

Spur is Spur. You get what you are used to. Never better. Sometimes worse but they are consistent

Horrible experience twice. First some guy assisted and he was really dodgy.Our Bill came to R400 odd change and he asked if we pay R200 by card and other by cash,when I checked the bill we were charged only for one meal and he made up story about the manager asking him to swap machines hence only one bill was printed. Argh but we knew he was just be a skelem.He wanted to keep that R200 for himself.The food was cold and soggy Sies!I went again thinking it was just that guy.Firstly order took too long.When I got food it was burnt and not fresh complained thegriller/chef(woman) came to explain but shewas smelling of alcohol so I understood whythe food was burnt.She offered to make another order,she basically brought the same food with a complimentary drink.I WASDEFEATED.. NEVER AGAIN!

Classic spur. What more is there to say?It burnt down a while ago and was sad but was nice to have things shifted up and changed when they finished renovations it looked really nice.But its your run of the mill spur nothing too fancy or stand outish but a pleasant experience when you take the family out for a well priced and easy meal

Had the senior citizens meal for R79 , ( chicken snitchel & veggies) which included a drink (glass of red wine) and desert (waffel). The food and service was exceptional. Very friendly waitress and great manageress.

Best venue to get value for money when you a pensioner. Cant get better than this. Good meal, glass of wine and a dessert. You just cant beat this

There was an issue with my lamb chops that were definitely not up the standard I expect from Spur. I mentioned it to our waitress after having finished most of my meal.Within moments not only was my feedback positively handled but they removed the item from the bill.Not what I asked for or felt I had any right to expect!Now THAT is groundbreaking customer care! I will definitely be back to check on the next batch of chops!

Wow shocking... we were not received well.Waited very long for a waiter and did were not handled well. Were told that they did not possibly have everything for our meal and we were unsure what was going on. We waited and waited and when the waiter passed we asked could they make the meal and have everything? She said no and they cannot and we cannot substitute for anything else.. and that we would have to wait for the manager since she said no as well.We got up and left because we waited long and were not going to pay full price for full meal and they not able to compromise.We are the customers... and this is how you will chase your customers away!!!

This was the worse experience i ever had at a restaurant. Coming in to the spur the manager was so unfriendly, we sat down and the waiter was extremely off with us. Our kids felt extremely uncomfortable in the play area, the lady that was watching our kids made comments to my toddlers while standing there about mask, extremely childish, the same lady that was at the play area shouted at her colleague that ask her to tone it down with the kids. When we asked our waiter to please cancel the food she cancelled it without asking why. I am still in so much denial with this terrrible experience. We ended up leaving the spur and had the best experience at San Miguel Spur . Our kids were much happier and at ease they could actually play in peace.My daughter woke up this morning and told me that she never wants to go back to the aunty that was so rude

The place was not busy...but the waiter took so long to give us feedback on some machine that was not working for our waffle order..but thankfully the manager was too sweet to follow-up and give us feedback.

If I could make a suggestion, its that Spur should consider all their patrons and not dive headlong and cater for one group of people at the expense of others. I would therefore suggest that Spur not only cater for sport fans with every viewing screen and the speakers blaring sport matches through out the entire establishment at maximum volume.Some people are not sport crazy and come here for a relaxed meal and to have a chat.Definitely a horrible experience when you cannot hear yourself speak, and be disturbed by people screaming while watching a matchIf need be they could surely restrict one area of the establishment for their avid sport fans.

Spur is the same its always been but prices continually increase. Prices are higher than more high-end restaurants. Id rather recommend Tigers milk, Jerrys burgers or even Bossa. All three are more date night worthy at the same costs. (But for kids to play, sure go to spur)

This spur is fantastic came for my grans 70th and they were so professional as well as friendly. Really nice to see spur stepping up their game. This is the spur to go to, food was great atmosphere was great and had a really enjoyable time.

Very few people due to lockdown and curfew. Mostly people collecting takeaways. Quiet meal for two then good.

This place is bitter sweet. When they are empty they provide top class service.They have a great place for kids to play and always supervised ofcourse. Buuuuut as soon as it is a bit packed its hell. I once waited 1.5hours for drinks😒....on top of being parched AF. Our order was wrong. On the second occasion they had a trainee run a few tables and could literally see this poor lady drowning without help or supervision from more experienced staff/manager. Thus resulting in a long wait for food. Occasionally their card machines do not work and if you had to wait long for your meal and the bill its rather annoying that the card machine decides to go offline. Other than that the staff are absolute stars and do the best they can.

This is by far my favourite Spur! The food, the atmosphere and vibe is amazing! My little 1 loves the play areas and the 2 child minders are great....he actually runs to them when we enter. Utah Spur is my definition of a family restaurant. Hats off to the managers and staff!!!

Quiet, good service, reasonably priced.

I really enjoy coming to this Spur with my family. Friendly staff (who all seem to be so great with the kids), great food and 2 lovely kiddies play areas with a child minder present to keep an eye on the little ones. Besides their steak and burgers, if you enjoy a good crumbed calamari starter or main, come to Utah Spur. Theirs is the best.
