Best place to have breakfast in town. You have to try the French Toast. They do their best effort to let you enjoy your experience.

If youre a French Toast Fanatic, you must try theirs. Decadent and delicious. Cosy place with very pleasant staff.

I used to love Lolas; whenever I made my way to Cape Town Id always visit for a meal or two. My last few visits have see the great experience dwindle to an OK experience. The food has become sloppy and the staff focus on themselves and not the customers. The coffee this past week was also disappointing.

My second breakfast there and I absolutely love it. Friendly staff and speedy service. Food is great, just wish the coffee cups where bigger. (But that seems to be a Cape Town problem, not a Lollas problem) They even went as far as to bring water for my dog that I had with me in a dogbowl even. Asked if they are dog friendly and was told, outside is not a problem and as long as they are not busy. Card machines needs an update but the Yoko worked perfectly. So I honestly can give them a 5* on everything.

Well, first because its a hype. Food is great, but place is very small and service.. well service was definitely not good. Took about 1h to have a stuffed croissant and an espresso. As well as the bill saga.. wrong bill, the waitress vanished and we had to escalate to he manager. Espresso also got no body. Tasted like drip coffee.

Food is great, furniture in the restaurant is getting old and damaged though, need to be replaced (the couch inside is all ripped...) otherwise the food, service and atmosphere is great

Not sure if we caught them on an off day..but still a great vibe..ordered the eggs benedict and french toasted croissant...wonderful combination of flavors and taste, but the eggs benedict was cold,and didnt want to wait another 30min for a new one..cappuccinos had a burnt beans taste to it...maybe they should change the beans more regularly..

Great food, decor and atmosphere.

I was pleased to find it on The Entertainer App and decided to treat my hubby to brunch. I am so sad to say it was disastrous. One of the (presumably senior by her behavior) waitresses was chatting so loudly with the kitchen and other waiting staff that we could not help but be subjected to her awful vulgar language, which she did not even attempt to hide. At one point she even loudly recounted how some people she knows are a bunch of _oeses (extreme expletive in locallingo). I could barely stand it, but we had already ordered and it was too cold to move outside. I wont even go in to the rest of the experience regarding the food order, which was disastrous solely because of this girls involvement.When the bill came we were told that they do not offer The Entertainer App on breakfasts, which is a complete contravention of the App rules, but we really just wanted to get away from there as fast as possible.Overall the food was mediocre. Our table waitress was sweet and friendly, but the thought of having to face that loud foul-mouthed girl again in such a small space is too much, and certainly not for average fare.I suspect (from her demeanor) that this specific waitress job was to hold the fort as a senior and represent the owners in their absence, which is unfortunate because this was not at all the case.Overall I dont write negative reviews (rather learn and move on), but this one really stood out for me. There are just too many great spots in Cape Town CBD to ever go back for another bad experience.

It has a good vibe to it and the prices are reasonable would definitely recommend it

The food and service is always fantastic. Its gets busy quickly though, especially around lunch.Highly recommend their breakfast hash (ask nicely for a poached egg!) and their seared tuna is amazing!

Great cafe with very good prices. Had a coffee and eggs Benedict. Service was quick and friendly. We got there just before 9am and got a seat outside no problem. By 9:30 there was a 10minute wait to get a table but the quality of the food is worth the short wait.

While walking down Long Street today, Lolas popped out at me because of the mouth-watering treats displayed in the window. I stopped in for a piece of cheesecake, and it may have been the best cheesecake Ive ever ordered. Not too sweet, a bit tangy, delicious crust. Atmosphere is also very nice - light and bright and inviting. Ill be back!

I really enjoyed the coffee at Lolas Along with the avacado toast. The thing that threw me off were all the scents on the streets. I believe the best place to eat would be inside the cafe. The French toast was delicious though

Met a friend there for breakfast. The food was good. The service was lacking slightly - we werent tended to very often and had to make an effort to get waiters attention.

Was one time in this cafe and reality is far from expectations. On the pictures in internet looks more clean and modern. When we just entrance is very old and dirty. The good point breakfast are tasty, fast and beautiful presentation. For people, who always hurry probably they’ll find this place good, for esthetic I’ll suggest to look for another place

Amazing mussels. Seafood is fresh and tasty. This little spot is one of my favourites on Long Street, and the staff are great, so friendly!

Definitely the place for a good breakfast! The croissant French toast and the eggs Benedict are to die for! Would also recommend getting the three egg omelette and one of their smoothies, especially their banana smoothie.

Craig, the manager and owner, has been here for the past 6 years. The food here was really good and service with a smile. If you are in the area you must make a stop here. The food is freshly prepared which makes the difference!

The food was great but service was very bad. We were served by two different waitresses and both of them completely ignored us. We asked for a table inside, were promised to be moved inside the cafe twice but it never happened. Then we waited 20 mins trying to ask anyone to bring us drinks and after receiving the bill sat around 30 mins waiting for the card machine. There are places with very tasty food too and much much better and friendlier service. I definitely wont go there again

A pleasant setting on the west coast no less dimmed by the ever present smile of the Table Mountain at 11 oclock view angle and muted sneeze of Robben Island at the lunch hour view point! The meals look and taste good even in their somewhat miss rated portion sizes!

My gf and I had an eggs ben and a french crossiant this morning. God, whoever wrote that the food took very long- you didn’t have enough patience to wait! We arrived and ordered - food came within 10 min! The waitresses were so friendly, even on a lazy Sunday morning when most of other shops were close (Guess for Church service). Haven’t mentioned about the food - the deco, the colours and most importantly, the flavours were splendid. This is my virgin review after having visited cafes for so long all over the world - the best service and food, period!

I was sitting in the cafe in front of the counter and all the waiters. The cafe was quiet empty but noone did pay attention to me although they saw me sitting right in front of them. I decided to leave after 20 minutes.

The crowded pavement is frequented by beggars every few minutes so it makes eating and enjoying a meal impossible. The poached eggs were very raw so I did not enjoy it.
