My bf and I came to have waffles. When we got seated we waited almost 20 minutes just for someone to take our order. My bf tried calling a waiter because we didnt know who our waiter was and they all just walked past. Eventually a lady came and took our order. Not sure if shes the manager. We waited even longer for our waffles. We are easy-going people and would understand if there was a situation or something but no one even came to fill us in on whats happening nor did they apologise. Ive never attended this Spur branch before and I wont be back anytime soon 👎

Manager awesome. We had a 79th birthday she made it so special will be hard to forget. Waiter Ashley definitely needs training on how to smile and not get agitated when question regarding the menu. Overall a great place

The worst ever experience from a Spur where I had the same meal 2 days prior at ottery Spur and it was the best fish and calamari I have had in ages and the portion size was so good. Vangate Spur Im not sure what happened but cook needs to be fired and your fish look like it was caught in the river close by. I would rate you a negative 5 if I could. Not impressed after spending so much for this.

I always enjoy going to Vangate Spur. It feels like home and weve been going there as a family for years now. Aunty Ruwayda is definitely a keeper, as she is always helpful and friendly. Ive never ever received bad service here, because when I complained about certain things they would always rectify the situation almost immediately. #1fave

This place doesnt have the best management. We ordered milkshake and they were out and then when we ordered nachos turned out they were out of that too. Didnt even off comps.

It has a nice family atmosphere and has a awesome little playroom for the kids. The food is a 8 1/2 out of 10 and is situated in a central spot...

The person I was ordering my fake away order from at the front desk was on her cellphone having a conversation while I was placing my order. Its unprofessional and ridiculousUpdate: Ruweida, the floor manager contacted me promptly and had said that the person in question is being disciplined. I commend how quickly it took for them to respond to my concerns.

This Spur is a family favourite hangout. Everybody is friendly and we feel more like family than customers. Ruwaida always welcomes us with a big smile and service always great.

Always dine at golden feather spur, but this time around they really disappointed me. The chips and onions werent fresh and the burger was soggy. Big disappointment

The worst service ever.We were given a table and only assisted after 15 minutes of just waiting for our orders to be taken. When the waiter eventually came to assist, we were rushed to order as they were very busy.We eventually got our starter, that was cold. It looked like it had been standing as the cheese on the nachos was hard, and the actual nachos were soggy. We then got our main mails, and the steak I order was dry, even though I requested my steak to be medium rare. I feel as though I could have cooked the steak better, as it was bitter too.The person joining me, had a normal spur burger that she could not get down because it was so dry. The worst part of all is that we only ended up getting our drinks, after we were done eating our food, which was extremely disappointing.The manager however came to apologize for this, and we received our drinks shortly after. When we eventually received our bill we were advised that the person who was suppose to be assisting us, was not there, hence the poor service. To me, as a paying customer that is unacceptable, and not the level of customer service I expect from a reputable company like Spur. This is actually the second time this has occurred, where the waiter just leaves, as this occurred at the branch in Grand West as well.This is unacceptable. I feel like the managers should have contingency plans in place when a member of their staff is on lunch or leaving for the day. You cannot let a customer just sit and wait until someone eventually arrives to assist them.I would not recommend or return to Spur Vangate in future.

The food was top notch and the service was of a high standard. The staff was very attentive. It was a pleasurable visit.

I ordered 2 meals on Bolt food, only for one meal to be delivered. I called and the managers did everything they could to get my order to me. Received complimentary meal and desert for the meal being so late. Wonderful service and will be back for more

Went to golden feather spur Vangate Mall this morning ordered the Ranch breakfast and it was amazing thanks to Ruwayda and Denzil who was the waiter appointed to us had a beautiful breakfast thanks once again to these beautiful souls for always looking after us God bless😍😘

What an amazing Spur... We got the most amazing service from Charles and the food was super tasty.. Staff was happy and chatty. We were also introduced to the spur family card and all the perks was explained to us by a great manager Ruwayda, who is so good at her job.. I had a great relaxing time at golden feather spur. We will be making it our regular spot. Thanks to the serving staff and the manager Ruwayda! 👍

Oh we had such a Nyc experience at vangate spur. Manager Ruwayda was so helpful explaining us about the spur family card and all the purks. We came for breakfast but ended up having lunch. Will come back anytime thanx Ruwayda u made our day

Tried about 10 times to call and collect but i was unable to even get a hold of anyone. I decided to order Humble Burger instead and was much happier with the food and service. Unlikely that il be visiting this Spur.

Great food! Great service! Prices are good although one would expect that little bit more. The bit more as in a slice of tomato and lettuce with all meals would be welcome. It just has that missing touch of a full meal for the price. But otherwise great food and great environment especially during covid as its more tranquil 😃

The worst experience ever we waited for almost a 1 hour for take away food then we had to wait a extra 15 minutes for our cool drinks then a extra 10 minutes for my changes the time we ate the food was cold and they gave too little sauce

Covid protocols in place. Only the cheesy garlic roll was a complete disappointment. It was doughy and soggy at the bottom. We returned it and before the waiter brought it back, our mains had arrived.

Its been a week and no 1 contacted so goes to show that there poor service start at management.So I was contacted by spur manager who apologized for their poor service. Upon saying she wanted me and my family to come back and make it up to us. Finally i gave in and told my wife that Ruwayda the management wants us to come in for a treat. She said she will make it special as it was our wedding anniversary so yes i told my wife lets go. Well Ruwayda she is a lovely person welcomed us openly as for being spoiled nah it was a cheap gesture and nothing special was done. So i wont be going back to vangate spur im ever sorry for taking up that offer that was given to me. I am a regular customer at the spur and this was the first time I was really disappointed in everything I bought except for the spur burgers. Cheddarmelt steak was disgusting. The ribs was burnt to the bone and the mix grill omw was terrible and dry. I phoned for my order and was told 15 minute wait which turned out to almost an hour. So so disappointed in golden feather spur. Will never buy anything there again.

The golden feather spur and the ocean basket seafood restaurant is on the same premises.vi was at the ocean basket. It is totally halal and indeed of high quality.

The service was very good. I think her name was Poli. A matured waitress but very good with people. I waited for my waffle but only because she said she was not prepared to serve me something of that standard. Patricia was also very kind and helpful, especially after my last experience.

Spur is not what it used to be. Service is lackluster and like youre being done a favor. I felt so bad for a little girl, who was celebrating her birthday. What used to be a joyful moment with enthusiastic singing, that warms the heart, no matter how much you protest, turned into a motley crew of 3 waiters, with no enthusiasm, completely ruining a special moment.

While the food was ok the waiting time was quite long. The starter arrived in 10 minutes. Our food took 23 minutes to come and it wasnt hot. Warm maybe but definitely not hot

Overall the experience was enjoyable. The Sunday had a lack of chocolate sauce. The waffle had an odd mixture, it wasnt raw but was close enough to make it that it wasnt finished. The take away burgers were soggy after a 10 minute drive. Which was very much a disgusting experience. The saving grace was The steak. Likely the best steak ive ever had at a spur. I ordered a medium well. And actually got it. Filled with flavour and perfectly done. Even told the waiter to compliment the guy that made it as it was an enjoyable experience that I havent had in ages

Awesome service. My friend & I met for breakfast & she had some work to do so she asked the manager of we could move away from the speaker as we sat right below the speaker with loud music. So the manager politely asked the waiter to turn the volume down. When my friend was done with her work she notified the manager that they can turn the volume up again. Excellent service !
