Worst service ever. I will definately not visit Cape Gate Spur ever again. Smoke area is so dark you cant read the menu. Waitress is so delayed and did not check that food we ordered was correct when she collected it at kitchen counter. Toasted bacon and cheese was what was ordered but received toasted bacon cheese and egg. The egg was just removed in the kitchen and same sandwich was served again. To crown it all I was charged for toasted bacon cheese and egg. I just wonder what would have happened if my daughter was allergic to eggs and the kitchen just removed the egg from I could still see pieces of egg on the sandwich. Very disappointed experience

This has to be one of the best Spur franchise that Ive ever visited. My waitor Brian was amazing. The manager was also fantastic in attending to the minor issue I had with hot vegetables. Overall the service exceeded my expectations and Ill definitely call again. I highly recommend this 🤗😍

The food is as good as a Spur can get and good friendly service. My only gripe with all the Spurs are their coffee which is just bad overall. Its probably the coffee brand perhaps but its not enjoyable as other places. Then again its not specialized in coffee but in todays age of coffees getting the red carpet treatment it should be general practice for all restaurants to have a decent coffee brand. If you are coming here for that reason particularly maybe consider other options then. This Spur however is very helpful and professional friendly staff which to me is one of the best amongst many.

We visited on 1Aug21 for breakfast. Our waitress Kaylyn was efficient, she brought new meaning to dynamite comes in small packages . The management was wonderful kept checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. Covid protocols in place allowed us to celebrate my father in laws birthday safely. Food was lovely and service was excellent. Keep up the good work

Ive been to many Spurs and this is the best! The Quality and Quantity of thr Food was Spectacular. Our Waiter was super attentive and catered to our needs. Management was the best and checked up on us. I would definitely recommend it to everyone as it will be the Spur of my choice from now on.

A typical Spur where you can get typical Spur food under typical Spur service. In short: one of South Africas average franchise chains with food thats over priced for its average quality. If youre a Spur fan, feel free to dine here. If you are not. This Spur isnt going to change your mind.

Great service and delicious food, but the Coffee serve with the breakfast are always on the cold side and tastes like cold Coffee that was warmed up. Otherwize great Spur Restaurant.

The waiter, Dylan was not only very efficient but also went above an beyond making us feel welcome and completely comfortable. He has an amazing sense of humor and is proficient in English and Afrikaans. The food was incredible which only added to the overall experience.

Got an underdone steak and sauce tasted like soap. Waiter only brought my childs food after my husband had finished eating(it was ordered at the same time).Manager very courteous about sorting out the steak though.

What a breath of fresh air from Chaokia Spur this morning. We had such wonderfull service from our waitress Dee. We have been to the Spur a few times before and never a bad experience, but today was exceptionally good. My wife and I enjoyed a breakfast that was served just the way we like it and was delivered in very good time. Our daughter had a kiddies breakfast, and for the first time ever, our waitress took initiative and brought along a set of plastic cutlery for her to eat her meal with. The manager Niel was also very engaging, we had a great chat with him. However, while having our meal, we where left in peace but the waitress was always in sight should we have needed anything without asking us if everything was alright 100 times witch some waiters often do. Thank you Cahokia Spur team for making our visit to your establishment one to remember. I would definitely recommend you to anyone that are looking to get out for a top class experience.

Food took a bit long. Waiter was friendly and attentive. But chicken SPECIAL that was advertised on tv and should have been good was dry and tasted like it was warmed up in a microwave. But not a awful experience. Just spend my money going somewhere else next time

I ordered the chicken, avo and bacon salad on Saturday. 7/8 and boy oh boy was I disappointed. The chicken was so white, bland no flavor no spice, nothing. I could not believe what I was seeing. There was only 8 small pieces of chicken , cut in cubes, on the top.I took some of my salad dressing at home, since this was not even given as well and added it just to give some flavor to it.Then I could not understand why it felt like I was eating sand or something, turns out the lettuce was not washed.. There was black stuff in the middle, ofcourse I am going to check all the leafy stuff in this bowl and low and behold, Spur I am shocked, do you know the bacteria that gets trapped inside unwashed Lettuce. Always good food but portions seem to vary always. Ordering the same meal twice might give you a different amount of chips each time. However the staff are extremely friendly and my son enjoys the play area very much

I t was an enormous affair and my family and I had a great time and the Service rxcellent, unobtrusive but quick, friendly and efficient with the food arriving quickly but exquisitely made.. Will now top my list of Spurs even though I an avid Pescatarian..... Lovely place, nice views and above all that a ready lift and stairs to whisk you up or down. ❤️❤️❤️

Went for breakfast, the coffee beans was burnt had a really bad roast taste to it and the chips they served looked old, oily and tasted like fish.Complained to management, but will never again go to Spur.

Worst SPUR or any restaurant ever..About 15 tables in restaurant seated, a million waiters and other staff in restaurant..Waited 30min just for someone to come and take our drinks order.Dont even have a cloth to clean the table and took another 10min to find one.Very disappointing, very poor.I will write another review after my food arrives.. if it will....

The quality of service and food not as it used to be. Got butter that was all melted and cold cheese griller. Had to go and look for the waiter to get other butter and when it came 2 of the containers was already opened and half used

Lovely place, hosted a birthday party for a friend. All covid-19 protocol were observed.

The steak was nicely cooked. Ordered it medium rare and received exactly how I like it. The mushrooms we ordered though was a disappointment. The amount received for the money spent wasnt worth it. We didnt receive any sauces with our starters and the waffle was as flat as a pancake. Mains were good but starters and dessert were a let down

We were greated at entrance through friendly staff. Our food was fast, fresh and hot. Our waiter (whos name I cannot remember, sorry) was also very friendly.We had the Monday burger special for R60 a single burger and pay R15 extra for your toppings so basically R75 with chips and onion rings, definitely worth the ZAR.Honestly I lost interest is Spur, but todays food and service changed my mind and they will definitely be seeing me again.

I waited over 30minutes for someone to attend to me, I eventually had to call for assistance myself, when the waiter came he said he tought someone was assisting me. I mean they kept passing by me and not a single person asked if I had been assisted or not.! Never again shall you find me there!

This morning at 8.43 we wanted to go and have a breakfast at this Spur. Firstly we were told that they only open at 9pm. When my husband asked anout the guests that were already sitting inside, the lady said that today they have a special where we can go in earlier. Seeing that 1stly we were told they are not open yet and then as if doing us a favour.....another lady telling us we can go in as it is a special. Ridiculous to only open at 9 for breakfast... and secondly all the staff are not aware of this ridiculous special. Will not try again...rather go to Wimpy that opens at a decent time.

I have been waiting for a call back from the restaurant regarding footage and the incident, I was told I would get feedback regarding this on the 28/04/27 at 3pm were we called in ourselves yet again to get feedback being told the owner has not even been in. Service received at Spur cape gate was very very good, The spur is located away from every other store and it is not located where people walk pass by you and look at you while you are eating, Like in the food court where Kfc and the other food shops are, we were served by Oswald, very great gentlemen and he friendly and passionate and patient with his clients, he is not judgemental and i loved it, the lady at the reception area was also very friendly and gave us a seat to sit at which was comfortable and also out of the way, I am a famous person and noone noticed me Because it was not in the eyes for everyone to notice me, thank you Spur management and staff job welldone, when i am in cape town again i will surely visit again, i will refer all my business partners and meetings to this spur. ANYONE ELSE I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS Spur. Thank you very much, The bill came out less then what i expected it to be, it was my daughters birthday and they remembered to sing for her.
