Went there early in the morning.Was not full at all. Loved shopping like that.Screens at check out counters.Sanitizing of hands and trolleys when you enter.Staff are very friendly.

We had a very disappointing experience with the customer care service. Having forgotten something from another shop in the trolley, we immediately called them to assist. We we put through to the customer care line but had to wait for 10 minutes. By that time we were already able to turn around and get back to the shop in person.Pathetic, disinterested and slow assistance was offered.While I dont really blame the staff for the result (having lost brand new things that I forgot in the trolley) it was extremely frustrating to have to rely on sluggish staff. Pitiful customer care service.

Bought Portugese Rolls here today, regular crispy roll recipe with flour over top, thought itd be like other Checkers branch Portugese Rolls but no.

Always a pleasure to shop here.I had a problem with the cashier, as I was asking for a cash back. The EFT allows me to tap my card. The cashier told me not to tap, without explaining to me that I wont be able to make a withdrawal, which in the end I had to do 2 transactions.I initially thought that the EFT was out of order, so I tapped to see if it was faulty, and low and behold, the sale was approved, less the cash backI told her that she cannot just tell me I cant do something, if Im allowed to do an action, without giving me with a valid reason. I also confirmed with her that she told me, but without giving me a reason.Is it so difficult to explain to the customer?

Some work needs to be done re customer service department, but the choice of goods are very good, love the varietys. Question why did the security on exit ask me to repack my smaller basket trolley into large trolly upon leaving? Waste of time and must say hell of an effort, but alas I did it....

Just a question is Till numerous 7 the gathering point ? Highly disgusted with the lack of social distancing.

The worst service ever this morning 30 March 2021. Staff screaming not chatting to each other while me, a customer are in the middle to fetch an item from the shelf.The same with to lady staff members..Poor serve at the till too.Ag no man Checkers Cape Gate shame in you!

I bought a play store and it was damagedBecause of the idot behind the till and i lost 1000 rand the employees dont know how to handle their products

The store is huge. Everything under one roof. The ailes are very narrow. Too cluttered. The staff are friendly and quick at the tills. There produce is BAD.

It is clean and has no bad odors that will chase you away. Staff are professional and friendly. They need to keep up the good service. There is lots of parking available. The one issue is if the shop gets busy they need to open up more tills. This will allow it to flow and not make the customer frustrated waiting in the long rows.

The worst service ever. Your cold section and hot section. Your cashers also does not greet. Never a manager in sight. Please send them for some training.

Would be nice to have an alternate cellphone contact number or an email address, Ive been calling all morning and getting no response guys...

Fresh food, non foods, stationery , BBQ items, sufficient staff, customersl service is fair.

Ive had no issues so far with this checkers besides the fact that they really need to stop storing half of their stock in the middle of the isles, especially after pay day when the shop is so crowded. It is really frustrating to have to wait ages for the people that seem pretty indecisive on what they want to take or not. The tills should also be extended.. did shopping today and ended up having to pack stuff back into the trolley before they could scan the rest to create more space.

Was very busy..aisles narrow

One of my favourite brands and shop. It has all the necessary products. Fresh produce and warm food for those no-cooking days or lunchtimes.Unfortunately Ive had a bad encounter with a cashier who soured the experience.No fault of the shop though. Great place to shop.

This checkers is often really busy, but well stocked and the trading hours are really good. It is very neat and well kept. The staff members I experienced are really friendly and helpful.

Definitely not the cleanest stores around, especially the trolleys and the cashier points. Better places to shop, will more than likely not be returning to this store, unless I want to pick up germs for dinner, get your act together management, or get other management.

Good bakery with fresh products and also fresh fish and good quality meat.There is a pharmacy with friendly and helpfull staff. The Checkers bottle store is at the entrance with a large variety to choose from. At the money market counter you can buy air tickets, electricity, bus tickets, and a lot more money concern matters

I can not give this shop any stars, however, it would have been nice to be able to give black dots for poor service and customer service. I have had numerous complaints about this checkers, staff not trained properly, deli staff rubbing in their faces and then want to dish food for customers, and some of your staff members, well if they were any slower, they would go backwards, worst is, nothing was done to rectify complaints. Today my fiancée fell in your shop and was hurt, what I did not realize is that you have a doctor working in your shop posing as an admin manager. When my fiancée complained to her about the fall, her attitude was and I quote it is not so bad, you did not break anything!! I suppose she in her infinite wisdom and with her x-ray glasses, she saw exactly what went on inside my fiancees body. Whats even more shocking is the mere fact that she could not even provide a sheet of paper for my fiancée to write down her details for checkers who was supposed to send it of to your insurance, and the best is, we are still waiting for her call to let us know whats going on as far as this matter is concerned. They keep taking people from behind me to move to the next queue while I wait. Two people who were behind me already left while I wait on the cashier to keep swiping barcodes for the complimentary starter kits. I wont come here again because there is no logic in the way they work here

Had to wait 10 minutes for a manager to authorise a return. The store was not busy but they just didnt seem to care. The cashier even went to them to try to get them.

Great selection of fruit and veg, staff friendly and helpful. Lots of tellers available for a quick exit.

How do you train the packers at the paying points??? The packer actually packed my Asian Salad mix at the bottom of the bag and the rest of my groceries on top of it ! Really? flat squashed lettuce leaves.... Nee o my hel !!

Sorry to say but the terrible attitude the cashiers have is the reason why I shop at your biggest competitor in the mall.. They are much friendlier there.

Terrible customer service. I was there this morning to get a coffee and had to literally wait for the cashiers to finish their fat chat before I was served. and then after all that they got my order completely wrong. very disappointed.

Would be a great place to shop if wasnt for some of the staff it is almost like theyre on a permanent go slow, the customer is the last thing on their mind if youre in a hurry dont go there

The store is not very clean or organised, the staff at the bakery have such loud conversations and never notices when people are waiting to be served. Furthermore, the management and cashiers are woefully rude and not helpful at all. This store is possibly one of my least favorite places to shop at.

Not always easy shopping. Often trolleys loaded with stock, and boxes in the aisles, being unpacked making it difficult to get to where you want to be. I also found that not all staff are willing to assist with a price query rather suggesting that you go ask in front. Disappointing.

They have limited variety of items which I could not find. Lines are very long, not all tills open. I do not see the point of having so many tills when when they are not manned and the lines are so long that the aisles are blocked.

Store is an absolute dumpster fire in terms of service. Cashiers cannot do ANYTHING without calling a supervisor. One of the most frustrating places to shop i have ever encountered.

Your till lines are going nowhere. I expect lines to be long this time of year but this is next level delayed. People have abandoned trolleys all over the store.

Dirty, untidy no one there cares, not the staff, not the managers! All have an attitude and will make you wait purposely in line for a very long time. BTW let your cashiers STAND at the tills.
