Stopped for lunch, and Sevruga didnt disappoint... lovely fresh vegetarian sushi, and a delectable prawn tian. Our waitress was lovely, but we couldnt find her when we wanted the bill. Lots of other staff around, but as the restaurant was quiet they werent paying attention...

Its such a beautiful place. The ambiance and setting is lovely. The food was just ok but not bad at all, its worth the try. (Make sure your pockets are ready too😋)

Sevruga is a tastefully decorated restaurant on the V&A Waterfront. Perfect for people watching while having a great cocktail! I enjoyed their Salmon Rainbow Rolls and Cucumber Maki, which were both bulging with fresh ingredients. My waiter Markus was friendly and attentive, and made wonderful meal suggestions for my next visit. Thank you for a great afternoon!

Loved the 3 course meal options on Hyperli voucher. Highly recommend the mussels and the dark chocolate tart! The steak was good but not the best. Starter and dessert definitely made up and will be back for the mussels and tart!Update: Visited Sevruga again and had the seafood linguine which was magical!! Highly recommend!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is romantic. Seafood pasta was delicious, but the quantity is not much, but its really difficult to enjoy salad. Its sour and bitter.

I was so happy that I celebrated part of my birthday here. The place is exquisite, beautiful and very comfortable. You can seat inside or outside. The outside is enclosed in case its windy and cold. The staff were friendly, kind and very attentive. The food was really topnotch. I absolutely loved the carpaccio I had for starters. My sirloin was cooked to perfection (medium), the way I like it. It was tender and tasty. The surprise dessert was just the cherry on top. Our waiter even sang for me. I was really happy with both the service and the food. The place is kid-friendly so it would be a great place for a family lunch or dinner. Reservations are required, so make your reservation to secure a place. Highly recommended.

This place is a pleasant spot has some yummy food and tasty cocktails. The look and feel is interesting not my fave but I’m sure some people love it. The toilets are clean and well kept be careful if you tall you might hit your head as it’s low. The waiters are helpful and be friendly and well trained. The floor manager always seems out of breathe and very busy not a nice feeling to walk into that. They have some great deals so if you on a budget check it out.

Fine dining experience. Great ambiance right by the waterfront. Refreshing sea views. It is enclosed in glass so you dont feel the Cape town wind experience. The staff were friendly amazing and knew their menu. There were specials for 2 or 3 course options which were reasonably priced as well.

The service was okay, their sushi is fresh and they had a special on that. Also, its a beautiful place with the greenery inside, impeccable choice of music. However the main we bought which was lamb with mash and green beans was burnt, so we didnt really enjoy that.

Me and my husband love trying new places and we decided to visit Sevruga Restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which was definitely a good decision. We were seated on the terrace section with the spectacular view of the harbour and the interior of the restaurant was so beautiful. Me and my husband enjoyed a 2 course meal that was both so delicious and their cocktails was refreshing and lovely. We both absolutely enjoyed it. The waiter was really kind and friendly. This is definitely a place I would go back to and would recommend anyone to visit this beautiful restaurant.

What a wonderful venue located at the V&A Waterfront that balances good food with excellent service.The place is seafood focused and they know what they are doing.They stick to mainstream dishes rather than anything experimental which shows that they know what their customers want.Seating is decent and also caters to wheelchair users. Toilets are clean and acceptable.Recommended dish is the Kingklip which really brings out its flavour.

Wow this place serves Devine food at an affordable prices, we ate 3 course meals at R225 each. The cocktail were also discounted. So we ate decent.food at a very affordable prices.

Restaurant was not crowded, ambience was good and the waiter was attentive. The food was amazing. Hubbie had sushi for starter and main and creme brulé he says it was excellent. I had the steamed mussels - delicious, gnocchi - soft pasta, delicious artichokes and crunchy bits with a great sauce and the dark choc tart - sublime. Overall great experience with delicious food and good portions.

Sushi was nice... no complaints, creme brulee tasted good, but the caramelized top was too thin and the bottom was watery. Service was average and slightly rushed, but the setting is lovely and makes for an overall enjoyable experience.

Definitely family orientated. Service was excellent and friendly. My Mothers day supper was a superb experience. ...Chefs corner....calamari was a bit bland, needed a bit more flavour. Overall a very friendly staff group.

Pleasant ambiance, but the service was slow. We really enjoyed the staters, but the main dish which was fish of the day was not fresh. Sushi was ok. Seasoning of all foods were delicious. We went there during the pandemic and the waiters didn’t wear their masks properly.

We had the two course special. Overall the experience was amazing. Great ambience, beautiful setting and lovely and helpful staff.We all had a sushi starter - which was across the board - both consistent and delicious (5/5 stars).For mains, we had the sushi and sirloin steak with fries. The sushi matched the quality of the starters - which was beautiful prepared and presented.While, 2 of the steak order served at our table was more underdone then requested - the overall quality was great with the food seasoned well.Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely go back.

I had a wonderful food sensation experience, fine food at its best. We had a tasty set menu. Service was not however at its best and simple things like not having serviettes and cutlery set on the table would take away from Sevrugas fine dining experience. It was only given after asking twice and after the time the starter was already served. For a fine dining experience, I would go somewhere else to get both excellent service and food, not just the one.

The place has simple yet elegant decorations, the service was awesome ohhhh and the food amazingly delicious from the starter, to the main to dessert wow and the portions are quite generous. The only reason Im not giving 5* is that the ice cream was melted and a bit on the icy than the creamy side

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in. I had a 3 course meal, with a Spier Secert Champagne. The prices fit within your budget if you go with the set menu, the 3 course meal @ R229 or a 2 course meal @ R185. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. Will definitely be back again.

Fantastic restaurant situated in the Waterfront. The food was delicious - I would especially recommend the sushi. They also offered a great variety of specials. The service was good and the staff were friendly. We had a great table that let us enjoy views of the harbour. However, this is quite a pricey restaurant.

Very good food, as per most of my experiences with Sevruga. The steaks were cooked very well, despite only having a light char. The accompanying sauce was a bit too sweet and rich, however.

We had the sushi cocktail special (which brought their fairly high prices down to just about normal) I definitely expected more from a restaurant with their reputation and pricing.

Sevruga is undoubtedly one of the finest at the V&A Waterfront. It never disappoints!

The staff went out of their way to make my birthday absolutely special. The food we had ordered was superb and it did not take long. Their drinks are unique and inexpensive and the view is just perfect. I would recommend you try Sevruga if you havent already been.

Our meals were beautiful and delicious. See pics. Only negative is the slow service, loud music, and many staff werent wearing their masks correctly. The front manager was covering her chin instead of her mouth and nose.

Great service from our server but be prepared to wait a long time after you place your order for food. The bar churns out cocktails at a reasonably good speed. Classic cocktails are at half price from 12-5pm and the Long Island iced teas are very well made. Would recommend.The sushi platters were good but you are better off ordering from the classic sushi that is at half price from 12pm-5pm. It adds up to be cheaper than the silver, gold, platinum etc. platters.DO NOT ORDER THE STARTERS. the asparagus (refer to photo), costs R105 and there’s only 3 pathetic sticks of asparagus. Absurd. They also have a Tian Of Prawns on special at R120 - staff described it as 3 prawns in some fancy cooked style. But really?? 3 sticks of asparagus for R105 is ridiculous.Seared grilled prawns in the main course page, were really yummy.

Sevruga is a lovely dining experience. Overlooking the waterfront right next to where tourist boats leave, the area is constantly buzzing, making it the perfect spot for lunching while you people watch.Their food is great! On several occasions Ive had sushi, which is always fresh and flavorful.Their dim sum is bright and delish, a modern, South African twist on the Asian tradition.Id highly recommend this place!

When sitting outside, the atmosphere is great - You will be overlooking the docks. Service was okay, we did not feel like we were priority.We did not need to book.Overall a great experience.

Great service but i think they can still improve. Pairing a lemon sorbet with a chocolat fondant was not really a great choice. That said the seafood is great. Waiters was one of the best.

The setting is really pretty, the staff are very professional and friendly. And oh, the food! I had the beef carpaccio as a starter and it was amazing - Ill definitely order it again. I also had the seafood linguine and the creme brulee, which I also absolutely loved.I cant wait to try their other dishes.

Good service and very good food! The atmosphere is cosy and I personally prefer it more than beluga. Good selection on the menu with the dim sum on top form as usual. Sushi was a bit bland, but other mains were really good. The ribs dish had way too many onion rings.

From the friendly, helpful waitron who gave all the best suggestions (thanks Martin!) to the absolutely amazing food, it was a wonderful lunch. Will definitely recommend for anyone wanting a first class meal on the Waterfront.

Had quite a lovely evening out at Sevruga. Staff were amazing and 5he ambiance great too. The food was delicious and the special of R235 for 3 courses was amazing. It was real value for money. The courses were served quite quick with little time to breathe but overall a great time was had.

Always great spot and worth while sushi special from noon. I enjoy coming here for a quick bite to eat by myself between shopping sprees as there are so many people to watch and boats to see coming in and out of the harbor. The staff are always lovely and sushi is always fresh

This place was by far my favourite restaurant for the week I was staying at the V&A Waterfront. Their service is of 5 star status. My waiter Emson was absolutely a star. He went over and beyond what his service should be. He sold the restaurant to me so well that as long as Im in Cape Town, I must eat at Sevruga.Their food cant be described by words....their wine list was also impressive.The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfectly cosy with a 5 star look and feel.If you want 5 star food, service and decor, Sevruga is the one.

Lovely setting and atmosphere. We enjoyed the half-price sushi and cocktails, a great deal for good food. Would have given 5 stars if one of the managers didnt walk through the restaurant all evening wearing no mask at all.

Everything that I have had from Sevruga has been well balanced and delicious. Definitely my favourite place to have chocolate fondant.

Food was very good. However the manager was very aggressive toward my husband and I. Which was honestly not needed. but my reason for a low rating is that the manager came to our table and took his mask off.WEAR A MASK !! If he doesnt wear a mask interacting with customers I am sure he doesnt even when in the kitchen or speaking to staff.There is so much sadness in the air with all the Covid 19 related deaths. We are all excited to finally be going out again. But please everyone wear a mask and sanitize. This is serious.
