The restaurant has a nice atmosphere inside and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was great and the dessert was delicious. Its also located in Oakfields shopping centre which is ideal. Would specifically recommend going here for seafood. Overall a good experience and will be back

We ordered fish and chips and a platter for oneThe fish was full of bones from the first bite.we called the manager to be told thats the way he gets it from head office nothing they can do or we must order the king klip. The platter for one was not worth the money very disappointing

I like the food offered by Ocean Basket and in this regard the Oakfields Ocean Basket held up their end of the deal. But thats where it more or less ended. Ambience could be described as non-existent to austere, service levels barely adequate - I would go back only if I specifically felt like having one of their dishes - there is nothing else attracting me to this utilitarian outlet.

Terrible quality. Bought platter for two. Rice tasted off, prawns were burnt and fish was rubbery... Highly disappointed, not Ocean Basket quality I know.

Food was horrible butter sauce spoilt the whole meal tasted like vinegar.The wine special for fathers day was almost undrinkable .l am a Ocean Basket fan butb they wont see me again.

Disappointing. The sushi was bland, as was the ginger. The kingklip bites were burnt or overfried in old oil and bitter. My partner enjoyed his oysters a lot but the spinakopita on his platter was also overcooked.

The food was not the quality I am used to from ocean basket. The kingklip and prawns was overcooked and stringy and tough. The flavor was fine, and was still edible. Not sure if I will go back for a while.

Im sorry to have to say, but Im quite disappointed in tonights service. Firstly, none of the phone lines were working. We then placed our order online, when we got there no one knew what was going on.Our fish had so many bones in it, and the grilled hake portions were dry and broken, as if they had gotten stuck on the pan. And we were so looking forward to our dinner :(

Very sad to say this about the service, internet times says 9pm closing, we reached there 1 whole hour before closing and before getting seated the waiter comes up to us and says we can only order take away, when we wanted to sit in and dine, the worse service I have being to for the first time ,we spoke to the manager and he says we can have a quick one, what does that suppose to mean you their with your family and have a quick one hows that possible, we had to just walk out without dinning, and the manager also just walks away, very very bad experience at ocean basket oakfields

Lovely decorative mid priced sea food restaurant. Service was good and the food tasty. It was a busy evening making it very noisy and I found it difficult to understand the conversation at times.

Best value for money from a restaurant... we frequent this particular Ocean Basket a lot... consistently super delicious food and friendly attentive service. Drinks i find a bit pricey for what you get but the food makes up for it. Owners are always around and working the floor. Love it!

Food is good here, and service is normally quite fast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very noisy, Greek type vibe here, so you battle to communicate around a table if your hearing is not good, but youre too busy eating to talk anyway! Gets very busy on weekends at night. Lekker place!

The food is good, the waiters are friendly and there is never a long wait for your order. All in all, its always an enjoyable experience. The play area is not bad, considering the space they have to work with. I give only 3 starts because on more than one occasion there has been damage to the jungle gym netting which is dangerous for the smaller kids playing, without even a warning sign.

Best place ever !! Really love the prawns and calamari there !! We have been going there for a while and the food has always been great they never disappoint! And at great prices . Food was average service was fine. Only complaints were my wifes queen prawns were over done and they had very little lemon butter sauce she had to request more, we also ordered Kahlua Dom Pedros which had to be sent back as we could not taste the Kahlua in either of them the manager was very fast to correct and fix with 2 new Pedros.
