I really enjoy having dinner here at this Spur. The atmosphere is electric, the food is exquisite (especially the burgers) and the service from Moscow is next level. Thank you Moscow and thank you Spur!

With Spur, you know what you are getting. Good food, good service. Burgers, steaks, etc. A little sad that the childrens area has been downgraded. Not sure if it is just during Covid but our kids enjoyed the larger area. Although for being upstairs it does well as a family restaurant.

This Spur was good, but service levels here has dropped drastically. And that too with the restaurant so quiet. Seems like the waitering staff cannot handle a few tables.

Service was good. But no 5 roses tea or hp sauce with breakfast. Only offered rooibos tea. No horlicks only hot chocolate or coffee.

We went in for a quick brekkie. We all ordered millshakes and coffees. I ordered the unreal breakfast. We waited 40min just to find out the waiter never clocked my order

Sat there for 10 before being acknowledged. When the food eventually came it was ice cold. Walked out.

So we sitting waiting to order for the longest of time I had to call the Manger who did not answer his phone. Im sad(THAT POST WAS OLD)The Manger/ Owner saw my post and helped me out with this problem. Thank you so Prosper much appreciated

It was quiet but the service and waiters where not attending us. Worst service, making customers feel like they are being done a favour. Staying at home and cooking would have been faster than receiving service that is extremely below standard.

Food is always good, in particular, the goodie burger.Play area for children is a bit small though.The smoking area feels a bit dingy (but which smoking area doesn’t)

The service was very poor, food took almost an hour to arrive after several complaints. The prawns were soaking in oil, the veggies were disgusting. The pork was dry and tasteless as it was only seasoned and basted on the one side. Despite the food arriving late, it was cold. Never coming back here.

Food was nice..service was a bit slow but it is new years day. Red wine must please be kept in fridge once opened because our room temperature climate is hot. Wine is awful and I had send it back.

We did not have the usual experience we enjoy at this Spur. First order was incorrect and sent it back. The replacement was also unsatisfactory but then just kept quiet. The other order was also incorrect but just kept quite. The waiter was new but tried. We will not go again soon. This was our third in a row visit that was unsatisfactory.

I had ordered a 2xburger special, recieved 2 half burgers squashed in a box.

My husband surprised me with a dinner at spur, with flowers ect.And the waitress was in on it all.Had a great evening.

Food was good however the only downfall is that staff are not properly equipped to handle volumes of people at month end . . . We were asked to wait while a table became available and three other families were seated before us because staff do not communicate with each other and waiters seat according to their table arrangements

The place was not that busy, on a Sunday night at 6 but our food nearly took an hour to come, today my wife and child is sick and could not go to school due to the chicken snitchel. Will not visit this place again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not good at all. I had a 1/2 Chicken and it was deep fried not grilled. The remaining food was below average. Spur as a group has see the last of me, disappointment after disappointment.

Amazing service

My meal was not so great (Portuguese steak). It had obviously been cooked from frozen and was tough and dry despite being grossly undercooked. The manager was friendly, extremely apologetic and offered to refund me fully - I was impressed but declined as Id eaten a bit of it already and decided to take it home for my dog. However my daughter and hubby said their meals were delicious (Spur Burger and Spare Ribs). They have a lovely kiddies play area with staff in attendance - even offering free face painting. I would definitely give them another chance. 😊

I had my kids birthday party yesterday and all was well until I discovered that I forgot my wallet when I got home. I went back there and the waiter called me by my name, which I never told him. This clearly shows that he had access to my wallet which had my personal information. The footage they showed us does not show the table we were seating at when I paid, conveniently so. Can the waiter (whose name is Mthokozisi I think) just return my wallet, he can take the cash and just return my cards. I am completely disappointed that one of my kids favorite place will be a no go area now because of one person, after we had such an amazing time!

Service was amazing, and the food just as good. One of the best Spurs Ive been to. I would recommend a visit.

Quite saddened that the childrens play area has been made so small, used to be our favourite place to come with our child, especially on a rainy day, really felt very disappointed today when we saw that the play area is so tiny now, there used to be two trampolines, loads of space for children to run around. Would be a joy of the owners read this and made the play area awesome again, there really was nothing like it in Benoni that had the kind of play area like this Spur used to have.

Today the 1st of January it was disgusting 🙈 the floors were dirty - the tables and chairs were dirty! No toilet paper and all the waiters standing around like theres nothing to do! When do they clean under the tables???

HygieneI have been coming to this Spur every Tuesday for the last 3 weeks and have always had a pleasant experience,friendly staff good food,but not today.Having ordered the breakfast and enjoying it nothing puts me more off the food than finding a hair in it.Must also just add that the manageres handled the situation very well and because of that I will return,but please make sure that the kitchen enforces hygiene while preparing the food.

Went here to celebrate a birthday party. This time around they really dropped the ball on us. They got our order wrong, to bring starters we did not order. Then they went to serve people who came after us food, after we ordered before them. We sat almost an hour waiting for food. Went there to eat only to be starved by Spur.We raised our complaint to the manager, only to get the I hear you from him. Nothing was done to salvage the situation, not even an explanation for the delay was given.

The food is good and well prepared, service was fair. The food came as we ordered it, although we had specific requests on your food, it came as we requested. One of the few restaurants that could get it right the first time.

I would not recommend Santa Cruz Spur Northmead Spur to anyone, I was served rotten fish, I ordered hake and calamari, when I took a bite the fish had a disgusting offish taste. Am appalled and disgusted

Food was mediocre at best, service was decent though, aircon was not working and even with a barely filled restuarant with felt like we were cooking in the heat. Kids area is decent though.

We were in quite a rush and asked our waiter to have our food prepared as quick as possible and to our surprise, our food arrived quickly and tasted great. Not undercooked. The kids also love the play area and can soen hours there.

Good friendly service. However, were finding Spurs value for money diminishing with reduced food portions, good specials discontinued and increased food and beverage prices. This particular spur has very limited seating close to the kids play area, making it difficult to monitor your kids when seated elsewhere.
