Had Sunday lunch with family for a 60th birthday, had an awesome time, the food was delicious, and, Andile our Waiter and Joyces (Manager) service was exceptional👌🏼👌🏼

We stayed over at Spier before and after our wedding with our loved ones. We continued touring through Capetown and ended up staying two more nights at Spier to end off our honeymoon with a bang! Thank you. We enjoyed our time at Spier. We will return with our whole family to celebrate our one year anniversary. God willing.

We stayed at Spier for 4 nights and absolutely loved the breakfasts at the hotel restaurant. The choice for breakfast was great and everything tasted delicious. The setting is wonderful and the restaurant itself very comfortable and spacious. The service is very friendly, but quite slow even though it wasnt too busy during any of the meals. On the negative side, the choice for lunch/dinner is extremely limited and the in room dining was subpar (we had pizza and Caesar salad). Please improve the a la carte menu and in room dining and youll deserve 5*

Located on the Spier wine farm the hotel has a cool quirky mix of modern and rustic feels.We came here for dinner before viewing the light show. We were given incorrect information when we phoned regarding the burger special hours, and this wasnt highlighted on the menus online. The menu when we did actually arrive was also a lot more restricted than the one posted online with quite a narrow selection available.The butternut risotta barely had any butternut but was relatively tasty, and the line fish was quite average, with a side of fries that was clearly just mccain chips. Was kind of expecting something more amazing from a place like spier. The service by the spier staff was however amazing

Staying here for the weekend with a breakfast included package. Last night myself and my partner had dinner at the restaurant and were absolutely delighted to a fantastic quality of food and service. I had the Oxtail daish and she had the vegeterian Quinoa risotto. The rooms we stayed in are excellent and massive; with air-conditioning, a massive king-sized bed, well kept bathroom with shower and bathtub. I am extremely happy with Spier! Their wines have improved too since I was last here in 2017. Compliments to the care takers, waitrons, owners etc.

So often you have an establishment like Spier with a great reputation. And then you are disappointed by their food. But Spiers West Coast Mussels. Probably the best I have tasted in my entire life.

Had an awesome weekend. During COVID times, it was good for our daughter to get out and run around. Room was good, service even better. Already planning our next visit.

On Sunday 18 July 2021, I had pork belly for lunch at Spier Hotel. Price: R205. The meal was average. Nothing to write home about.

I went to the Spier hotel restaurant for breakfast with my colleagues today and they could not offer any vegan options for me. The only option on the breakfast menu was avo toast and they didnt have avo.I asked to order from the main menu (which the website states is an all day menu, I checked) and they said that I couldnt before 12, even though they had no other option for me which I feel is such poor service because they couldnt accommodate me based on their breakfast menu. They didnt have plant based margarine so I got dry toast with dry mushrooms and a processed tomato smoor as a makeshift meal.I left there feeling incredibly hungry (especially because I am a breastfeeding mother and I need to eat a proper breakfast to sustain myself) and was disappointed with the service as Spier prides itself on their organic plant to table food but they cant offer one decent vegan breakfast option.I love food and Ive always been an avid supporter of the local wine farms, and Ive visited the winery multiple times, as well as attended events such as the light art show, I was very disappointed in the service I received from Spier restaurant. Please treat your vegan clientele better @spier because you will definitely lose out on a very good passionate client base of you continue on this wayPs, they got two orders wrong as well which was frustrating because we were the only group in the restaurant at the time. I really wouldnt recommend going to the restaurant.

Went with my girlfriend to Spier restaurant for afternoon cake and coffee. The cakes were R75 a slice and we naturally expected the quality with the price... Cheese and chocolate cake weve got were completely dry and probably few days old !!! Cheesecake didnt taste like anything, the only flavoursome thing on it was 1/4 of fresh strawberry. I am sure alcohol ban has significantly decreased visits to the winery, but serving such almost-expired cakes definitely is not way to attract customers. Spier please do something about it!

We booked, but our names were not in the book. We had to wait around to be seated as the lady had other important things to sort out. Luckily tables were available. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We will return.

We booked for a table for dinner only to be told that they cannot find our names on the list. A person by the name of Eugene insinuated that we never made the booking because he would have answered the phone and he knows that they were fully booked and would have never taken our booking. I dont know whether we were black or what. That time we went to the restaurant hungry and looking forward to our meal. The guy was very condensending and did not have interest in resolving issue. It was very disappointing to get such service in such a beautiful establishment.

I have visted three times , but the waiters either ignores us with my girl or they just take their time to attend to us...had to wait too long just to place an order and too long to receive the meal...am not going again anytime soon environment is cool but service is poor .

Very pleasant experience! Multiple delicious plant-based / vegan options on the menu. Superfriendly staff and great wine. We did not stay at the hotel but would definitely consider it next time. The lobby alone is worth going. Beautiful with modern art and a relaxed atmosphere.

A great place toLinger and indulge yourself with culinary delights.You are also welcome here with small children and the service is definitely unrivaled. The corona hygiene measures are observed in a very disciplined manner and due to the size of the area, keeping your distance is completely unproblematic.

Great hotel, with great rooms and great wine from their own vineyards. The breakfast offers a wide variety, the dinner in the hotel restaurant was ok, but a typical hotel restaurant with no wow effect when eating, the friendliness of the staff in the restaurant was rather average. Otherwise great.
