A wonderful, authentic restaurant situated in the quieter part of Stellenbosch. Their wood fired pizzas are exceptionally delicious. Medium thickness base, generous toppings, variety of choose and the option to opt for half-half at no additional charge.

They have some really good wood fired pizza! Worth both the hype and price. Id like to try James Brown but in a Nachos format 😅

One can feel the potential of this place, but it seems to be operating in neutral at the moment. It was certainly not busy when we visited, but service was erratic and slow. One knife still had the remnants of the previous guests food on it... Of the 5 of us who ate, only one was 5-star happy with his vegan pizza. My pasta dish was acceptable but nothing to write a review about. The gnocchi wasnt brilliant but tasty, though insufficient in quantity. The lasagna was not memorable and the requested hybrid prawn ravioli & spaghetti do mare was not good at all. It seems they are good at pizzas...overall its a meh rating. But as I said, one feels they are normally better. Maybe covid - fatigue is the culprit...

I have visited this restaurant many times and I really cannot understand why it is not more popular than it is. I have seen some really popular times, but the food and drinks menus are both really good and I have yet to be disappointed. Service has also always been good. Could sometimes be faster but that is all. Could be I got lucky every time, but the law of averages says it is a norm.

Tried out Piza E Vino for the first time last night.Sitting a little way outside of Stellenbosch Town centre, in a small mall type shopping centre. We did not have any trouble finding parking this specific night as there was enough open parking spots.The restaurant itself is beautiful, with wine and cellar type decorations. There is enough seating on the inside as well as the outside. As it was a bit rainy, we sat inside the restaurant.Menu is quite good with a range of different gourmet pizzas and pastas. Prices are in the mid to expensive range, but that is understandable for gourmet type food.I gave their newest addition to the menu a try, called the Dirty Mac and Cheese, paired with a glass of Alexander Fontein Cabernet Sauvigon. This is an amazing dish!! Best Mac and Cheese that I have tried in a long time. The Cabernet Sauvigon is very good, so that I am going to see if I can order a case online.Service is also very good, although we had to wait a bit to get our bill at the end.The only thing that was a bit off putting was the amount of noise inside the restaurant. Not sure if it was the way that the building was echoing all the talking, but you could not quite have a talk with the person across the table from you. Then there was the occasional crash of cutlery from the kitchen side. I think it may be best to visit if they are not to busy or take a table on the outside of the venue.Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Stellenbosch area.

Piza-e-Vino has a chilled atmosphere with good background music. The pizzas are great and come in medium or large and they also offer gluten free base (only available in large). The staff are friendly and accommodating. A 500ml still water costs R22, which I find excessive, but all restaurants seem to be taking advantage of the water shortage in this regard. Other than that, a great experience!

Very good pizza and lovely atmosphere. Perhaps a friendlier approach at the door. Welcome people in and seat them. Youre a restaurant after all and not an info desk. What can I help with isnt the appropriate way to invite someone to sit down for dinner. (No disrespect.)

Food was great. The pizza was excellent. Where the bus was missed, I had to wait 50min for my Pizza.When ordering a milkshake expect a half glass of milk shake, apparently the sizes shrunk during lock down... Overall the standards pre lockdown was higher. Still a great place to get an excellent Pizza.

The place itself is so warm and inviting and the food is always incredible. With friendly staff and quick service, this is definitely a favorite!

We visited the Piza ē Vino-restaurant in Stellenbosch on 30 August 2020.1. When asking the waiter outside whether we could build our own pizza, she said yes but wasnt able to tell us the cost per extra added item. It is only visible in the system, she said. What?2. Inside we ordered Durbanville Hills Merlot. The waiter later returned telling us it wasnt available - so we ordered another wine. Much later he did return with the bottle of Durbanville Hills we originally ordered. That man over there didnt check properly, he said. Well, okay then.Later we ordered two beef burgers. It was indeed very tasty but there was a problem. Oh, goodness!3. The side piece of the tomato wasnt supposed to be in the burger, was it?4. The menu said a seeded bun. It was not. Ai.5. The potato chips? It was unforgivingly dry and hard! Agge nee, man.6. When we eventially got the bill, the wine was R55 overpriced. Wow.There you have it.

Delicious pizza in a unique setting

Very good pizza. I really enjoyed the pizza here. The atmosphere is also very nice, helped by the decor. Cant really describe the style, but the restaurant feels a lot more intimate than most that are in a Centre, especially if you sit inside. We were very satisfied with the service here, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Inviting looking place but walk on past please. The pasta that we were served looked and tasted as if it had been cooked a few hours earlier then warmed up and the sauce chucked on. My pasta sauce was unappealing. The combination was just sad. One if the table ordered a pizza which looked OK. The service was a bit chaotic. It took ages to get served and then they just swamped us trying to explain that they had run out of one brand of beer. Weird.

Visited the restaurant for dinner in a Friday night which I know is always fairly busy. We waited extra long for our food, though- around 50 minutes. Some of the other customers took this out on the waiters, but I would say it is a fault of management - the shop could have done with three times the waiters they had on the floor.The menu is reasonable, the prices as expected and the atmosphere is good, but unfortunately the service was not beneficial to the overall experience. Some room for improvement, but I will be back to see how it goes on a random week night.

The pizza was very disappointing. Service was very poor. Waited for almost more than a hour for our pizza and waiter never came to check up on us.

Really lovely for families on a hot summer day as the water feature keeps the young ones entertained and cool -- remember the sun screen!All the food we had was delicious. There was a free wine tasting (although I doubt this is a regular thing) and the staff were extremely efficient and welcoming.

Bad service once again. We ordered a large pizza and upsized to an X large on their Thursday special. We were quite a big group and everyone received their pizzas before us. We were then informed that they made a mistake with ours and made a medium pizza instead of the X Large that we ordered.This was the fourth time that we have received bad service from this branch.

We frequented Piza-e-Vino as a large group. The general opinion: it is a good restaurant for an average lunch. The menu is not extensive, and the prices are on par.The waitering service is bland and deeply unmotivated. The food seemed cheaply made.Its a good place to stop for lunch, however there are many better restaurants in the mall. I will not be returning.
