Lovely venue, good menu, not the usual. Food enhanced with brilliant sauces, my favourite the rib eye steak medium rare with the butter sauce. The calamari starter made to order, very tasty. Well worth visiting

I recently hosted a family event at the Social Grill for about 25 guests. Michelle (manager) was absolutely amazing throughout the whole booking process and she suggested their Souvla which was absolutely perfect for the amount of guests. It is a really awesome spot with a relaxed family vibe and on weekends they have live music as the entertainment. Im definitely coming back!

Absolutely amazing venue and the food is wonderful.

The setting is just beautiful. There is a warm rustic feel of the place, it promotes casual conversations and a lekker chilled vibe similar to a family embrace.As you walk in you are greeted by a lovely arouma of great food, and youre not let down by the food. The food is very tasty. From the starters to the desserts. The portion sizes are also very generous.The staff are sharp to assist you and make sure you having a good time all the time. They provide you with heaters so no matter how cold it is the Restuarant keeps its warmth.We were assisted by Michelle who organised us a dedicated area to host our guests and the guests we left extremely full and more importantly happy.This place is a hidden gem worth visiting.

We recently hosted a Movie Night/Workshop for our youth theatre in the stunning event venue at The Social Grill. It was a fantastic evening! The staff were delightful and eager to assist with any request, the venue had a fantastic sound system and projector that worked wonderfully. The food was so delicious we even ordered extra to take home! Thank you The Social Grill for helping us create an unforgettable evening!

A brilliant restaurant! The food and drinks at Social Grill never disappoint. The Pizza Bombs are a hit and all the cocktails are reflective of their respective price points. The menu might seem a bit pricey but the quality of food and great service reflects in the price and thus is never a disappointment. The atmosphere is wonderful and outside is very aesthetic with the overhead lights. The Social Grill is a must visit when in the area, bookings are essential!

Just an awesome place, a real hidden gem, lovely setting, very good service and one of the best pizzas Ive had in a very long time. Also the perfect place to go for a drink or two and just to take a load off, well worth a visit.

Culinary paradise for trainspotters. Filled with knickknacks and vintage wrecks, its a pretty atmospheric spot for dinner. They are still working on the final touches, but I think they have a grand future ahead.The food is good. The pork belly and mash was expertly prepared and the flavours worked well.Unfortunately, our initial excitement was dampened by a series of incongruencies that dont belong in a establishment operating at their price-point.The rump steak, cooked perfectly to order, was let down by the Stella Biltong Jalapeno sauce-thing slopped over it. It certainly looked the part, but the sauce had no discernable depth in flavour and the accompanying potato wedges were basically an overwhelming crust of salt around a nicely fluffy potato center. It wasnt quite to my taste, but I can list a bunch of my salt-addicted mates who would love it.Our starters took over 40 minutes to arrive although I could smell the Pizza Bombs from the kitchen for at least 15 minutes before our waiter finally showed up and we could ask him if it was ready. The fact that the bombs and the steak strips were getting cold by the time it arrived means it was probably a service problem and not a kitchen problem. The main course only took 20 minutes to reach our table.All the staff are incredibly friendly but communication is a bit lacking. By the time most of the restaurant had cleared out and plenty of staff were standing around having a chat, we asked three different waiters for our bill because we couldnt find the gent who served us. When our actual waiter finaly showed up 15 minutes later, he still didnt know we had asked for the bill.I should be giving them 3 stars instead of 4, but I think our issues were isolated, and a bit of training will make this joint great.

Honestly had one of the most amazing days out in a long time at The Social Grill! I cant fault them on a single thing. We arrived on valentines day without a booking, they made a plan for us and got us a table. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the food... THE FOOD! Where do I begin, best vegetarian pizza I have ever had, the roasted carrots and butternut sides were irresistible, the falafel was perfection and their gin jar cocktail was out of this world (and I dont even like gin that much!)... all this combined with amazing live music made for the perfect atmosphere. Will 100% visit again.

First time visiting Social Grill. Will NOT be the last. What a fantastic find. We went with friends who know Ralph the singer. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food well....amazing. Service was impeccable and the cocktails are some of the best we have had anywhere. These owners really know their stuff. We has the Souvla special. Please give it a try you wont be disappointed. We will definitely be back with another group. One to add to the list.

We stumbled apon the Social Grill restaurant one morning and decided to have breakfast there today. The interesting decor lures you to explore some more. Invited inside by friendly staff a cozy fireplace. The breakfast was really great and cooked to perfection. The manager/Sous Chef came to talk to us a bit. He made us feel right at home. We ended off with a really great cuppachino. On Sundays they have a Souvla Braai which sounds really nice.

Excellent atmosphere, amazing food and such a great waiter. Youll certainly see us again.

An amazing ambiance at night, great service. Amazing food, a jaw dropping variety of drinks, and everything is very well priced. I planned a birthday party at Social Grill but was so impressed that I will definitely go back simply to have a drink.The aesthetic is that of a mixture of quaint decorations that meets the modern world very well with some industrial design here and there. It is a well designed ensemble for all eras with a bit of old culture thrown in. But the vibe is great for young adults 25-35 years of age but is also inclusive of older generations.The manager there Michelle is very kind and accommodating and our waitress Linda is the best Ive ever seen! When ever I turned my back for another drink or meal she was there. No irritating checking or lack of presence. She was perfect.As a smoker its also rare to find a place that does t shove you in a poorly ventilated box. I applaud the owners and management for what theyve accomplished here.

Usually while driving kept seeing their sign on the road. Got to contact with them and had delivery. The order placing was effortless and the delivery was perhaps one of the fastest I’ve had in many years.The food is beyond phenomenal. Since I saw the menu, the calamari chorizo starter drew my attention. Their calamari is BY FAR the best calamari I’ve had in South Africa and their pepperoni pizza feels like a homemade pizza that was done by a gourmet chef. The dough is thin and crispy, pepperoni of the best quality, great mozzarella and a touch of oregano.It’s my first order with them and certainly will not be the last

Vibes are mixed but immaculate. The high note of the lady that sang in one of the djs mixes made me ascend into the 6th dimension. Would recommend the bucket for a group of friends or even an individual, depending on how stressful the day was. Pizza is bomb. The oreo madness dessert is strictly only for madlads. The strawberries on the side were exquisite.The ice served with the coconut mojito was extra crönchy. Would come back and grill socially any day.

The most unprofessional, lazy and cowardly management. The manager, Joe, treats artists performing there with immense disrespect by having lousy communication skills and being an overall rude human being. Food quality is nothing above average and overpriced considering what you get. Highly do not recommend going here as there are many better places to go to.
