Had dinner at this establishment lastnight and was very impressed with the service. We were served complimentary bread rolls. I didnt know what to order and the waiter asked if he could create a platter for us, I agreed and was surprised with ribs, chicken wings, chips and veggies. The portion size was great and I had ribs for breakfast and lunch today

Im gonna start by saying, the view is absolutely beautiful. So the price of the food makes sense, cos youre also paying for the view. Ive had not so good experiences with seafood pasta, but I gave it a try and it was the best I have ever had. Perfect spice, sauce, presentation, everything njhe. The 4 star is for the ribs not falling off the bone, but overall this restaurant has won my heart. Bravo👏👏👏

He interacts with everyone and its quite a big space . The view of of Pretoria city and the lights were stunning. And the food is really good and authentic. Service is excellent

This is a very nice Italian restaurant with all the best pizzas and pastas. For the not so loving fan of that, there is also a whole section with all the best cuts of steak. The food was good and the staff very friendly. The owner even came around to check if everything was in order. Would definitely recommend!

Forti Grill & Bar was truly a splendid experience! The service was superb and very professional. The food was top notch and portion sizes were perfect. Dessert was just as amazing. Overall 10/10! The atmosphere was fantastic and compliments to the chef, manager and staff. Definitely worth it, with a wonderful view. We will be back soon! I would recommend it to anyone, especially for special occasions.

What a gem of a place. Had the lobster soup and champagne and I went back for seconds. The staff are super professional, my glass was never empty, table always clear, Catz and Geoffrey took excellent care of us and I am grateful. A definite fave.

Would not recommend. I called them the morning to book a table explaining that I was asking my girlfriend to get married that day and would like to celebrate at their restaurant. When we got there it was obvious that they did not know about our booking and very little effort was made from their side to make the night feel special. We saw our waiter only twice (When we were seated and when he brought us the bill). We were repeatable told to give our orders immediately because the kitchen closes at 20h00 (We got there at 18h00). The food was average at best and the bill was steep

I have to say wow😍👌👌😍. Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the view, the staff👌. Also got to see Mr Forti himself😍. Its a great place to have a laid back evening or afternoon. Most definitely going back again soon

Stunning resturant. On point with everything. Great Service and the food was out of this world.

Received a bland piece of steak. Absolutely no seasoning was added not even salt & pepper. It looked like it was boiled and thrown in the plate. After apologies from management and sending it back I received another piece that didn’t look or taste much better. No one did any quality control. I’ve been there before and enjoyed it very much, it might have just been an off day. However I won’t be back to find out.

This Spot is totally off the charts. There are few restaurants equalling this standard in the Area.Highly efficient staff. Superb cigar selection. Wide selection of food choices.Bathroom facilities on premises. Outside and inside seating choices, although I must say the outside seating space does not complement the internal ambience.

Located on top of the Times Square Casino, this restaurant has a beautiful view especially if your are seated on the deck over looking the streets. The service we got was extremely friendly, our food order came quickly and tasted quite good. A must try

Wow! What fine dining! An incredible menu that caters for everyone from vegans to full on meat lovers and everything in between! Amazing Springbok carpaccio and the signature Ritrovo fillet was done to perfection.

Forti Grill and Bar. Wow oh wow. I had my 30th birthday celebration on the 30th of October 2020. They exceeded my expectations. The food, the ambiance. Soo much class. The staff are polite, sweet and calm, patient and amazing. The exclusive performances were out of this world, first class and I just loved it. Residing in Polokwane, Limpopo currently but I know now where I want to dine when in Pretoria. Thank you Forti, for my Friday evening was wonderful.

Wow! My partner and i both love pasta. Coming to Forti, we had high expectations. We werent disappointed in the slightest: it was the best pastas weve ever had! What we expected to be a simple night with good pasta, turned into a night of fine foods and excellent service! I highly recommend!

My sister and I had lunch at Forti Grill and Bar today and although the setting and view are beautiful, the quality of the food was way below par. My sister ordered lamb chops and I ordered the rump. The meat was tasteless and very tough, the waiters did the bare minimum and we thought the prices were cheeky considering the quality of the food. A good view is great but essentially the worth of a restaurant comes down to standard of the food.

Five star hands down. Celebrated our Sons 18th in their Private Wine Cellar... Wow wow wow!

Beautiful place but the dishes are not so tasty ordered a lasagna it tasted more like tomato. Could taste the meat not so delicious. The oxtail tasted good.

The food here is literally to die for! The food is great, and the aesthetics of the restaurant is warm and inviting. Forti is always carefully watching over everything and can often be seen coming across to tables to check that the patrons are happy with their meals. Their bread is an old family recipe that has been in their family for years (this is just the bread you snack on at the table - yummy!). One of my favorite dishes is their signature dish, it is a pasta stuffed with mince and spinach, served in a delicious sauce. Trust me if you order that, you will be thanking me for the recommendation. If you looking for an elegant up class restaurant that is still warmAnd welcoming, then this is the place to be.

Horrible experience. Overpriced establishment. It was my first time there and I thought for the 5 star prices wed get amazing food and amazing service. Your usual restaurants like mythos and cappuccinos are better with better service and cost much much less. Dont even know who my waiter was, he didnt introduce himself. He couldnt suggest any meals or pair with drinks. The duck was a huge disappointment. I mean R300 for duck and I couldnt even eat half of the plate. The table was not clean when we were seated. He had to clean it as we sat. Really ruined our night and sadly our money. I noticed a cheap horrible wine thats R50 at stores was being sold at R250 here, seriously! Definitely not going back there again, and makes me doubt fine dining in SA.

The waiters are so racist and rude. They gave us a table and then very rudely told us to move and started mocking and laughing at us. I don’t understand how you can treat customers like that.

Best food Ive ever had, I would recommend doing a full 3 course meal here. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. They have a huge selection of wines. Many good specials.

Service was horrible. We had 3 waiters who were all not attentive. Our table was dirty and the waiters seem to not care. The starter bread arrived 30 minutes late and was super cold. My wife asked for their pasta recommendation and what she got was dry pasta swimming in tasteless tomato. I ordered wagyu steak which tasted nothing like the R490 I payed. I wouldnt recommend this establishment to anyone.

Good food and personalized service. Great views of Menlyn with covered outside seating areas in the case of a drizzle. Quite a formal atmosphere with artwork for sale inside the restaurant.Pricing is a bit more on the expensive side but the food is well prepared and visually pleasing.

I cannot get over the level of service ,the delicious food, the music.. it felt like we were in Italy -Give me Godfather meal anyday and thank you for the warm host Malome Elvis :)

The restaurant has a gorgeous setup with some lovely pieces of artwork, which are on sale, their attention to detail in their decor is impeccable. Theres a pleasant little deli area, a wide variety of wines and a delicious selection of fresh seafood. They stock Luderitz Oysters, which in my option are some of the best that money can buy. Their mussels were so fresh that it seemed like they were just pulled out of the ocean. We tried a few of their pasta dishes and each one delivered in terms of flavour. The chef is exceptionally attentive and made my visit even more special, I wanted a pasta dish with truffle however they didnt have such a dish on the menu, he then proceeded to make up a dish especially for me. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out.

We had a corporate meal for Christmas, the package was beyond expectation. The starters had a broad selection of tasty plates that I should have eaten more of. The main was solid meat of different cuts and desserts gave selection of 5 desserts per person of luxury sweets. This restaurant should be part of any persons eating experience.

(which I wouldve been fine with and understood if he didnt take ages to come and make sure it was then cleaned after sitting us down).Secondly, I never! And neither did my wife for one second show any arrogance towards anyone there. So you are simply commenting on something you are ill informed about that is going on in your establishment.Third, trying to insult me by saying one needs to be used to 5 star service in order to receive it is highly inappropriate and unprofessional and tells a lot about you rather than me, I have worked in the industry for over a decade and have been on both end, and therefore I know exactly what star service and fine dinning should be.I am shocked that all the reviews are 5 stars actually. My experience was the complete opposite but I went there especially because they had mostly good reviews.First of, when we arrived, we sat at a table that had to still be cleaned. (the waiter that sat us down did not notice and so it was only wiped when our waiter came to serve us).The waiter was nice but I would not say up to par with the service considering the pricing because when I asked for his recommendation or anything, he seemed to just simply choose the more expensive items on the menu, and I did take his recommendations because I wanted to experience this 5 ⭐ experience that everyone seems to be talking about. But the food flavor was disapointing to say the least, I literally had the same dish cooked the exact same way the day before at half the price from another restaurant.So to make it short, the service was not up to par, neither was the flavor of the food, I have had burgers that tasted better than my steak elsewhere.Either I got a different service from all the reviews or they have all just been in mediocre restaurants before this one and so, this happens to be the best experience for them. But it was not worth it at all.I even left much earlier than I planned because of how annoying it was.The only thing that truly separates this place from others is the price. Even the embience was very casual and I felt like I was at a pub at some point.

Pleasant atmosphere and ambience. Food is tasty and well prepared and definitely worth the money spent. The Parma ham starter is well worth trying and the desserts are to die for.Special mention has to be made regarding the wine paring and the choice to order a wide variety of different wines by the glass to enjoy with each course.

There is no arguing that the food is amazing - it felt like fireworks were going off in my mouth and with each taste I experienced a different flavour. It is also great to see the owner so passionate and proud of his establishment, as he should be. Unfortunately, our customer experience was tainted with the feeling of being ostracized for some reason, both by the waiter and the manager, to the point of feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed.
