We went there in the evening for my birthday ! The staff there are so kind and helpful. They really made the day amazing. Ive been there so many times and its honestly become a hang out for me and my friends. 😁 Its also a lot of fun practicing Italian with some of the staff 😂 🇮🇹 Cool restaurant!

Just brilliant! Authentic Italian pasta dishes like nowhere else. A real gem, loved the Italian beer too. A quaint, distinctive place that has a great authentic feel, nice service and setting only adds to ones enjoyment of the food and experience.

So it is really expensive... and to make it worse when I got my overpriced martini it was halve full. I asked the waiter where is the rest and he just laughed at me. Food is like R100 plus for a stupid pizza. Gonna take 2 sips, finish my drink and eat somewhere else. Awful unless you are ridiculously rich with no brains!

Had a great pasta dish. Was there to catch up with a friend, food was great. Bread basket was excellent. Fairly busy with only 1 waiter. The poor girl was barely coping. Not fair owners!

Small portion of food for a large price, the ravioli just covered the bottom of the plate in a single layer for R115.00. Taste was great, but very, very small portion. What a pity.

This is truly a gem and lived up to everything we heard about it before. All the dishes are freshly prepared so one does wait a bit longer than normal but it makes for good conversation time and the wait is well worth it.The various pasta dishes are superbly tasty and very specially prepared. The waitron was responsive to requests and were able to inform us on some wines on the menu to go with the food.The deserts are exceptional.You pay a bit more but it is well worth a visit.

First time I ate here I had the best time. Food was great, the staff were friendly, the service was quick and overall I really enjoyed the experience.Second time around, after really hyping the place up for people, the experience was the opposite. We were juggled between 4 different waiters for 15 minutes. We had no idea who our designated waiter was anymore. We also had to ask for menus after waiting and being ignored for 20 minutes. The waiter was so focused on a 10 top table that we were totally neglected.Unfortunately after that we havent really wanted to dine there anymore. Sorry guys.

Delicious. Enjoyed the ambient environment with calming music. Positive attitude from the staff with Mr. Paris confirming that everyone had their correct order. They had much patience with us as we sought difference in the various ravioli. Did try their desert but it sure must be great if the main course is anything to go by.

Used to enjoy this restaurant so much but the service and quality of food has definitely gone down a few notches!A special thanks to the waitress with short bleached hair for totally ruining our Sunday lunch yesterday ... one simple request...please don’t put Parmesan on our pasta! Plate arrived with Parmesan and the pasta was drowning in oil!!! Some of us are Vegan which means we don’t eat cheese so when we ask for one simple request please assist and drop the attitude...That was the last visit from us!Jay

Amazing food! It was really a treat going to Alfies. Good portions, but a bit pricey. The cost can however be justified by the ambiance and the quality of the food and service. I would suggest that you make a booking on peak nights because I suspect that it can get very busy

Food was better tonight than previous 2 occasions. Service was terrible! Topped with a total dont care attitude from the waiter. The waitress tried. Blame management... 2 staff on a super busy night. Wont go there again. Business owners seem to forget that we can chose where we want to spend our money

Waiters ran all the time, because there were only two of them. Food is delicious, but very expensive. Not a wide variety of drinks available. Imported soft drinks cost double the normal price with more or less the same taste. Starters are far more pricey than it should be, especially for the quantities of the servings. Suppose it is linked to the suburb where it is situated. Very busy on Saturdays. Be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Service not up to scratch, because not enough waiters. Maybe just temporary, because of waiters not turning up for work, but I didnt get the full answer. Manager was very friendly and helpful. He was also helping the waiters. No milkshakes are served here.

I just phoned to make a reservation and I am shocked at the unhelful lady answering the phone. It really felt like she was discouraging me from making a reservation. First she wasnt sure whether there was space, then the kitchen closes between 3 and 6pm (ridiculous). I will definitely not go there and will not recommend this place to anyone. Shocking.

The best pasta in town. I would recomend their seafood pasta. The linguini was tasty and perfect al dente. The shrimp was so soft and the taste was the best. We enjoyed the friendly and tranquil atmosfeer. Well done 10 out of 10

One of the best places for Italian food. This small cosy restaurant has a European atmosphere and very good authentic Italian food. Besides the menu there are always delicious specials on the board. My favorite is the Ravioli. Chef Alfredo (Alfie) and his wife Christina are very hospitable and friendly people who make you feel ver welcome.
