The prawn starter and the sushi is amazing. Great food and fresh. The chairs outside were a little dirty with food. Please ensure they are clean before customers are seated there but all around great place and good service. Will definitely be back soon.

Seafood lovers will not want to give Ocean Basket a miss with franchises in centres all over the country. Generous portions are great value. Getting through our platter “for two” was a mammoth task

Absolutely amazing. Stunning customer service, amazing and kind waiters, and the food is excellent. Milkshakes are also very well made. Most definitely recommend for when you go to Ushaka.

I always enjoy my visit to this place... Ocean Basket at uShaka is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE restaurants by far... Great Vibe, The food is spectacularly delicious and the service I get is immaculate ( @Steven )... They also make killer garlic mussels and the sauce is to die for, even order it separately... its worth the try... Note to OB Management: some of us really enjoyed the Garlic Rolls you guys used to offer... Please bring that back... it was amazing... Oh and the smoking section was also such an awesome chill zone, I hate having to walk to a designated smoking section outside the restaurant to have a smoke, especially if I am not finished ordering or after the first course... we smokers are funny like that... It can be a deal breaker, but Thank you ALL for maintaining your standards and retaining customers like me...(sssshhhh... not like MOYOs...)

Was very disappointed with their starter rolls which was like rubber. I always look forward to their fresh soft rolls. The milk shake had a weird taste. Otherwise service was great

Always a pleasure to visit Ocean Basket. The fish is always fresh with their food generally tasting good across all of their franchises. Though I personally feel that the complementary bread/buns that they serve, need to be revisited because this is a common theme amongst all the Ocean Basket restaurants I have visited. The buns at this particular restaurant were salty and dry...Overall the service was excellent and the fish to die for.

Their drinks are really nice especially the orange blossom one.. Very tasty! I had some prawns which were also very very delicious.

This is the best seafood place in Durban. We have been going here since inception and the food is still the greatest and the staff are world class. Never ever disappointed with Ocean Basket Ushaka Branch keep it up Team.

We popped in for lunch Inbetween our aquarium visit. Dolly was our waitress, and she did a fantastic job. The starter rolls werent great but our food was fast and delicious, Thank you!

Best ocean basket in durban

For lunch today we had the platter for 2 and it was delicious! The complimentary bread thats made instore is fresh and tasty! I would recommend this restaurant for sure!!!

We only went for coffee but the food looked so good we had a couple of starters that were excellent plus we shared a pudding which was good too

The worst ocean basket Ive ever been to. We ordered one of their Platters and it tasted like everything was fried in burnt oil their passion & fruit cordial drink was the worst

Lacking with service but food quality is beyond expectations. Besides waiting patiently and trying wave down a waiter, the seafood was amongst the freshest and tastiest I have ever had in Durban. Its a shame the service was not on par.

The coast is less than 0.5 km, yet the fish isnt fresh

It is hard to review a place like Ocean Basket because it is very much a case of seen one you seen them all.So I will review the staff who were very friendly and the cleanliness which was good.The veneer is not great being on a very busy promenade and the air-conditioner mangaged by the center meant it was Hot.Is was a very acceptable dining experience.

Excellent menu .affordable prices. Fresh tasty. 10/10 service. Will definitely be back again.

I loved the service. A friendly Mananger and welcoming. It now going to be my new home away from home.

The Fish & Calamari Option was good, however I was abit disappointed with the fish being flavorless, I had to add abit of salt to it. What was also disappointing was that specific dish does not come with that famous Ocean Basket Yellow cheese sauce on the rice, it only comes if you order a dish with prawns, to get the sauce on the side is a ridiculous R30 extra!. The Cheesy Garlic bread is heaven as always, absolutely delicious, please make sure you order it as a starter or with your meal, you will definitely enjoy it, I can guarantee it! However it was a great meal all together!

Peaceful atmosphere with great food and service.

Food and staff were terrible. We asked for grilled fish but it came back burnt. Also waitress mixed up our orders and drinks where diluted with water

The food at Ocean Basket is always amazing, however I was disappointed that they removed the garlic roll of the menu, my decision to eat there was based on the garlic roll. I sat down ordered drinks and then was devastated by the news. Please management rethink your decision.

I normally come to this place but today my experience is awful. Im actually typing this while eating. Firstly someone sat me down and I was unattended for over 10 minutes when the waitron finally showed up I placed my order cause I know what I want but guess what he got my order all wrong. I wanted maki avo as a take away and to eat I wanted seafood platter for 1 . When my food came some trainee person delivered as we speak I dont know whose my waitress or waitron.

Had great service from Unzuzu (possibly not how to spell his name so apologies!!!). He was so sweet & was very honest about what dishes he thought were worth the money or not! Pretty good food & the shared strawberry daquiri was great after a day in the ocean!

Amazeballs is basically prison food, rice with almost no cheese. On kids menu dont buy it.

Service was very poor and the waiter was just nonchalant about everything. The venue was not full yet the service was slow and food underwhelming. We waited long periods for our waiter and were left with no drinks. When we finished our main meal, he just brought our bill without asking or offering us dessert 🙁

The quality of the food is not on the same level of most other Ocean baskets. The kids area is old and lacks entertainment for the kids. The waiters where kind and made sure we where served on time.

The food was very nice @26/05/2018 (18h17), but the waiter was very rude because I gave him a gratuity fee of R25, he rejected it and walked away, I then called another waiter to go give it to him... Im never dining at the Ushaka Ocean Basket ever again!
