Most probably the best food I ever had at a Spur.... Maybe send that chef to all other Spurs in SA to train them.... Excellent service as well...

I was there last Saturday, together with my Friends and we really enjoyed the meal. My gratitude goes to Waitress Karabo who gave us 5 star treatment. Keep it up by keeping the flag of quality service by implementing client first principle Karabo.

Quarter chicken was undercooked and still had blood. Your pork smelled rotten too.

Been here a couple of times. Service a bit slow when its full. Otherwise great place to come, great waiters.

We ordered food from spur Illinois and to our disappointment we received not at all what we are use to get at any spur around SA..Now we are standing here asking them for a refund and they want us to wait after a week when uber eats will pay them. WE PAID over R400.00 to uber eats yes -but they dont make the food. And we are hungry and this is what they tell us imagine this lamb chops is R153.90 in this picture, now they gave us the refund for the lamb chops after having to get dress and drive all the way here very disappointing .

What stood out for me was the service I received from my waiter. Otherwise the food was great too. I had their beef burger combo which was good. For dessert I had the Spur Canyon, popcorn caramel which was very tasty. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars for me is because they advertised a certain special on their Facebook page which I went there for only to get there & to be given information to the contrary. Otherwise its a great environment.

Loved there... All COVID-19 protocols were observed and the meals where fantastic... I was very hungry and they just hit the right spot...

Good dayI was at your restaurant on sunday afternoon with my son, i was not happy with the service i received from Pettronella. I didnt enjoy my afternoon at all.

The waiters were very nice and made me feel at home. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves. The food was very tasty, me and my friends ate our desserts there and the malva pudding was fresh and it tasted great. The milkshakes we ordered were also good and were value for money. Genuinely I had a great experience and hope to get that treatment again. Loved it.

I love their veggies side! They have a different serving from all other Spurs for the same price. I always get it. Yum yum!

I really enjoy the steak every time I stop by but waiting time is long. Staff is friendly!

Our waiter ( Pfunzo), she was amazing, very kind, speaks clearly and gives enough information. I have been to a few Spur-s but this one definitely takes the cup.

They could improve their service otherwise the food is great and the staff friendly.Edit: After my review, Spurs response was heartwarming and promptly. They reached out to hear me out and took the matter serious. As a customer I am humbled to know they take our dining experience serious.Going back to the restaurant, the improvement was visible. I am happy to return over and over again :)Thank you Spur.

Perfectly cooked meals. However, can improve with service delivery when it comes to waiting times. But the food really makes up for that wait🤗

I was just waiting impatiently for my ice cream waffles which were nice but didnt have enough syrup, but yeah I asked the waiter when I was half way done, coz yooh, wish I asked for it earlier coz it just brought Heaven on Earth.

The wings are good and the food is generally good but the service is poor. I go there quite often but yesterday our waitress was giving us attitude. Arrived at the restaurant at 17h15 and left at 19h45 for a 2 course meal and we did not stay that long by choice but because of the amount of time we had to wait for our food. After eating our first meal we still had to wait 30 minutes for four waffles and after waiting so long we got them cold with melted ice cream. And not even the full table got them, we still had to wait another 10 for the other two to come. When we complained about the food the night manager made it seem like we waited that long because we asked for it and after explaining that is when she offered us coldrinks. If you are looking for great service I wouldnt recommend it.

Thembi was our waitress and she did a really good job on taking care of me and my sister. Enjoyed the breakfast and her service.

Its a nice place with a nice vibe. My server was a friendly young lady and the food was average taste for an average price. I did have a problem when they accidentally swiped my card for twice the amount that they should have but did give me back my money.

Its in student country. Spurs usual great food. Just very noisy and parking is a challenge. Car guards are a menace.

Spur is a great restaurant with a lot of untapped into potential from a market acquisition stand point. The spur in Hatfield in particular is not offering services tailored to their greatest market, which is University Students.I normally go there for dessert because I have a problematic sweet tooth. I recommend their cheese cake with vanilla ice cream.PS: Be prepared to wait for your food, i.e you will finish about two drinks before your food arrives.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Questionable waiter service. Just small things, I asked that a waiter help us with a doggy bag, as my friend and I couldnt finish our meal. He came back and tossed us with a Styrofoam container. I guess this restaurant advocates a DIY philosophy, I get it. Also, it wouldnt kill the waiters to be nice once in a while.

We arrived early for our appointment in Pretoria where we saw the Spur but was still before their opening time. The friendly staff invited us in before they officially opened for business so we would not stand outside waiting. The service and food was excellent.

The service was bad, there was one waiter serving a lot of tables on his own, forgetting orders, we waited for an hour and when the food came it was cold with very messy presentation. When we arrived we ordered a beer, which didnt come until we even decided to cancel it. We had to go pay the bill at the front desk because the waiter was so busy that he forgot to give us the bill. The manager was very ineffective and the place was short staffed. They really didnt know how to treat customers. I was very disappointed.

Service was terrible. Got bread that has expired and was not taken seriously. Instead the waitor disappeared for more than 20 minutes after telling him about my concerns. The manager didnt even apologise. However, Id like to appreciate Mike who tried to help us.

Terrible service.We sat there for 45 min waiting for the waiter. When I ask the person at the front desk who assigned us a table to ask someone to come and help us, she laughed. The food was also terrible and it took an hour to get the food. The annoying part was the place was empty.In my own opinion spur Hatfield is the worst spur.
