We booked the entire chalet for a family of 18. We had an awesome time. Mike and Nelly were excellent hosts, they met all our individual needs. The accommodation was just as the pictures clean neat and beautiful.Thanks Mike and Nelly we will definitely be joining you guys again.

The place is in the best location. Close to the beach.Booked late, arrived very late after the restaurants were closed and Mike prepared food for us. That was great. I give Mike 10 out of 10 on hospitality.

Awesome weekend at Ambleside. The venue was amazing. Great for a large group / family getaway. Mike and Ozzi were great hosts. Highly recommended. The pool on the premises were there was no need to go to the beach.

Lovely weekend thank you! we were a group of about 18 people. the place was neat, clean and exactly as you see the pictures on the internet. Mike was most helpful. Free WIFI a great bonus. Ideal location, an hour from Durban, close to beach, SPAR, mall as well as other eat out places.

The apartment we stayed in was very fresh and clean and modern. We could bring our doggie along and he loved playing with Ozzy the owners dog. A beautiful tranquil stream runs through the property and various games were available. Great for the whole family.

Relocating to the South Coast and staying at Ambleside again until our belongings arrive. Mike was very helpful and showed us around the town. Would like to buy Ambleside !! Location is supurb. Very quiet and a stones throw from a beautiful beach that our dog loved.

Excellent location with everything needed in the area. Beds are supper comfy. The Tweni beach is very close and clean. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Apartments are spacious and there is a play area for kids with a swimming pool and jacuzzi to relax in.

Thanks to Mike we had a very pleasant stay. Includes great facilities, everything in one place. Very friendly and helpful.

Was greeted by a huge smile and warm handshake from the owner Mike who gave us a tour of this marvellous gem nestled in a tranquil setting. Mike made my son and I feel at home. Its a home away from home. Refreshing fresh bedding, the studio apartment is sparkling clean. Love this place.

This is a lovely place. The only problem is that the places is not sound proof and is only split with a locked door. So you share all you noises of the people next to you!!! Not so nice if they are noisy!!! Except for that very lovely

A pretty picture to look at, beautiful entertainment area, but thats all there is, our accomodation smelt like....., there were restrictions that were not disclosed on the website, if they were we would not have booked there. I however enjoyed my stay I had my family, sisters and nieces with me and that made all the difference. 1 star is for its appearance the other 🌟 is for Nellie

We had the privilege to stay two weeks at this amazing accomodation. 13 of us with 3 very busy children. The accommodation was perfect and clean and well kept. Mike was very accomodating and such a pleasure to deal with. A short walk to the beach. Hearing the rumble of the ocean at night while the world sleeps was absolute bliss. Would recomend this accommodation to any one that wants to get away from the rush and hustle of the city life. Then who could forget the resident dog Ozzy, the most well behaved and proctective pooch i have ever met. Just became our best friend within minutes of arriving. Such a wonderful family getaway. Warm reception and very professional.

The towels were very dry and they used to be white but not anymore as if they dont use sta-soft and no sheets in the bed...But the place is beautiful and spacious just need to change that...

Nice location. Close to the beach. Has a pool and Jacuzzi. You can play netball. The only negative is that you have to share bathrooms.

Excellent location by the beach, clean, entertainment area was a bonus, bbq areas were lit up at night. Husband liked all the sport on t.v. Kids liked the free WiFi. It was just like being at home really !!

I found the place to be different to wat I expected when going on a holiday you go for ur kids to have fun and enjoy all the children we went along with were told to keep quiet at more tyms than normal the children didnt enjoy much there was no noises and no playing no music the owner Mike was pleasant but he was up and down watching what we were doing. The children were dancing in the evening he stopped that said its too loud explained to my sister she signed about noise. Showers were supposed to be 5 minutes each. According to our rules when we entered. The pool opened daily around 8-30/9-00am. And it closed promptly at 7at night no swimming allowed after that!!!!That was not even the worse of it sadly we smelt a sewer from day 2 and the smell got worse! With no feedback from the owner at all.Nellie Mikes wife was great and their son was very friendly playing with the children but even for kids playing cops and robbers it had to be silent so I didnt completely dislike the place but I assumed my kids and their cousins would be able to enjoy instead we had to keep telling them to keep quiet cos they couldnt be very loud in the vacinity!!!Very restricted.Overall a very calm relaxing home! Mike was accomadating.Nellie always helpful. The place is ideal for adults no kids!!!Mike I have read ur response I think u must be honest. With the community and urself.U didnt not explain the smell. The smell was there from morning of day 2 Milly and family could not eat in their apartment as the stench was so bad. There was a sewage pipe in the front room running thru it. My girls are 10 and 12 yrs old my 12 ur old did not swim or run around my 10 yr old has had a tremendous amount of swimming lessons dancing and music did not even take place except for 1 day for approx 5 mins and those were the other kids joining in as well. We tried to have our privacy there but u guys watched us throughout that was very creepy no privacy. I thought its best to put my response lightly but ur response to the review stunk almost as bad as the sewage smell. Sadly I expected an apology to my family and myself as we paid to be there we looked after ur place and we tried to live with the smell we left our beautiful homes where we can shower for 15 + mins and by u 5 mins at a Tym. We were not welcomed and ur response sucks.

Great hospitality

Mike (the owner) is very friendly and gives all the necessary info you may need. The room had ample space and was very clean. The bed was comfy and sheets clean. The only bad thing is there is no dstv, openview hd doesnt do it for me.
