What an unexpected surprise to visit for a glass of wine which turned into coffee and cheesecake and carrot cake… all out of this world by the way.Beautiful gardens on water with huge trees perfect for kids or a walk or a picnic. Great service as well.Morton was doting on us large crowd and nothing was too much effort for him.The wine tasting is done in a beautiful setting with a small amount of goods to buy. Large liquor selection to choose from there and the olive oil is highly recommended.

A lovely spot. The Tex Mex is delicious. If youre having wine try the cheese board. The patatas bravas is delicious. When we arrived there were a handful of people but as it got busier the service levels reduced. A 5 wine tasting went on for far too long. Our server had forgot one persons lunch.

I was quite disappointed with the experience . We arrived with the wine tram so this was our first stop where everyone raves about the breakfast (this is Mexican style) and after deciding we don’t want that for breakfast and just want the tasting we were turned away and told to buy a bottle to drink at the restaurant. Thank you to Molton and Kelvin for accommodating our morning coffee and to the resident Ridgeback for making us smile

We enjoyed a tasty meal of black bean soup, glaucamole and tomato/ onion salsa and a pulled lamb dish with their Estate Reserve red wine. Our waitress was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the various mexican dishes. A very pleasant dining experience.

Noble Hill is about 15 Miles from the centre of Franschhoek in an area called Simondium and we visit every year as we stock the delicious quality wines here in UK carte-du-vin.co.uk.We are here now to stock up for the UK market. Already the tanks are filling, fermentation has started. The process is controlled by the wine maker and changes regularly as each year there are always subtle differences in levels of sugar etc in the fruit. Here in South Africa they have had several lean years due to serious drought conditions which have produced low yields but good quality fruit. This year high quantity and high quality - consequently 2020 will be a year to watch and see how the wines develop.Tasting over we pop to lunch at the Mexican themed restaurant Coscha for lunch.

These people are serious about marketing their wine. The place is impeccable. The surroundings are stunning. The wine tasting facilities are very luxurious; the people are very helpful with tasting. It might be commercial because they want to sell their wines. In my case we just wanted a taste and buy a single bottle but we were treated as special as the next guest. You can have a walk in the vineyards and have a guide through the cave if you fancy.

Fantastic Mexican food with an all day breakfast menu. The wine is really good and the cheesecake is some of the best I’ve had at restaurants. Toddler friendly. Be advised that it is best to make a booking for either the restaurant or the pick nick area. Although, the staff is super friendly and would gladly make a plan to assist you had you not booked. They also provide kiddies pick nick baskets which really are well thought through and value for money.

Gracious hosts with a beautiful estate. The food at Cosecha is delicious and authentic, just like we had in Mexico not long ago! The wine was elegant and inspired, and the tasting both generous and intimate, in a lovely setting. I loved how they wove the history of the vineyard into the literature and the surroundings. Highly recommend, and will definitely return.

Review №52

I am changing the my review to address what were wrong... the omellete consisted of basically onions and garlic/pesto and just tasted bland. The salads consisted of 90% leaves and 10% of other ingredients. The menu is misleading as what is to expect in terms of main ingredients. The service were really slow with not much people around and some of the tables with the stone patterns are not practical. I would not recommend.

Review №53

Amazing setting that is very well thought out. The picnic basket for 2 is incredible value for money with a great blend of Mexican and traditional Cheeses with a fresh warm ciabatta. What made them really shine is though is an incredible 2015 Chardonnay, booking in advance that allowed them to impress us with extras at no charge and above all fantastic staff that bridges the gap between fine dining and a lovely Sunday by the dam.Exceptional.

Very nice estate, but staff seems to be short handed over the Easter weekend with wine and cheeses not being explained at all. Tables at the restaurant are also empty and just serving wine tasting with people at the wine tasting being told there is no place at the restaurant to eat.
