The upgrades to the tasting room and restaurant was a welcome surprise. Excellent food on the terrace

They were very accommodating for the picnic as it was raining so they gave us a table that was private and outside but still covered. The food was amazing and such good value. The staff were also super friendly and made an extra effort for a friends Birthday. Would definitely go back! Their bubbly is also lovely.

Absolutely blissful day of fantastic food and even better wine. Fabulous and friendly service from Murdo, who was brilliant and told us all about the history of the farm, and the wine in our tasting. Glorious and wonderful. Thoroughly recommend the picnic basket and vault tasting. Absolutely the nicest way to spend a day!

Went for a wine tasting followed by a lovely picnic. The food, wine and surroundings where a treat for the senses...well worth the price. I was never a fan of the old Red Table Restaurant, but this new design and theme is a great improvement.

I went to Nederburg today. I was there 17 min before closing to taste 2 wines as I wanted to buy either or, at the gate I was asked where I wanted to go. I told him he said they are closing but will ask he was told no. Nederburg why do you say you close at 4 but you actually close before that. I wasted my time and money to think that I could buy from you. People they make enough sales so dont waste you time going there. You wont see me again. I will never refer someone to goyou.

What a lovely venue! We sat at a table under the trees and looked out over a grassy area where kids can run around and play. There was also a jungle gym. Everybody at the table loved the food and everything really was delicious. The bathrooms were clean and neat and the staff (even the security staff) were very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic estate, the Manor House Restaurant most relaxing with excellent food and wine. Such professional service by all waiters and the Chef Jerry Kennedy is such an amazing host. We will be back!

Wounderful morning of wine tasting and getting to enjoy the beautiful space of the Nederburg property. A open well looked after venue and manicuried grounds. Interior buildings has a lovely gentle mixture of old and new decor. Had a 5 wine tasting. The wines are all very good, with none really standing out personally but still a long line of knowledge and skill showing through them! Ended off with some delicios nachos at the end. Thank you for the social wine and fire morning. A special space to simply enjoy the best of what the Cape has to offer!

I have been a few times. And always had a lovely time. Sadly with Covid things have changed slightly. As before you got a choice from the full wine list now, its R70 for 5 wines from a choice of 10. Which thought all good wines, the wines I would normally have brought were no longer available to taste. Which did leave my partner and I a little disappointed. However as per the normal the service could not be criticized.

So many times I promised myself I have to come here,because Nederburg is like Kellogg’s Corn Flakes a household name!!The tasting room is beautiful with a glass of MCC that was waiting for us on entry!Our wine ambassador was very knowledgable and thus we chose the ice cream and wine pairing(bliss in a hot summer day) and my wife and I shared the 8 cheeses and wine option.It was a taste sensation with sensory explosions taking place on my tastebuds.Loved the quality of ice cream and the variety of goats cheeses(never knew there were so many).I have a fond memory of The Red Table Restaurant on a wedding anniversary in the past ...

Enjoyed a fantastic two hour tasting and cellar tour with Annabjie. A huge kudo to her for creating such a great experience!The tour inspired us to buy a couple of bottles of the 2 Centuries 2013 Cabernet, which was truly special.

Were people of reds so we have known and enjoyed Nederburg wines for a long time. Beautiful blends!We were the first visitors of that day :) Dropped in just from the airport. Lovely lady Annijika (please correct the spelling if wrong!) took us for a tour around the winery, showed the cellar and the production centre. Actually it was a private tour! We were so lucky! She gave a lot of detailed information about the company, wines, grapes, terroir, history, stories behind everyday hard work of the Team. Everything was very interesting and we learnt a lot of new things. The history behind todays success was long (226 years long!), sometimes painful.The Winery and the Team along with the Leaders and the Creators at the top are highly deserve all the World and local rewards and admiration around the Globe!After the informational tour we had a wine tasting. Of course we preferred their reds but it was amazing to taste some of their whites - we ended up with purchasing some bottles for home :)Great wines! Amazing people behind!Keep on shinning brightly!Cheers! :)

Beatiful scenery and buildings. Great overall experience. Wouldve been 5 stars, but my main course had too much fat on the lamb and was difficult to eat. Other than that- I highly recommend a visit here.

The worst experience ever, we arrived and literally waited for 20 min just so the waiter could bring us a winelist, the waiter then proceeds to help people that arrived after us and gives them their winelist and water and takes their wine selections. Will definitely not be coming here again.

Nederburg is one of the best wines, well decorated winning awards. It has been blessed with great talented passionate wine makers. They have excellent quality wines my favourite being the Ingenuity... Italian Red Blend, Ingenuity Sangiovese/Barbera/Nebiolo Blend then the delicious Brewmaster. They have all the ranges of wines to suit taste and wallet. The most local famous being the Nederburg Barone. Service is very good and the place has great history in connection with the Manor House which dates back to 1800.This is place to visit.

Excellent atmosphere, totally delicous well presented and generous portions, l had Venison loin 😋 wine was full of bubbles and such good value for money.Thanks Ivhan your service was great.

They are being advertised as 1 of the 50 things to do with kids for Hot Chocolate tasting. My Daughter was looking forward to this the who day and this wouldve been the highlight of her day just to get there and find they do not do the Hot Chocolate tasting. What a disappointment.

Red Table is one of our favourite restaurants, but they really disappointed today. Extremely slow service..... Starters were bland and disappointing. Then the main dish the steak were over cooked - like charcoal and not tasty at all. We will not visit soon. Really sad about this expensive failure.

An early start for the day, we travelled for an hour plus to arrive at Nederburg Wines, one of the older vineyards in Stellenbosch. For a wine drinker like me, the professionally presented wine tasting session in the impressive ambiance was fantastic. A total of 6 types of wine we tasted, if you ask me to verbalize the tastes and aromas, I have to be honest. I dont know. Still, one thing is certain. I can differentiate between white wine and red wine, well, from the colour. Pretty much a simple thing, I am sure even a non-wine drinker obviously can do that as well. Okay, wine is also ultimately my comfort during weekends to relax prior to tucking into bed.At Nederburg Wines, kicked off with wine tasting, we then toured the huge farm winery to understand a thing or two on wine-making process, returned to the foyer to purchase some wine and before leaving, we walked around the wine plantation to marvel at the beautiful sight of the grape varieties.

Would definitely go back again.Sometime early October:Food = 5 stars.Wine = 5 Stars.Service = -10 000 stars.Our waiter was honestly the worst. She took so long to come to our table. She took almost 30 minutes to get us glasses. A table that arrived after we arrived received their drinks waaaay before we did. Our wine tasting took so long. Really disappointed. Especially since we drove past so many wine estates to this particular one.The food was quick and great but honestly my waiter was the worst. She didnt check on us regularly. I had to walk inside to get most things I needed. I honestly would have ordered some wine for delivery but our waiter never came to our table. Eventually we just went to the front, paid the bill and left. Really disappointing... Really.

I really enjoyed visiting this winery.From it’s rich history to its mind blowing wine cellars and even the wine it’s self, the experience was beautiful. And of course they had a lot of good wine offerings, but my fav was the ‘late white harvest’ which was very very sweet, ‘too sugary’ in the opinion or some wine connoisseurs whom I visited this place with🙄😂 but I loved it anyway. I recommend highly and make sure you get a tour or the cellars when you visit ❗️

What an experience this was! The place has such a homey feel to it and the people there was so helpful. When you arrive at the wine tasting room you receive a glass of sparkeling wine on the house! They have a variety of wine parings and they even have a kiddies option for wine pairing! I will recommend this place to anyone. It was good value for money and they arent skimpy at all! The staff is extremely friendly and well educated and was able to answers all our questions in detail! Thanks for a wonderful time...

Being an old wine farm and now part of Distell I am surprised with the quality of their wines which were usually very much a rather common brand name with a not much to rave about.

Pleasantly surprised. Their range of wines that are not readily available on supermarket shelves are all truly excellent. Good and friendly service and the cellar tour was very informative (especially if you are the only two people who show up for it).The Red Table restaurant has such friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful atmosphere and the food has not disappointed once. By far the best duck main dish I have tasted in all of the Cape winelands.

I live in Cape Town and had never visited Nederberg wine farm. We visited this place at the end of December of 2014 and we were pleasantly surprised with everything. We had a very knowledgeable guide take us for a cellar tour, explaining the history of the place and showing us every angle of the cellars. Was incredibly interesting. Thereafter we did wine tasting, personally presented to us by the same fantastic German woman. What a great time and a good memory.

The meals are delicious and the view and open space is amazing. The old house gives a real sense of history. Dont forget to visit the wine shop afterwards to pick up a bottle of your favourite wine!

After 5 days in wine country my favorite vineyard. They tasting was extensive, unhurried, professional, and they leave the bottle with you so you can read the label.In addition they provided a case for packing my wine bottles, even the ones from somewhere else!Really great customer service.

Every single thing was of the highest quality. They were very comfortable with the two little ones in our company. Highly recommended.

This winery had been awarded some honors and they really worth it. The wine is really excellent. Test set with ice cream is amazing.

Absolutely brilliant wines and a fantastic restaurant. I was there for a winter concert series that made for a spectacular evening. Although an incredibly large farm and very commercial, its wine maker seems to produce high quality drink.

It was great evening with the good company, I cans say that wine was the best. No, I dont think so. And actually, it was quite poor wine tasting evening with the few types of wine. They need to visit Spanish wine houses and to see how Europe is going on. But anyhow, my memories are good about what happened in Paarl. :)

Great quality high cuisine, service is a bit slow but food came in a timely manner. Beautiful view onto the mountains from the tables on the veranda. It is nice for a relaxed lunch.
