We booked online for a guided tour but the reception and office was still closed when we arrived at 10h20. Luckily the gardener let us inside after showing him our tickets. The gardens itself was very nice!. When we left a gentleman arrived and he did offer us a free tour on our next visit. the following week we got 4 complimentary tickets. We re-visited the gardens with family and we got the guided tour as promised. Thank you Jack!

Went camping(no glampers please) hiking and a tour of the gardens. What an experience. The tour gave us a better description of what happened in the biblical days. Nice place for a youth camp or family visit. Had me yorkie with as well. Fun times

We visited Salem as a family over the Easter weekend. Jaco and Beulah and their family were friendly and gave us an excellent guided tour. I learned plenty of things I never knew or had considered before. Worth a visit.

My church hosted an event there this past weekend. The area is beautiful but the on-site management was awfully rude. They were happy to take our booking (and money) but did not know any details of our event and consequently complained from 9am until 4pm about the sound of the music, even when we turned it to the 70 DB they requested. They also threatened to turn the main electricity point off, threatened to blow our speakers, intimated out members and told everyone who would listed how upset they were about the way we parked. When we arrived there, they were no where to be seen to direct guests where to park.We hosted a church service, braai lunch and worship afternoon. The state of the facilities is not great, I am shocked that it is advertised as a welding venue. The tent itself it dusty and dirty with flaps opening everywhere, the place where we were supposed to prep and serve food was dirty and dusty, disgusting. The toilets was dirty with no running water to wash hands and the on-site management didn’t bother to refill the water dispenser that was there to be used for washing hands, that despite us being almost 200 guests.Save yourself the embarrassment and frustration and have your event somewhere else.

Love it. One of our favourite break aways for picnics and walks with the family and friends. Close to Cape Town, Wellington and Paarl. Beautiful quiet surroundings where we go relax and rest in the Lords presence.

A lovely gem just outside of Cape Town.The garden provides a beautiful space to meditate on the Word of God and picnic with the whole family.Psa 1:1-21 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.

Beautiful garden with a beautiful message, along with some adorable wildlife. Hidden away but worth a visit.

What a great place. Walking through the Bible and hearing what God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit works in and through us as humans, is just wow. Beautiful place filled with peace. Jack and his wife are super friendly and guide you through the walk. Great way to teach your kids the bible.
