Very interesting visit. Wide variety of delicatessen and wine on offer. The goats were a treat! The buildings and gardens are immaculate and the views breathtaking. Well worth a visit. Situated next to Spice route.

Fairview farm is delightful and traditional wine farm set near the Cederburg mountain range. The fam itself is a beautiful place for avid gardeners and green fingers growers who love admiring flowers and fauna. The wine cellar is setup to accommodate wine tasting for larger guests or crowds. With knowledgeable hosts and hostesses, this is an absolute must when visiting the farm.

There wasnt a wide selection of dishes from their menu but we ordered a cheese board and it was delicious! Nice wines and beer selection. I gave it a low rating because they no longer accept cash which is unacceptable and discriminatory.

Yesterday we visited @fairviewwineandcheese with the kids.Wife and I had the farmers wine and cheese pairing. 6 wines with cheeses and meats. They also add a glass of MCC at the start and dessert wine at the end. All of this for R60 is well with it.Kids had the sparkling juice and cheese pairing.Some really amazing cheeses and wines. Had to stop at the deli and gets some goats cheese, chorizo and of course a few bottles of wine to take home. Its a definite must visit.

Beautiful place. Goats are very friendly. All their tastings include cheese pairing and very affordable. Please keep it that way. I enjoyed the darling sauvignon blanc the most. Nice shop to buy lots of cheese

Fairview is a must see if you visit the area. On arrival the goats are quite entertaining - pro-tip; dont touch them as your hand will stink and its a mission to get rid of the smell.The restaurant has some incredible food and portion sizes are more than generous.The shop is well stocked with all sorts of preserves and cheeses and some amazing baked goods to take home.

An excellent and must stop wine tasting venue. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We chose to do the wine tasting and cheese pairing which was fantastic, and very well priced. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodate us all the our antics making for a very good customer experience. There is a restaurant, which I need to come back for but Im sure it is of as high of a standard as the wine tasting experience. There is plenty of free parking on gravel which unfortunately is not wheelchair friendly but still accessible with some assistance.

Went for a lovely lunch and wine tasting afterwards. Staff are very welcoming and professional. Wine tasting was great, Kayla knows her products well, service with a smile. Make sure to purchase your fav bottle at the wine tasting station and share it with your friends/family at home or even at a nice picnic.

Wonderful venue. Huge selection of cheeses in the deli. The restaurant looked popular. We had a great picnic on the grass, under the trees. The goats are so cute.

Fairview Estate was amazing! The Goatshed Restuarant has a super atmosphere. Siviwe our waiter was attentive and very efficient in his service. We ordered a cheese platter and carpaccio, which were delicious, well balanced in colour, texture and flavours. These meals were well complemented by the pinotage we ordered. We purchased a variety of super goat cheeses and various bottled products from the shop on the estate too. A day to remember!

Very cute goats at this winery. Huge portions of food in the family-friendly restaurant. Would recommend the burger and the chicken pie. It was flavourful, with huge chunks of white meat and a flakey crust.I wanted to like the wines more but just wasn’t my taste. I never leave the bottle but left nearly half the bottle of the Goats Do Roam white.

Truly exceptional experience! I would be delighted to visit again. Our guide was fun and funny, very knowledgeable and made the whole thing a memory to remember. The wine, cheese and chocolate were all absolutely delightful and we stocked up on plenty more for the rest of our trip.

This place is a bit different to the norm with goats to entertain the emagination of the guests who visit. Kids are usually very entertained by them and there are small interesting things that grabs attention. I saw a squirrel that was very entertaining. The cheese in itself is a great experience and the wine is nothing short.... The restaunt is top not and very popular and the option of a picnic next to the water also gives another angle to the experience. Certainly a must visit spot for anybody.

Most amazing wine farm. Each visit so far has been memorable. The goatshed restaurant is super good in terms of location and food quality. Wine tasting is as good as always..we paid for a 6 wine tasting and got to taste way over 10 wines 🌿 great wine and awesome cheese shop.

The scenery is really beautiful. Although the breakfast menu is a small choice, the food on the plate is more than enough and very tasty. We also loved the fresh orange juice after breakfast.

Its a nice place to visit with your family or friends. Delicious cheese and also an excellent outdoor space. The goats are also really cute!

This place has a bit of everything. The food is exceptional and the vibe is relaxed and calm. You can go for a walk and see the huge verity of cheese and wine. They offer tasting for bith and its free to look around. The award winning cheese and wine is displayed openly and is rather impressive. This is by far the best wine farm in south Africa. There are also rams to view and grass areas for kids to play

Delicious food as always (Their Cappuccinos are perfect). The ambience is so great there, its a perfect outing for a couple or a big group.

We love going to Fairview. Well trained, friendly staff and excellent food and wine. We had Lamb and Lentil soup and the Cheese Platter, with a lovely Merlot.

Really enjoyed the time at this wine farm, went for a tasting on a Sunday.Was busy, but the service was excellent and the wine is top notch (although Im not even a big wine fan) and the cheese as well.Ill definitely recommend everyone to go at least once. There is a restaurant if you dont feel like tastings. Something for the eye, the whole experience.We bought jam and a few sauces at their deli, just looked too good not to buy

So the restaurant is closed on a Monday and Tuesday which is not ideal. Tasting room does not offer alternatives. So that need to be managed better, but what a stunning location

I just love everything about Fairview. I have yet to have a negative experience here. The Goatshed serves the most amazing food (and really decent portions I might add), tasting feels like a family gathering, and then the Deli has really gorgeous cheeses and products.

Great wine and cheese, beautiful garden setting, and the goats are just awesome. My son loved the motorbike sculpture made from recycled farm tools next to the deli entrance.

Most horrible experience ever. The food was overpriced and so bland. Totally not worth the hype. The environment screamed separation and it gave the opposite of a homely feeling. The service was utterly horrible and the waiters were not good at all. Out of all the restaurants in the area this seems to be the worse.

We had a great wine and cheese tasting! The staff had the tasting well organized and timed well. We had six cheeses and six wines plus two bonus glasses. The store had many interesting gifts of conserves and cheeses as well as many other items. We enjoyed it very much!

Never done a wine and cheese tasting before. The lady serving us knew her wines, and stepped out of the set menu, to show me a wine I most likely will like, and she was right. The little deli is well priced if you like fancy cheeses as well. Enjoyable experience if you have an hour to burn.

Fairview is famous for its goat cheese and wine. So they have actual goats that are on display in a goat tower. The deli, wine tasting venue, lush gardens, live goats and restaurant make for an ideal tourist destination. So if you are OK with tourist focussed venues, visit.

Fairview offers incredible views, delicious meals and great cheese and wine tasting. Fun for the whole family as the kids will enjoy the goat tower in the garden, and the adults can indulge in some of south Africas fine wines. The service was great and the staff knew their stuff!

Great place coupled with the Goat Shed (separate review) that provides a very relaxed afternoon. Wine tasting is a must and the farm shop has many local delicacies on offer. Walked away with just the 6 bottles but as we are travelling home to the UK shortly the minimal number seemed prudent... The wine tasting itself is an unrushed experience (thanks Angus) that winds through either traditional or modern wine types (or both...).One word of caution : dont get downwind of the Billy goat on s hot day

The place is beautiful, the shop has many unique products. We took the master tasting. It’s on a private room, you taste 8 wines each one paired with a wonderful cheese. Our sommelier was very nice and very knowledgeable. She also let us try some wine of the list. I will definitely come back.

Doesnt matter if you local or from anywhere in the world, you surely will enjoy the wine&cheese pairing with some insight information on all wines. If you get hungry please do yourself a favor and sit down at The Goatshead Restaurant where you will be in food heaven. We ordered the Duck Liver pate, Smoked Trout sandwich and Springbok Salad. All 3 were out of this world and neither of them were expensive. Highly recommended.

Lovely area, total deal with wine and cheese tasting, all reasonably priced and well worth the visit. Lovely little shop full of goodies, that are well priced and the guides that present are professional, with lots of stories to boot. The standard cheese and wine tasting is well priced and combinations are great with stories of the history of the farm, as well as the total wine making process.

Definitely do the Standard Tasting, which comes with cheese. Cheeses are the best. Wines are just OK, the Pioneer tasting is better than the classic. The two goats cheeses are so smooth and perfect, its incredible.The experience itself is not very personal or special. Highly commercialized set up and so not much for a wine tasting experience, but lovely space nonetheless. Def worth a stop for the cheeses and the cinnamon honey butter - - swoon.

The most wonderful family outing we have had in a very long time. The inclusion of children in tasting experience in cheeses and rooibos infused with pomegranite was so special. We had the pared cheese and wine option with taste of 5 or 6 cheeses with different wines for each cheese. Our host was amazingly professional and knowledgeable. Loved the experience! Staff were friendly and answered all our questions. Six wines paired with cheeses (2 white and 4 red), very reasonable at R40. There are other options! Was here on my last trip to Cape Town and I had to come back as I love the setting and atmosphere as well as their cheeses and wines. Goats at play for the children and adults to watch. The place has a very warm feel to it. Cheese cutters and boards, biltong, sweet and savoury items are available at the cheese shop for purchasing. There is a restaurant.

This farm offers the most affordable wine tasting compare to others in a 100km radius. Also beautiful with animals for the kids to see, great food and you can place your wine orders directly and get them delivered to your address and fast also.
