Great wine, brandy, cognac, and gin tasting. They have a great variety to choose from. We did the passport tasting giving you a selection of 5 different drinks. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. It was a great experience.

The brandy tasting with chocolate pairing was good. I would say the 5yr and Belgian chocolate was my favourite followed by the cognac and white chocolate pairing. The place lacked a bit of ambience or atmosphere, hence why it didnt get a five star. The lady who helped us was very friendly and jovial.

The experience is rather underwhelming, this is not a wine farm with vineyards, but rather a cellar & tasting room. KWV is a wine producer, they buy grapes to make their products, they dont seem to grow their own. Staff were knowledgeable but didnt seem too keen to share or follow-up with us, Im not sure if this was because it was a Sunday afternoon or because it was near closing time. Facilities are rather dated. Mentors collection is worth a try.

Really nice experience. Loved the Pie and Wine pairing. The pies are wonderful. The wine is good.Just not the greatest venue. Once you are inside it looks nice, but does not compare to being outside on any other wine farm with the breathtaking views available in the surrounding areas.Nonetheless if it is raining outside or it is winter you could do a lot worse.

Great variety of wines, brandy and liquers. Prices was slightly lower than normal prices elsewhere. Service was a bit of a let down, not seriously bad, but nothing spectacular. Still in my top 3 brands of brandy.

My husband and I opted for the House of Fire tour and we were so glad we chose it. Our guide, Michael, was so knowledgeable about brandy manufacturing, maturing, production and tasting! R40 per person and we were fortunate to have a private tour, 4 brandies with chocolate pairing and genuine, hearty South African conversation. He answered all our questions. Their shop prices were reasonable and you get a 10% discount if you opt for the tasting. With the bus in the repair shop, we needed our own car to take a short drive down to the distillery. Highly recommend if you are a brandy lover (or your boyfriend/husband is) and interested in the production process!

I was so in the mood for a semi-sweet Pearly Bay. Then checked online for their wine emporium operating times. Their website indicates on a Saturday they close at 16:30.....well Im here and its closed.....hence the one star .

The KWV Emphorium has an exceptional variety of wines to taste. There are quality and themed options as well as pairing options. The cellar tour in not to be missed. It starts with a good video about KWV, incudes an tour of their extensive cellars and end with a tasting of their varied products. KWVs brandies are world class and should not be missed.

This was really an awesome tasting expierience. I recommend this place to anybody who is interested in wine or brandy tasting.

We visited the Cathedral Cellar for an event. What an amazing venue for any occasion!

Its got what you expect, including tastings and stock of their various types of alcohol.If you want to just buy kwv alcohol, you can get it anywhere else. Whats missing here are different special editions that you can only get at the Emporium, a brandy gift from here just doesnt stand out from buying it at a liquor City.

What a great place to visit. Definitely worth checking out. The cellar tour was quite interesting and was intimate as we had a small group of 4. We visited on a Saturday so we couldnt go to the distillery tour so best you go on a weekday if you wish to encounter the liquor side of KWV. The wine tasting after the tour was excellent and we had such a great selection given to us. The KWV Emporium is so reasonably priced, including the seperate tasting and pairing packages on offer. Staff were so friendly and considerate especially towards children. Definitely a kid friendly place albeit there isnt a kids play area. Will definitely return on my next visit.

First time at this venue. KaapAgri hosted a suppliers day. Many varied sizes of brandy casks. Must be quite old if you look at the interior of the buildings. Wine & brandy tasting and sales available on week days. Would recommend.

Did the tea and chocolate tasting and it was a wonderful alternative to sitting in a restaurant and drinking a pot of tea. The combinations of chocolate and gourmet tea really was delicious.
