I fell into the lap of luxury here after a 4 day hike in the Baviaanskloof. I washed off dust and grime with Charlotte Rhys and fresh white towels in a well accessoried bathroom. And passed out on the softest bed in a modern romantic bedroom.Their restaurant were welcoming and accommodating and the food was flavorful and generous.The Rosenhof country house quietly surprised me and is a true hidden gem.

Highs:Reception - there was confusion about our booking but they made it up with a complimentary dinner apology and the dinner was lovely. Juanita is welcoming , friendly and sincere.Service - Mama Grootboom and Mandisi were amazing amazing amazing - great service. They are a true benchmark for service excellence.Dinner - lovely, tasty, simple and basic yet well done. It can suit different palettes for sure.Sleep and Bed - was great , I even forgot where I was. Amazing bed.Breakfast - 5 star ⭐️. And service 7 Star, you will love the breakfast room and pool area.Every person here including Sisi Mamfene was amazing, respectful, happy and welcoming.Supporting local :This business is local orientated and responsible and law abiding, they employMy companion and partner in love summary of the place :“ it’s fabulous darling. Maps or Waze sent us past , they the sign on the road needs to be fixed as it sends you past the place.

A tranquil and delightful hotel on the northern edge of town. Most rooms are clustered around a small ornamental garden and inward-facing verandahs are great spots to rest with a drink before diner. There is a gallery, a pool and a gym but the old farmhouse containing reception, lounges, the bar and dining rooms is best. Its a fine old characterful building making the whole place a great base from which to explore the areas attractions.

Nice scluded place all staff very friendly and helpful, however loo in suite 2 very noisey and needs fixed, as does the bed room carpet which need cleaned. Food of of very good quality reasonanably cosr and served with a smile. Overall very good apart from the few fixes need.

Rosenhof is set in beautiful lush gardens surrounded by abundant bird life . I have stayed here twice recently and found it to be a calm tranquil experience with warm friendly staff . The main building was a old farm house with the accommodation buildings built around 25 years ago , the rooms offer all the things you would expect including Charlotte Rhys toiletries and free WiFi that works . The property offers a swimming pool , a sauna and a gym that guests have access too . Dinner was excellent with local delicacies including Karoo lamb and ostrich on offer . Service was fast and professional and the food was well presented and very tasty . If you are looking for a peace of tranquility in Oudshoorn then Rosenhof would definitely come highly recommended .

A beautiful place in Baron van Rheede street Oudtshoorn,in a very quite part of town.It is opposite Klein Plasie holiday resort,within walking distance from the Cango Wildlife Range;within walking distance from all the shops in Oudtshoorn and approximately 25 minutes drive from the Cango Caves.It is 60 km from Calitzdorp,60 km from George,80 km from Mossel Bay,70 km from Wilderness,80 km from Sedgefield and approximately 110 km from Knysna.From the hotel,you have a beautiful view of the Swartberg Mountains as well.

Great start with lots of attention from the staff. Wonderful room, very well equipped. Lovely dinner, I recommend the ostrich. One bad point, there was no one to help with bags on leaving or it would have been a 5 star

If I could rate 6 star I would!Best food ever. Greatest treat in a long time.

Unfortunately, we were only there for 2 nights on a trip to South Africa. Had booked suite 2 with its own pool and had everything your heart desires. This hospitality, the service and the premises and restaurant at the highest level. On our next trip we book a week and make day trips from there before we continue.

One of the best hotels of our tour, great food and a warm welcome. Very good kitchen.

In winter, it is so cold in the bathroom, in the dining area and in the breakfast room that you have to wear a jacket all the time because there is no existing heating.There are bugs in the shower and in the rest of the bathroom.The dishes served in the restaurant are far from worthy of a 5 star hotel! The wait between courses was unbearable.The accounting is poorly done (two errors found on the final ticket)
