Best service I have experienced in SA so far.The staff is friendly, observing and well trained. This is a 4-Star guest house that feels 5-star. The rooms were well presented and clean. The overall experience was phenomenal and I would highly recommend spending at least 3 days to fully enjoy all of the activities.Big thanks to Marshal for his friendly services he made our stay memorable for sure.

This place was amazing. I took a group of 12 clients there as the last night of a 9 day tour. Everyone was blown away by the hospitality, the rooms, the food and the venue.John was our man who looked after us at Mooiplaas and he was just amazing. He made sure that we were sorted on everything we needed and was on it in a flash if you needed something. He is an absolute gem.This setting in the Little Karoo is just a must. Away from the noise of the city with beautiful sunsets and sunrises.WAVOLT Adventures will be back at Mooiplaas.

A neat 4 star guest farm with comfortable rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the best features of the guest house is that there are two camps of ostriches close to the accommodation. There is an incredible swimming pool (you could stay there just for the pool) and at night braziers are lit for atmosphere. The area seems safe and is reletavily close to town.

We stayed at Mooiplaas guest house for a night. It was a nice experience staying at an ostrich farm however we stayed there during our honeymoon and although they were advised about this, we were not giving any special treatment unlike all other houses. We also ate at their restaurant and it was very nice.

Such a wonderful place to spend a night, the rooms were spacious and really comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff, especially our waiter John, were exceptional. We ate dinner on the terrace looking at the stars, couldnt recommend enough.

Its rated four star but is a five star experience. The new accommodation completed in October 14, is impeccably finished and first class. Monica was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

What can we say? This is the best Guest House we have ever visited. We arrived early but this did not cause a problem and we were given a cooling drink while we completed the registration forms. On being led through the lobby onto the terrace we were greeted by an absolutely stunning view. The dining terrace spread the length of the guest house, below this was an infinity pool, which looked as if it tumbled into the landscape. We have never been lost for words but during the two days we stayed we could not get enough of that view. Our room was very well presented and had an outside area with table and chairs in which we could relax and enjoy the view. We ate in the restaurant both days and were impressed with the menu and presentation of the dishes. Each meal we had was delicious and we would recommend their ostrich steaks, after all it is a working ostrich farm. Mooiplaas offers trips of the ostrich farm and we were keen to look around and booked a trip. Koos the guide introduced himself to us and explained how the farm worked but during our conversation it became obvious that a car was required for the visit unfortunately we did not have one so it looked like our trip would not happen. Koos saw the disappointment on our faces and said perhaps we could do the trip another way. He was an excellent guide and it did not matter that our trip was shortened due to our lack of transport. We still visited the pens and the hatchery and saw the baby chicks. It was a fascinating tour, very informative and interesting. Thank you Koos. We would highly recommend the Mooiplaas and certainly will visit again when we come over from the UK, next time for longer.

Very friendly staff, excellent service and enormous large rooms

Situated a few kilometres outside of Oudtshoorn, this lodge is like a luxurious oasis with their own ostrich production. The Rooms are specious and nice, most with their own private terrace. They have an inhouse Restaurant and make one of the best ostrichsteaks anywhere. For breakfast, speak to the restaurant manager the evening before, and the will make you some ostrich egg for breakfasts. A must do if you have not tried it yet.

We stayed one night at this pretty ranch style property; its quite a way out of town so peaceful. Not sure ideal for families for anything more than a night or two but amazing location for us (views across Kleine Karoo valley). Next door to Ostrich farm which is worth visiting. Most amazing ostrich steak dinner and very reasonably priced but if you stayed for any length of time youd probably want to drive into town for variety. Room slightly old fashioned in decor but large and comfortable and good air condition (not too noisy)! Had place pretty much to ourselves. Staff presence very understated during day; but service for breakfast and dinner could not be faulted. Beautiful ambiance, nice people and a nice view. We get a tour and enter through the front door: a bedroom, bathroom that many people envy and a TV room with rocking chairs, minibar and terrace. You dont need more 😀

Generously furnished room, tasteful furnishings - the bouquet can be found in many details.The bathroom is very large and very modern.The warmth of the staff is hard to beat.If you dont choose the ostrich fillet for dinner here, youre missing out. Butter-tender fillet, perfectly grilled.

A very nice lodge. The tranquility invites you to linger by the pool. Time suddenly only plays a minor role. A very friendly staff. The kitchen is excellent and the ostrich steak, prepared by the chef, a dream! Again 5 stars!

This property bears his name rightly, because it is a good place, which the name promises.It is located on an ostrich farm, has fantastic apartments with a small kitchenette and a cozy sitting area. The bedroom is furnished with attention to detail, there is an electric blanket (for cold days and nights) and a nightcap. But my personal favorite is the mini tiles in the shower, which shimmer in all colors when water hits them.The staff is unbelievably friendly, and you feel its business policy to make everything possible for the guest to make him feel good. In the evening you can sit by the fireplace after watching the sunset behind the mountains of the Little Karoo from the pool.But before that there is a wonderful dinner and delicious wine. All served very friendly. The same applies to the breakfast, which is very extensive and offered in a very cozy atmosphere. You can feel the commitment of the entire staff and therefore feels so good at this good place. Thank you for the nice stay!

Beautiful stay! Stayed here for 2 nights. Service was very nice, food was great. I agree with an evaluator, in the evening there was unfortunately no vegetarian menu, also the menu is quite expensive (~ 340); compared to all the other restaurants we have eaten so far.The guesthouse is a bit out of the way, but you are quick in Outdshoorn.
