Best food in Mossel Bay. I recently moved to MB but only discovered this amazing restaurant tonight. Im American but have been living in SA for 5 years and I will say this restaurant has the most attentive, friendly staff Ive seen anywhere in SA, no exaggeration. And the only place Ive found with a fabulous variety of grilled fish and every other meat you could desire. My new favorite place! Thank you for opening!

Beautiful view of the bay if you sit outside. The host Eugene is always extremely friendly and just adds some spark to the whole experience. Food is really good and tasty. Good value for money.

Reasonably priced proper Portuguese food and a perfect view over the Bay. Well never visit Mosselbay again without visiting Eugene and his team.

Great venue and food.Seems only one person runs the place however , Shaun , great co-owner of the place but seems to do everything while rest of the staff sit around, he even does waitering and cleans the kitchen after hours.He did give us a few items wide this was a wonderful suprise at the end of our night, had a few sneak tots with him.Glad to see co-owners getting into the work and making sure we get our value for money and heads up on items not so lekka.Overall great night.RegardsJason

Went there for Saturday lunch yesterday - oh man! What a wonderful surprise! Great Portuguese meals on the menu : the 1/2 chicken was of good size and the peri-peri sauce was awesome - I ordered mine hot and it had me break a good sweat enjoying it!

A must visit. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The food was absolutely amazing. Perfect blend of flavours. Lovely people - owner and staff. We can not wait to go back. Definately one of our new favorite restaurants in town.

What a wonderful experience I had at this restaurant! All the staff from the owner through to Gherwin who attended to me were absolutely fantastic. Really good food and service! After being forbidden by a well known establishment at the same Spar centre to use my laptop whilst I ordered and paid for a full meal (had 2 previous less than pleasant or even satsifactory experiences there but as everyone rave about this place, I decided to give them another go as I understand sometimes things just go wrong, but now they will not getting any Stars in my book) what a lovely surprise Vista Do Mar restaurant was. Give them a try, I am sure you wont be dissapointed. I felt so welcome, they even encouraged me to eat the first establishments food at their pIace which I asked to put in a take away as I was not allowed to carry on working on an urgent deliverable, having a meal whilst my car was being washed). I off course declined, ordered Vista Do Mars chicken livers which I can truly recommend. I hope the friendly guys at the great carwash at the same centre at least enjoyed the first establishments food.....Vista Do Mar, you have just won one lifelong customer. Beautiful ocean views as well.

No no no. Never will I eat here or from here again. Portions are small and the manner in which our food was packed in the takeaway containers made us lose our appetite, not neat at all. Very unhappy customers.
