Although the bus and seating is a bit weathered, the food and staff are amazing. Opted for the Hake and Calamari Combo and thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and crispness of the batter.The calamari wasnt chewy or tough, and the fish tasted as if it climbed out of the bay into the pan, its was so delicious. A definite place to visit and enjoy the sea breeze, beautiful bay views and amazing food.

The calamari was seriously good and very cheap.

View is awesome. Fried calamari not bad. Absolutely no covid regulations in force. Uncomfortably dirty venue. Fried hake was way to oily. I think this place was awesome...but needs a serious upgrade. Wont be going back soon...or ever for that matter.

Personal service, delicious fresh hake and calamari in a light crispy batter. This is comfort food with a fantastic view. All the food is made. Fresh so it takes a few minutes, but it is well worth the wait. Pricing is good and definitely not expensive. There are magnificent views over Santos Beach and the Mosselbay harbor. Its also child friendl, with transparent safety slats that keep you safe without obstructing the view. Due to the fact that it is an old school bus, it is not wheelchair accessible. The upper seating area can only be reached by a small set of stairs.

I honestly dont like writing negative reviews but in this case I have to. I tried to keep my expectations within the context of the type of establishment but still ended up dissapointed. Wait times far too long. I thought the quality of the food might make up for that but it sadly didnt. Additionally, one of the items i ordered they didnt have. This was after I had a already paid for it. A simple bread roll. This was not mentioned and was only explained when I asked a staff member. we ran out and someone has gone to buy more. I never ended up getting it as we finished our food before it even got to that point. This is not acceptable. Not because of something running about but the way it was handled.

ONE OF THE MOST DISAPPOINTED EXPERIENCES i had in Mosselbay. 1st i had to carry 7 containers of fish without a plastic bag. They did not give any salt or pepper with the food no wipes for your hands nothing. Then it comes to the food.. The fish was tasteless and covered with a thick oily batter. Chips waa bad with no flavour or salt.. This place is a now go. So disappointed.. With all the restaurants around it is definitely a no go.

From their menu we had the deep fried calamari and chips as well as the hake and chips, R55 each. The food was delicious and not oily as fish and chips places tend to be. The location is great, you can sit on top of the bus which allows for views over the surrounding Santos beach or seating at Simply Asia next door or at the back of the bus for more of a protected dining experience, all of which have ocean views. Would recommend.

Great view of Santos beach. Fish nice, chips sometimes not fantastic. Calamari tender inside and crisp on the outside. Prices reasonable. Tartar sauce great. Rustic atmosphere and right on the sea. We love to go there.

Eating fish and chips in an old bus sitting at the harbors edge is awesome. The food is fresh and yummy. A lovely atmosphere while you take in the breathtaking views of the bay and sail boats coming and going. This area is a buzz if activity, with fisherman, scuba divers, tourists etc. A really great place. Its casual dinning with a beautiful view. Love it. If you like Oysters try the Oyster box next to the bus. Its part of the same company.

Decent food with a good view.

This is what I call old fashion style restaurant. Nothing fancy, friendly people and uncomplicated menu. The sea food is well prepared with a home made tartar sauce which complements it. You dont have to rob a bank before you visit them!

Not a place to buy takeaways. Fish smelled of old oil and no vinegar or salt was added not offered? Was not sure weather they ran out or just didnt bother. Would rather buy opposite Mosselbay Mall. Now there is a shop that has the best fish and chips takeaways.

The calamari and fish were lovely, but the chips were under-done. If you plan to sit upstairs you may need to pack a jacket as can be a bit chilly.

Last year we had fish and calamari to die for. This year we were so excited to be back. We talked the Londonbus up so much with friends only to be so disappointed. The fish batter was so thick it was uneatable. The calamari was tough and my fish cake was completely raw inside. Will not be coming back next year. So sad. Why change something thats perfect!

Nice little restaurant serving old fashioned english fish n chips, as well as other stuff. Waiting time for your order is quite long, but if you sit up top there is a great view of the beachfront and the sea. The fish was very fresh and tasty, bit oily which is the way the original fish n chips always was until the health nuts got involved. We enjoyed it, was a great experience. Prices are very reasonable, actually cheap, but quality is good. Value for money. You place your order down the bottom, then go up to the top deck of the bus and wait, and they will bring it up to you. Pretty basic, but quite cool!

The best in mossel bay by far

Theyre fish is old and gooey batter .... the hake is overthrown with batter and didnt even look like fish ... it was like a long fish strip .Really not good quality, and also unfriendly services....They should really buy and cook real fish.

Very unique fisheries with an amazing view. The calamari was unbelievably tender and well spiced and the hake melted in our mouths. They supply tartar and tomato sauce and have soft drinks to boot. Definitely a must visit in Mossel Bay!!

Best calamari to be found. We love the vibe and the excellent service and consistently good fish, chips and especially the excellent calamari. Affordable even for pensioners. Excellent always.

It used to be awesome. We visited the place today and got very disappointed again. Oily food and cold chips were served. We wont support anymore.sadly.

Great view, fast service and a nice fish and chip. The portion was a bit much for me and towards the end the greasy was starting to get to me because it got cold, but the initial bite was wonderful. I would recommend people to order a smaller portion to start with and get more later to avoid the issue I was having.

Only seafood (mealt-in-your-mouth fish and the crispiest thickly-cut pieces of calamari) and fresh hot chips, no russians and no alcohol. I highly recommend this as a good Halaal option although theres no certification. A must stop for tourists. Reasonably priced.Upstairs deck seating, but can get uncomfortably windy. Great view and ample parking close to shop.Make sure to tip well as the staff do great job of preparing your order and bringing it to your table, although they dont offer table service.

This place is appalling. The filth is indiscribable. Below where we sat was an accumulation of plastic cutlery, cardboard boxes and other rubbish. On the upside the view is to die for. So sad that a venue with such potential doesnt capatalise on this prime site.
