Very nice setting, beautiful bar and nice finishes inside the restaurant. Very friendly service and great food to match. I have been here twice and is a very nice hang out place when wanting to have a chilled lunch or supper. Location is great in waterfall corner. A very nice outdoor, indoor and balcony section to choose from! Huge range of alcohol to choose from. Will definitely return!

Service was veeery veeery slow. I was so hungry, took almost an hour for the food to get there, the drinks took forever to come as well. I was with my friends. And they all agree on service. Even the bill took hours to get there, and when we got the bill it took hours for the waiter to come with the card POS.I had a burger, and it was amazing. The potato cube things, delicious. If they can improve on the service element, I would give them 5 stars.The manager was great though. They had to take one of our tables because it was getting packed and in exchange gave us some free food. Overall also just an attentive guy.If all waiters can have the same peoples skills as the manager. The place will be great.

La Parada provides a nice mature environment to have semi-formal engagement, while enjoying good food. The wine list is pleasant (obviously South Africa makes some of the worlds best wines) but affordable. The hubbly stall adds an urban Schick flavour to an already charming establishment.

LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS to avoid any disappointment because this place was just pure disappointment, actually disappointment is an understatement because i really am embarrassed for La Parada. Coming from Cape Town with the hope that La Parada Waterfall will maintain the same standards as the La Parada in Cape Town. I guess i had too much expectations there. The service is the WORST. We got there at 1pm, the lady at the door had an attitude like we were bothering her until I mentioned that I have a reservation then she changed, and that was not the worst experience for the day. We anyway got our table The guy who was waiting on us was just MIA, we saw him when we got a table and after that we had to continuously look for him when we wanted to order. We ordered an MCC bottle, and it was warm, literally HOT, really who drinks warm bubble though like how💁‍♀️🤦‍♀️. That was literally the last time we saw this guy until hours later. We asked another friendly waiter who was passing by to help us place our food order because the person who is supposed to be waiting on us was no where to be found. Why didnt we just get the friendly and attentive guy initially because that other one was seemingly busy with whatever where ever he was. Anyway we ordered tapas and it took more than an hour to get them, just tapas not even the main meal, Tapas guys. How do Tapas take an hour really. Arent they supposed to be the fastest thing to put out whilst we wait for the main meal.I guess La Parada Waterfall has a different view on this. When we finally got the Tapas, thats when we saw The waiter 🤦‍♀️ . Anyway we got the food and it was just disappointment again, the prawns where the saddest of them all, skinny and not even fresh swimming in oil 🤣. We ordered apple juice (actually we settled for apple juice because we initially wanted appletizer but they didnt have), the waiter brought cranberry juice 🤣, he even had the guts to say no i know you ordered cranberry I mean are you telling us that 3 adults sitting at a table had memory loss at the same time. The guy did not even apologize or ask if we would like another. Anyway after that we decided we will not be having mains here, asked for the bill and enjoyed the rest of our afternoon at another better place, the best decision for the day.Let me try add some positives, 🤔. Well there was at least that nice guy who helped but he really couldnt attend to us entirely because Im sure he had his own tables to worry about. The place is lovely, has great lighting, the scenery is lovely🤭. And thats just about it.

Not great today. Bathrooms need attention and seem neglected. Floors were not clean. Hand dryer in toilet not working. One outside was working. Had an omelet and I have never seen such an unappetizing meal. It was an omelet with a slice of old ciabatta bread. No garnish of any sort. Friend had a salmon dish which looked great. Disappointed as I love the look and atmosphere but today was a let down.

WORST experience at a restaurant.Had a confirmed reservation yesterday but when we got there we were asked to wait for the manager to confirm the reservation. We waited for an hour for the manager who never showed up and no one knew what was going on.The restaurant is not managed at all or poorly managed.We then decided to seat ourselves cause none of the waiters were showing us to a table. 30 minutes passed without anyone attending to the table, what type of restaurant do you have to hustle for service!? Worse you have a reservation!!! Haaa the ghetto.Leave that, 15 minutes later we were able to ask a waiter to help the table. Took another 30 minutes to be able to locate that waiter again to place orders. When the food finally came it was absolutely disappointing.Asked to speak to the manager 3 times and they never came to the table.Its hard to find anything pleasant to say about this place besides the decor and music.

Never, ever again!!! In this day and age where we are health conscious surely this place can do better!!! The amount of oil in that food is enough to cook amagwinya again and again.

This place was such a disappointment. The service was terrible, my waiter only came to my table twice, first to show me a table and second time was to bring my bill... The food wasnt great. The seafood pasta sounded amazing on paper. It tasted like water from boiled chicken and looked murky. I dont think Ill ever go again

The service was really slow and messy, which was weird because the restaurant wasnt too busy. Plates and glasses were dirty, we had to send them back or wipe them down ourselves. The prawn and calamari tapas were tasty but not worth how much they cost in terms of quantity, granted theyre tapas but please, 4 or 5 tiny prawns on a plate for R120? Pizza would have been more delicious if there had been actual toppings, they were very skint on their chorizo and seafood. A below average experience in a very beautiful restaurant. The toilets were also very dirty. 3 out of 10.

They claim they use some healthy oil to prepare the food but that is no excuse for the food to he drenched in it. We ordered the sea food pasta and I could literally count the shreds of pasta. The prawns were definitely not fresh as they just flaked away from peeling. The tuna taco was ok however they still used tuna from a can. Prices are ok but the quality and portions definitely not. I was still hungry after a starter and main. Service is slow and waiters dont understand their menu as they cannot explain the meals either. Very disappointing.

Phenomenal atmosphere.The staff are all very helpful and very focused. Things can really go to the next level with a little more training on the menu.The facilities are very well kept and the bathrooms specifically are clean and private.I was very impressed with the food quality and quantity, serving size is nice and big. All the food ordered was very well prepared and is 200 times over worth the price.For a meal fit for a king, expect R300-400 a head incl drinks.Highly, highly recommended

I love the whole tapas vibe going on here and its a great option to try a bunch of things on the menu. Some of my favs were the chilli garlic prawns, tuna tataki, grilled calamari, and yummy cream cheese stuffed peppadews. The raspberry mousse dessert was good too! Service was a little slow cos it was busy and one of our orders didnt go through so we had to re-order. Regardless would go back.

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife and family to celebrate her birthday. The food was excellent as was the service. Thanks to Phinias and his team for making it a special outing and a special thanks to Phinias for the complimentary cheesecake for dessert. Was awesome. We’ll be back again.

In all the five times I have been there worst experiences, the customer service is appalling, the food is oily and has no flavour and the restaurant is sort staffed. Me and my friends have expressed all these grievances to the manager on all five occasions and still nothing seems to be better.Never again, I have given it five chances and still no improvement.The only enjoyable aspect there is the ambiance.

Beautiful restaurant to go to and have dinner or catch up with people. Lovely atmosphere and the waiters are helpful, knowledgeable and always around to assist you.We had the seafood pasta and the rib eye on the bone which were both amazing. The prune and sherry jus was a miss this time around.The cheesecake we had was also also amazing.

La Parada service is top notch. Particularly Brighton (barman) and Phineas. They are always willing to go the extra mile and make your experience enjoyable at all times

The restaurant has such a lovely vibe and seems like a great place to bring friends or a your partner. I was sadly disappointed by how bad the service was. The waiter took forever to get our drinks order and when he did, it took 10 minutes to bring our bottle of wine. He never came back to ask if we were going to order food or anything after that. We then moved inside after the sun started to set which is when we got some sort of attention, by then it was too late and all we wanted was to leave and get food elsewhere.

We visited La Parada for dinner on a Friday night and were surprised that it wasn’t full.In keeping with the Spanish theme, the decor was stunning and fun. The double to triple volume space is very grand.The waiters were very attentive and friendly.We were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the meal was when compared to similar restaurants in Johannesburg.The food was delicious. Between 3 of us we polished off the Del Mar platter and Patatas Bravas ... and then squeezed in a dessert too 😋Definitely worth another visit, and would recommend to friends.

The environment is good but they must improve on the service of their stuff. Our waiter took forever to serve us, then he complained about the amount of tips we gave him that time his service was poor. We tipped him out of generosity because he didnt deserve it, yet he had the gut to complain.

Food was oily or not seasoned well. The service was appalling, our waiter never checked on us much. Drink orders took forever. Only thing that was good was the music... But that ain gonna cut it. First time there and disappointed in so many ways.

Worst service and food experience.Reservations for 11am and our temperature was not even taken at the door because we had a reservation. We were met by our waitress who had a mask but it didn’t cover her mouth or nose. Whilst taking drinks orders, she advised that La Parada had never had that specific drink and asked if it was on the menu, only to point it out to her that it’s literally on your shelves to which she responded that we have good eyes, no apology!!! We waited almost 2 hours for our food and not only did they send us incorrect items, the food was disgusting and inedible. Spending almost R3000, you would think that atleast something would have been up to par. You have a beautiful location but can somebody atleast go into the kitchen to make sure you aren’t serving your guests horrendous food. I would say that we left hungry but honestly we had lost our appetites. Please do better for the sake of your business!! First and last time visiting.
