Great vibe. Its not a place for conversation - the music is loud, but to unwind and get your dance on with a few drinks, its a great spot.

Food was bad. Rice was under cooked. Prices was not good compared to the portion. Smoking area was not properly ventilated and was part of the nonsmoking area. Toilets was absolutely the best i have ever seen though.

The service was great, food was awesome lovely platter we had and the fact that my team Orlando Pirate won that day made it all special.

Interesting menu, however I ordered a medium rare Espatada and got the most overcooked and tough piece of steak ever. A decidedly big dissapointment. This is not what medium rare looks like folks

It was okay. Music wasnt too loud however service was slow despite restaurant not being busy since it was Tuesday night... Maybe post lockdown effects. Other than that, it was a good catch up evening

Cubana was cool the setting very nice you feel like your in a vip type of setting. The furniture is new which is nice the security though needs work a lot of work we really cant be waiting 1 hour to get into the Cubana AND ITS SUCH A WASTE BECAUSE ONCE YOU ENTER YOU REMOVE YOUR MASK AND NO RESTRICTIONS ARE FOLLOWED. Anyway very nice place, the music is good could be better with more in tune dj but overall happy.

My friend and I had been procrastinating on coming to this cool looking place and we eventually tried on Saturday. What a shame, the hostess by the door was quite rude, charged and ready for war. This girl had striked me as prejudice, just irritable and she had so much attitude her head wouldn’t sit still it reminded me of bubble had toys.We literally walked behind her right after she gave us a table. I’m not leaving my money in such a place. Who knows how your food will be handled?? Such a pity. I’d rather go where I feel welcomed.

Its like an other club with a bit of a vintage feel. Be careful no one should spit your or your friends drinks.

The vibe and the waitress was great, it place that I can go back.

The waitress was OK, she definitely tried her best but the food was not so great. I had ordered wings and chips and the wings were really old and were marinated in a lot of sauce to disguise. I dont complain about food because I have chef anxiety and what they might do to it so I decided to keep quiet. The music and the place was really classy, no complains there.

Nice place to have drinks with the gents. It is ideal to get there already tipsy. No fancy pants allowed and the guys at the door are strict. Some nice looking ladies go there with no money hoping to be taken care of by the strange gents they meet there on the night.

Great place to have drinks and to get ratchet but unfortunately the food was absolutely terrible. Had ordered pulled pork nachos. What arrived at the table was stringy, chewy, sinewy long cuts of what seemed to be pork (Nothing pulled) and brown guacamole, runny sour cream and not so fresh relish. Our waitress, Happiness (she was not the happiest of the bunch) was serving us and we complained but she did nothing about it obviously.Will definitely eat somewhere else before lacing myself with Cubana drinks. (I need to mention that my fav waitress is Gracious, bless her) :)

Absolute worst experience and service. The managers and staff are useless and unwilling to seat any patrons. Seating is only available to those willing to spend over R10k. Don’t waste your time coming here, they need to fire all their staff and terrain committed and willing people. Trash!

If it was not for the music a lot of people would not bother coming to this place. Treatment is absolutely horrendous. One must scrutinize bill very carefully before paying as they put extra items that you never had.

Their portion sizes standard is shocking and daylight robbery esp with meat dishes, had to return my bone dry ribs and thin cut steaks well cooked vs medium rare request. I guess nibbling vs eating whilst chilling with a drink is the objective not good dining

We asked for an extra chair to our table while we wait for a friend. There were so many empty chairs but we were told wed have to pay for the chair. Within 30 minutes, our friend came and the chair was moved to our table.LOL make it make sense?? Haibo guys, please do better.

I feel very violated today. I had my lunch today at Cubana in Midrand, when it was time to pay the waiter didnt want to take my payment because I didnt give him a tip. Spent about 15 minutes telling him that Im not giving a tip today, he stood there with a sad puppy face...at the end he told me next time I should have my lunch at bar because the bar man gets paid more than him. I think its time to explore other eateries

If you dont care too much the service and just wanna drink its good enough but I wouldnt suggest ordering a hookah pipe, they dont look anything like the ones displayed and arent prepared properly. Had a great time with my husband Saturday last week at your establishment. We were particularly impressed by one of your trainee waitress .Her name is Charmaine Chiduku. She let us know that shes still training as she was shadowing a senior waiter.Her smile was icing on cake and she is going to become an asset to your restaurant if she continues with her service.Will surely come back especially to be served by Charmaine , hopefully shell be done with her training then.Shes the reason why Im giving you a whooping 5 star.

I had lunch at Cubana today with two friends - extremely poor service. The food was palatable - thats the best I can do by way of a positive review. The only thing going for it is that the place is kept clean. I dont imagine Ill be visiting again.

Good chilling place.

They seem to be exempt from the country’s cigarette laws. Patrons smoke indoors and nothing is done about it. What a pity as the ambience is quite nice.

Dated. Probably great when it first opened but so many bars have overtaken it. On a Wednesday evening and barely full it took an hour to get a cocktail that was ordered. Beers and normal drinks were not much quicker. Food is average at best and overall its way too expensive. The reserved seating thing is nonsense - pretentious at best. In addition out of six urinals in the mens toilet, three didnt work, there was no hand dryer working and no soap and the cubicles like something you would see in remote village. Living on past glory sadly and not up with the times.
