Very chilled pub, nice outdoor seating

Needs some upkeep for sure but still nice spot to just grab a beer

This place has gone from strength to strength under different management.It has SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be more than it currently is but it needs somebody to give it that love. I dont feel the current management has done, or is doing that.If I could afford to buy the place and give it the love it deserves, I would.Its a sprawling property with ample space for great events. Theres a little stage for bands and musicians and a great fireplace for the winter months. Its pet-friendly and a good few dog lovers bring their furry friends round for their afternoon pint.The atmosphere is relaxed and family oriented. The menu pricing seems to have gone up since the last time I was there but the food is still good so its mostly a fair wager.Theres a jungle gym for bigger kids and a little kiddie area for toddlers. There is also two trampolines and a sandy area for kids to play.The bathrooms are clean and decent but could also use just that little bit of extra warmth.The interior is saved for the non-smokers and decorated with positive affirmations like friends and fun. Its cute but the place could use a lot more homeliness. Theres potential for quirky gadgets, flags, music regalia and oddities that I believe would attract a lot more people here.The waiters and waitresses were alright but seemed tired and bored.For these reasons Ive rated it 3 stars but it has the potential to rise to 5 with the right humans taking care of it.

What a fantastic old school pub. With such character and atmosphere. The food is great too, and prices are absolutely reasonable. They have live music often. Always a place with such a great vibe. A pub like a pub should be.

Fantastic bar man meets oyster chef T-nash making bespoke cocktails and amazingly delicious oysters that tantalize the taste buds.Pity the on site restaurant offers such atrocious service been waiting now for over an hour for food from Sergio our sever. One excuse after the other. Better to get food from the hard working vendors on site.

Amazing staff, great boss, brilliant music and entertainment and AMZING food, the food is so so great especially the Breakfast Bun and the nachos are the best. Amazing vibe just like how a pub should be. 👏🏼😁

Good place to enjoy alcohol along with some nice burgers and snacks. Ambience is nice if you like some outdoor place where you can sit outside listening to the music. There is a kiddies area as well to play for children. Staff is very helpful and prompt.

Quality of food was extremely poor.. the chef does not even take the time to season anything.. disappointed, will not recommend to anyone.

The last remaining actual country pub in the area.As shopping centers, apartment complexes and carparks flood the kyalami countryside, the inevitable march of gentrification has turned many a local/family business into a soulless franchise - Country Pub refuses to budge. And the neighborhood is better for it!Its a little rough around the edges and wears it with pride.Older men catch up in their corner of the bar in a cloud of cigarette smoke.Doggies are free to play and run around.Strangers are never strangers for long. Everyone seems to know everyone and for good reason - everyone comes back!Genuinely one of the last of a kind and should be cherished for as long we can!One day it all could be a Dros...

Every month on the 1st Sunday they host a market day xx awesome food stalls, lively atmosphere and music, trinkets, pet accessories, wines, antiques and so much more for sale.People come with their animals and there is lots for the children to do too. Its one Sunday I know what I am doing as I love to see some of my old school friends and nine times out of ten seem to catch up with some old but new friends from the area. The garden is awesome, sitting in the sun is the best. But for those that want to play pool, they can do so or just in the lounge around big camp fires, its a all rounder day and place for everyone, old and young children, and dogs just a day of fun.

Bad service. Ordered drink. They did not have it but served me something else. Did not even apologise when questioned. Not first time i have had issues there but definitely last time.

Fantastic food, kid friendly. Only criticism, people come there with their dogs, which is fine, but being kid friendly, only kid friendly dogs should be welcome then!
