Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Really incredible.

I had a really great pizza. The pasta was amazing as well. Would have loved to give them 5 stars but I cant lie service is super slow. Very friendly but the service is just too slow.

The food was phenomenal. Crispy, thin pizza base. Very flavourful and well cooked lasagna. The only complaint is the unfriendly owner. When querying the strange menu with no prices, where one has to consult handwritten prices on a blackboard, she got very defensive and unfriendly. When we subsequently tried to make light of our query, she responded with a sulk. Perhaps the restaurant would be better left in the hands of a capable manager, and not the owner who needs to sharpen her people skills and general EQ!

Warm, fun, homey, easy. Its a bit noisy and a slightly claustrophobic setting but you can still have a conversation easily without having to scream, with friendly and funny staff, good service, a general good laughter in the air and delicious food. The staff recommendations are also on point.

This is a review for the Trabella in Parkview. We had the margherita, the eggplant parmigiana pizza and a potato and feta pizza. I must say that the pizzas are quite ordinary or just plain average. Further, for the price that the pizzas are, clearly not worth the money spent. The three afire-mentioned pizzas and normal soft drinks came to R390, but the food was not worth that price. Lastly, the pizza bases were extremely thin and crispy (almost cracker like). It was by no means fluffy or chewy, almost like they were using old dough, unless they are going for extremely thin crispy cracker like pizza bases. Not impressed, but the food was edible.

We love the place. I visit the place twice a week. The owner or manager is should just focus on her business and not interfere with what happening next door. Competition is healthy. She is too busy with what is happening next door

Nice little place with a interesting menu. They serve thin crust pizza, lots of options to choose from. Might be a little bit expensive but very tasty.

The best Italian in JHB. By far the beat Gluten Free base I have had. Drinks are well priced. Peanut butter cheesecake is apparently to die for...Tracy the owner is always in the store and makes you feel at home in her shop. Great meals every time we eat there...i recommend it without a doubt!

Okay a bit of background:I have travelled the land, far and wide, searching for the perfect wheat-free, gluten-free pizza.Places Ive searched:Greece - ehFrance - malItaly - you would think but noMadagascar - nopeBut my search is Over. I can now die in pizza (peace-tza (lol)).The base was crizpy and flexible like it should be. The vegan cheese was a ricotta texture with a mild, inoffensive taste, which is to be desired in a faux cheese. Fresh basil on top with artichokes and olives and fungi. Could have been more generous with the chokes but thats a minor minor point of preferenve really. Overall would do again. And again. And also, again.

Very hands on owner which in turns makes very good efficient staff & service & consistently great yummy food. . Only issue is to go with a family that doesnt love chilli so much, #JustSaying #NoNeedForChilli

Awesome thin crust pizza.

Best pizza in JHB without a doubt. Pizza vases are very thin and topping are amazing. My favorite is the salmon and caviar. The place is always busy and has a good vibe. Suggest you book. Don’t sit next to door in winter it can be freezing. Menu doesn’t have prices, but pizzas can be around R135 for the salmon which is probably the most expensive.

Pizzas ordered were good. Service was poor overall. Owner focused on one table whereas the only waitress focused across the other tables and barely managed. When engaging with owner she came across as being rude and arrogant. I won’t rush back.

Ive ordered pizza from Trabella since it opened. The pizza is great but until recently I had no idea how rude the owner is. I asked for no cheese and vegetarian on my usual pizza but she responded with such disdain, impatience and rudeness! There was no need.

Amazing service and the best pizza money can buy

Probably the best pizza in Joburg (if not South Africa).

I tried to make a booking at this place and was initially accepted with a table of 20 people. I specifically asked whether a set menu is required as Id have quite a few vegetarians, pescatarian and other friends with specific dietary requirements coming. The initial response was that a set menu was not required. 3 days before my booking, I receive a phone call from the manager saying that a set menu is required. When I tried to argue my point about this not being a requirement initially, she responded by saying I dont want to risk 20 people pitching up ordering jugs of water on a long weekend. After a few phone calls back and forth, she decided to use foul language such as piss off and f**k off, I dont need your booking. This was the worst treatment Ive ever received from a restaurant patron and she even failed to answer my question as to what had changed from when I initially made my booking to when she called me to change the requirements. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that a long-weekend is coming up with a rush of customers expected, hence trying to clear out her bookings. I will never recommend a restaurant that treats random strangers like this to anyone, regardless of the quality of their food. Its time that small businesses also begin to have a social and corporate responsibility when it comes to the way they treat customers and non-customers.

We held our engagement party at Trabella with 50 people and was really an awesome evening. Thanks for the hospitality and great food and service!

Bland. Burnt. Overpriced.Awful experience. Ordered a mexicana with a banting base, the crusts were completely burnt and the pizza flavourless. Barely any meat on the pizza, had to add chilli to supplement lack of flavour - only to be disappointed with flavourless chilli. Poor service, had to keep raising my hand to gain the attention of the waitron. If you want pizza go to Andiccios just down the road.(Also spell check on the menus and boards wouldnt go unnoticed)
