I had good experience with sandwich and burger but this time Im disappointed with this food, have load of chips on burger and wonder why pizza.... is really Disgusting they just want to make money not quality of food

My sister insisted we drive all the way there and I was not keen since its so far from our place. Once I tasted the food, I immediately got hooked. Definitely worth going back for. Their staff is friendly, food is freshly prepared and so tasty

The service is on point. This establishment is one of my favorite so. Whenever im around Mayfair its definitely the place to go for the best experience on food. Just love the AK47 sandwich!

Standard of food is not as good as before. Theres been a steady decline over the last few years. Recently purchased a steak special, there were more chips in it and very little steak. Was not spiced well too. Wonder why pizza 🍕 is getting smaller and price going higher. If only we could go back to the 90s and early 2000s.

Your cheat day meals for a week in one bite. Absolutely love this place. You cant go wrong with a toasted steak special. If you brave enough or have a few friends order the AK47.... or a pizza to share. Its spicy but lekker.

Akhalz Mayfair for the win! Long drive to Mayfair but so worth it for the Russian and the Steaks specials. Still the best in Joburg!

Great Innovation on their pizza kota

The chip roll was nice, ample portions for the price. My friend got a dagwood which was very bland, no flavour whatsoever.

This place has the best pizza I have EVER had (and Ive had my fare share of pizza from dozens of places). I highly recommend the Chicken La Nona Pizza, very filling and tastes amazing.Id also recommend calling, placing an order and then collecting...just makes the wait much short, although it wasnt too bad.

Bought the AK Roll. It was massive and heavy. Fed five adults over two meals - supper and breakfast. Tasted great with the chips being proper old school vinegary and spicy. The meats were very tasty and all tasted distinctly different in their own right,. Would recommend this sandwich.

Akhals is an institution. Most amazing food always. People travel from far and wide to grab a bite of satisfaction. We often get a few to take to family in Cape Town cos they miss it so much. Gotta try it, gotta have it. Totally amazingly beautiful

Best place in Fordsburg for take-away by far!My usually spot when traveling back to Cape Town by car.Great tasting foods and efficient service, with nice good deals & prices.The downside to their popularity is preparing hot foods takes time so expect a short wait till the food arrives, but its more than well worth the wait!

Wholesome food. Love their special steak sandwich. A bit on the steep side, but worth it in my opinion. If youre more into quality food and dont worry about the prices much, this is the place for you.

This is not the place to have a sit down dinner. Its more a takeaway place. But lets not take anything away from their food, its fantastic. Call ahead and order or else you will wait a while given how busy it gets. All in all 3 stars for food only, would rate 4 if food was out quicker. One less for atmosphere (there is none) and another for visual appeal (there is none).
