The Buffet was the best option ever. Every single thing tasted amazing. Our waitress Anna was helpful and friendly. Would gladly go back there. The rib sauce should be bottled. 😁😁

From my call to find out if I need to book, till my last dessert, I was satisfied. A very friendly Lerato on the phone, promised me a lovely dinner, and that I got. There are not many buffet restuarants where the roasts are succulent and juicy. Many places I found it to dry. Love the selection on the buffet and they have eishbein for R99 per kg. Good value for money. Staff are super friendly and very professional. Come here if you are hungry. Will definitely come again. They can seat 350 people inside and outside and also have a private room with 18 seats. To run a big seater like this successfully, the management must be hands on.

Wonderful restaurant with great decoration and a very warm feeling. We go through pretty often and always have a wonderful time. They have clip on high chairs for babies and some of the greatest breakfast buffets Ive ever had.

Was so attracted to the Beautiful Lights in the outside setting as I had not been in a long while (Pre Lockdown)However...Buffet is not quite what it was with limited variety and waitress forgot to give me the slip but said I could just go which was not the case when I was asked for the Buffet Slip by the gentleman behind the buffet.Not impressed and not sure if I will be back and if I do I will check the Buffet quality and quantity prior to sitting down as I could have easily have left had we not ordered starters, mains and drinks already.

The food is nice, but you have a limited choice( the is only two kind of food that you can choose from)

Worst place on the eastrand. Our 2nd try. And still no service. Walked in was seated and then forgotten. 2 tables that arrived after us was served and we weren’t even looked at. This is the 2nd time we have given them a shot.Will never return and will not advise anyone else to ever visit them.Well done House of Ribs you have successfully lost a customer for ever and any referral

Buffets are generally bland, slushy, reheated food.Not in this case.Its a family restaurant. Play area for kids. Super friendly staff.I went to emotionally eat, expecting a buffet bleach experience.It was good. Creamed spinach that is delicious, roasted potatoes that were fresh, ribs a bit too sweet but meaty, cauliflower that had form and taste.You dont need to be a family to eat there.But you had a horrible week, and need to eat good food go to this place.The server (Precious) is awesome and rate the service 5*The food ,ambience, restaurant 4*Its a place of comfort, excellent service and good old fashioned food.Next time I will hit the pin ball machines for a few hours.The managers are very friendly, attentive and aware without being painful. Which is amazing.Try the spinach and if they have mushroom soup try that as well. It is delicious.

Our party of 7 were all highly impressed with their meals. 3 had the carvery, 1 the Eisbein, 1 grilled chicken, 2 had ribs.The restaurant was busy with 3 large parties (1 of 24!) but the service was good. Our drinks order arrived promptly and our meals were hot and tasty. Our waitress popped back to check on us regularly but was not intrusive at all. The baby chair which was requested when booking was placed at our table without any prompting. Overall a great experience.

Covid protocols: tick, very good practices. The staff are very welcoming, pleasant and efficient, makes the experience all that better. I had the buffet, a fair selection of roasts, ribs, Salads and Ice Cream dessert. The soup could do with an overhaul, but, the food is good generally, it could do with a splash of spice or more flavour though, but, it was good. The price is pretty decent, value for what you pay, actually, theres great specials at really good prices. I would return, PS: Cappuccino with Cream - Outstanding.

Ribs was great. A dear friend from the Winelands love ribs so this was a must for him. He loved it.

I have visited with this outlet some 30Years. Brought family. Been welcomed, so very warmly. What can I say, you are still great!

The place is very nice and clean however something did not sit well with me. First the waiters did not pay much attention(no guidance at allas to how the buffet thingy works) to us when she eventually came she seemed not pleased that we were going to take the buffet, (maybe she preffered we eat something else). We went to collect food at the buffet area, first the guy slicing the meat looks at you as if to intimidate you then also bluntly tells you, you dont have to get all that meat you can always come back. (Of the over 10 places in South Africa and out of SA i have never had this experience).Secondly the manager is there standing looking at your plates, am not sure if its only us or everyone but it made us uncomfortable and couldnt try all we wanted(whats the point of the buffet anyway?). We ate and finished, no manager came to check on us since it was visible we were new comers. When we left the manager or superior was in the lobby area but we did not get any goodbyes and that am sure its only us.From all this i hope it was not about RACE( after reading many reviews now i am hapoy to say it wasnt), hope they just did not like us or thats how they treat all new comers. Thats a 2 from me only for the clean environment and a beautiful place. Did not enjoy the experience at all!My Question to the Owner?? I have read so many Reviews now with the same complains. Is Management just ignoring or? So much people cant complain about eg how rude the guy slicing the meat is, for months and nothing is done. Makes me wonder if you only read favourable reviews? I had an awful experience at the house of ribs, their buffet is so limited, I could have just cooked my own food, their cocktails were so strong I just 1 sip and I couldnt anymore... The waitress was helpful but as I said the food really didnt live up to my expectations...the people that dish up at the buffets are so rude... And as a paying customer I was truly not happy and I aint going back there again...

Family friendly set up. I liked the option to sit outdoors. They run buffets and stuff. I had wanted to order from the menu which unexpectedly took a bit long. But the meal itself was good.

I love a good vibe and this restaurant provided just that, there is always something going on! The everyday buffet is a convenient, value-for-money option. This place is great for big groups and infused in a hearty energy. A few negatives though? The two hour maximum sit-in is very restricting, the staff didnt tend to us very well and the service was sub par. The food though? 10/10.

Carvery is nice but not a big variety, no pizzas. Only ice-cream as dessert

The food along with their prices are excellent. The place is always clean. The atmosphere is great during the day and at night.

Buffet begins at 12:00, coke a cola finishes at 13:00. If you are looking at an okish buffet with long que waiting times, then this place is for you.

Terrible buffet, the food is tasteless, no food variations, you are forced to order drinks if you want to go for seconds 🤣. Rather pay more for a decent buffet elsewhere. Dessert you only get once, plated. But its a buffet. Dont even want to mention their buffet ribs bones 😅😅😅😅😅 its just a joke

Friendly service. Lots of seating space. Play area outside for children. Pleasant atmosphere. Food was very good. Stools are just a little bit uncomfortable, especially if you are a bigger person.

Good prices on the Buffet during Lunch and Supper. Food is good. The running off the establishment however, during busy times needs to be improved and a proper system needs to be put in place. The waiters are worked to the bone, shifts needs to be implemented. Salad bar to also be updated as the potatoes in the potato salad was not cooked. All the entrances should not be kept open as yesterday was a frenzy, people ate and left leaving the poor waiter to foot the bill. Kindly take note of these suggestions. There was also a pregnant waiter she needs to be maybe be kept at the front desk and seat the guests as she was on her feet non stop during that busy frenzy.

I loved the service.The FOODWe loved the food the meat was everything we couldnt stop having seconds and thirds lol and my son just had pizza and ribs to last him his lifetime.We want to come back again and again am still craving the ribsLOVED IT😍😍😍

Their food wasnt good at all. We ordered a platter that comes with ribs, chicken and fish. Everything was dry. For a house of ribs, their ribs were terrible. The portions were good but thats where my compliments end.

Was absolutely disappointed with the lack of service. The waitress only attended to us when we entered but left us in the middle of the passage without showing us to an available table. We just stood there not knowing what to do. And it was very full. So we ended up leaving and never got to sit down. Thoroughly disappointed at such poor service

Unfortunately this restaurant shouldnt even get 1 star, it has gone from hero to zero. We frequently this restaurant regularly before lockdown. We went there for lunch today for the first time since lockdown. The plates were cold, the food was cold and when I asked for the sauces for the roast meat I was shown to the TOMATO Sauce. The desert was ice cream and chocolate sauce, on a cold winter day. We will definitely not be visiting this restaurant again. A real pity

They need to have more options for hot food. Some of us eat hot food. But its a great place.

Within this pandemic over booked and crowded on special occasions. No social distancing. But I suppose it is because of the good food.

Waited 40 minutes for cauliflower and it was still not well prepared. The Griller took all the crumbs from the pork.and put it in my mothers plate we had to ask him for a proper slice of.pork for my mother.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The manager was also very accomodating with our request. All in all was a pleasant evening.

The meals are well prepared, the stuff is friendly and the prices are affordable. Its usually packed during the weekend and its on a spot that is quiet and child friendly.

Excellent food, service was great. Waited a while for the ribs, but it was oh so worth it, definitely a thumbs 👍up from me!
