It is a massive store which guarantees the shoppers of finding almost all their shopping requirements there.From electronics, clothing, building materials to normal household items kits all in there.The covid-19 protocols are firmly observed, this creates queues but the queues are smooth moving that you dont even realize that you were waiting.There are also a lot of specials to be found in store on a regular basis.Phenomenal store.

The shop floor is well stocked and properly divider. I always my wanted items where they are supposed to be stored. Has wonderful employees like supervisers, packers, cashiers and products advisers. Offering a variety of items on sale

Worst service from the cashiers at this store.This is the umpteenth time we’ve experienced really awful, attitude from the cashiers, most especially from the Bulk Traders side.We have a business and purchase for large amounts very often. We believe in courtesy and treating customers with kindness in our business. Genuine customer service is so important, most especially during this stressful period.Sadly this store does not believe in customer service. You get constantly ignored whilst the cashiers are yacking to each other or on the phones or they look at you with a glum expression (if you’re lucky to have them look at you at all!).There is also a lady at Telesales who is possibly the most unfriendly person I have come across in a long time.The staff at this branch feel as though they are doing you a favour.Just not on!

So very disappointed with Makro Store Crown mines,been your customer for decade but I was so disappointed recently when I visited your store as i usually do monthly to my groceries and I bought 3packs chicken wings and all of them were off,I mean the smell,the color🤦‍♀️all of them were green inside the packet...can you please make sure that you keep your food fresh and healthy for us customers to happy..Im not very happy about this😡😡Hopefully yall gonna look into it.Thank you .

Unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars.My son bought a Hisense 514 l Side-by-Side Frost Free Fridge with Water Dispenser just before he moved to Kuruman on the 18th September.When they switched the unit on, it did not work.It was reported on the 20th September.Until now nobody even tried to assist them.They had to throw about R3500 worth of meat and frozen veggies away.The after sales service is an absolute disgrace.

Terrible after sales service. I purchased a brand new TV on Saturday. The TV is faulty and not functioning as advertised and as indicated by the sales person. Makro wants me to return the TV for assessment of the fault and the process takes 14 days. I now have to sit without a TV for two weeks even though I paid good money for a brand new television. What rubbish is this that they cant swop it out for another set, and they will repair my new set????

Today was not full and they control the line to pay very well, but its little bit expensive to shop at Macro this days.

Even with the current situation, Makro offers a great shopping experience. With friendly, efficient staff who go the extra mile to make one feel at home, this is a shop worth five stars...

Great place but can improve on somethings. I dont usually shop at Makro because it has been so out of reach in terms of the areas I travel in. My experience was somewhat annoying because you cant buy anything without a store card. There i was in the que to buy my items only to be turned back because I didnt have a card. It was about 17:20 mind you and the shop closes at 17:30. I had to ask people around to use their cards. How sad is that? Anyway... I saw very affordable stuff so, I will definitely go back. The card part is just a turn off. I understand that you get points and all but really?

Having gotten used to the impeccable service at MAKRO Vaal I was shook at the repugnant service at Makro Crown mines. EMPLOYEES ON Makros PAYROLL literally didnt respond when I greeted because I was about to ask for help and interrupting their private conversation.The cashier was Sour and treated me like she was doing me a favor ringing my stuff and also just haphazardly just put all my shopping in 1 bag food next to detergent even though I bought more than1 bag. Sies! Ill die first before going back to Makro Crown mines..Repugnant.

Too slow. Its compulsory to buy using a makro card...I didnt know that and no one said so when we entered the store.

Services was good, everything was easy to access. Went to the liquor store wide variety of wines and gins. Not as wide as some shops though.The food and stationery and other sections also have a wide variety from plates, stoves, laptops, desks etc etc. The shop is huge and lets you fond almost everything that one is seeking.Will go back.

Great service from the customer service agents I interacted with. It was Vusi from the Office Furniture dept, Freddy Tanke and Ace Sekgotho. All these gentlemen were so friendly and helpful. They were patient in assisting me with my quotations. I was told Id receive my quotations within 24-48 hours, but I received four quotations in under 2 hours. Love love love the store

Plenty of parking space, good customer care but situated in a high traffic zone with difficulty exiting the place most of the time. Usually you find most desired items. Its closer to freeway like most Makros hence high traffic.

Got all the way home to find the appliance damaged and full of water next time I will go to Hirshes....now the fight to get my refund.They did refund me no hassles just the inconvenience.

Terrible... Rather go to Woodmead or elsewhere... That store is pathetic...

Worst customer service, staff are busy socialising with each other OR no where to be seen. The staff in the clothing section were sitting down and deep in conversation, ignoring customers.

My complaint would be getting overcharged majority of the time. This means that I always have to check my till slip before exiting the store. It can become frustrating..

I was quite disappointed at the safety protocols carried out at Makro. It is continuously announced that customers should wear their masks properly, but the staff of Makro do not wear their masks properly.

I qued for more than 30 minutes by the kiosk with my four items. By the time I reach the teller i was told that they are only selling cigarettes that day no payments for goods after they saw me standing for long without advising me to leave earlier and pay some where else. And the teller wasnt friendly at all.

Absolutely disgusted with the attitude of staff at Makro Crown Mines. I recently visited to purchase paint and was completely ignored for 15 minutes by the assistant who was pacing up and down the aisle. After asking when we would be able to get assistance he said that he didnt know when because he was busy.I asked to speak to the floor manager and he said that there wasnt a store manager in. I then asked a neighboring assistant Shaun, who stood with his arms folded saying that the manager wasnt in.After asking a total of 4 people to get some assistance I was then directed to the assistant manager who apologized. Upon waiting in the slow line for the next 20 minutes the assistant manager walked passed and asked why we we still here. When I remarked it was because of his staff he made a loaded comment by saying theres nothing wrong with MY people and that it cant be everybody. We then left it at that with the so-called assistant manager.Upon paying at the cashier, the lady sarcastically handed us our receipt and asked if we were waiting for something, incidentally mistaking us for another couple who she directed elsewhere.I am appalled at the work culture within the store of sheer rudeness and disdain for customer service, passing snide remarks and underhanded comments when issues are raised.To top it off, the security at the gate refused to inspect our slip as he needed to first speak to someone even though it was simply 3 tins of paint which were paid for in full with no reason for us to wait for him for such a routine check and stamp.I have been a loyal patron of the store for over 15 years and will never set foot again in what can only be described as a store whose standards have dropped to decrepit levels.Disgust only begins to describe my sentiment towards the store.

I would love to come there again but your floor staff are not really helpful. Rather visit a different store if your a person with a disability and would require assistance in this Makro.The only good thing is the manager/supervisor and security personnel are the only helpful people that make that store a better place.Why hire some floor staff if they ate not going to assist a customer?

They did not have varient of sawing machines to make me excited of the visit. The sports wear tekkies are of lower standard. I liked the idea that the gym dumbbells are now in stock. The staff in the bicycle sectionwee helpful

Makro Store has always been a good space. Reasonable prices, can find pretty much anything. I do, however, think the mandatory shopping card system is rather limiting.

I bought a liquor from makro bottle store, i then proceed to the shop to buy some groceries... The security ask me to leave my stuff at the door because you are not allowed to get in with... I do so. Later when i finished with my grocery BOOM my stuff mixed with someone items.. Poor security😭

Very disheartening experience today. First visited the store 2 days ago, in search of fridge freezer. Took my son along. Received good advise and product knowledge, very pleasant. Went home to deliberate. Called the shop assistant about our decision, based on his advise, well be back.Called in the carpenter to work out adjustments to accommodate the new bigger fridge.Very excited, cash in hand, went back today. The guy didnt/couldnt recall previous discussion, infact, referred me to another guy coz he had a personal issue to attend to. To add insult to injury, the product was out of stock!. Was sent to online sales, same story. Salesman wouldnt sell me the one on display. I was prepared to take it with the little dent. So, went home empty handed. Very disappointed.I was always led to believe the customer is king!

Disliked every second I spent there. I doubt i would wanna go back there. Hardly got assistance and all the golf items i was looking for. The worst Makro I have visitedFirstly you cant find most products there as it is not situated in the north. Secondly the customer service there is horrible simply because most Africans think they dont have to respect each other but we are quick to respect all other ethnic group.I was rudely asked by the security not to drink my coffee in store due to making other customers uncomfortable but having my musk down!!!😡

Appalling service and attitude of staff at Makro Crown Mines!!! Walked in at 4:30pm. Stood and waited for half an hour for the workers at the paint department to assist us without even being acknowledged as customers waiting. Paint department was rude, unhelpful and just unpleasant to deal with. There was NO floor manager to be seen on the ground. We asked three people for the manager until we were directed by the FOURTH person to find him. Seems to have been a co-worker cover move that the staff play. We were insulted by the assistant manager (Tembiso). He told us that there is nothing wrong with my people and that everyone in the store cant be a problem, it must be US having the issue. Is that a way to speak to your customers? Cashier was rude! She confused us with someone she spoke to earlier and told us you are here again, I already told you where to go after handing our receipt (in the interim of us packing our goods) she remarked are you waiting for something?A very unpleasant experience.Absolutely disappointed. Will not be returning to Makro Crown Mines.Pity there isnt a rating lower than a 1 star.
