Best Chicken Satay in Jozi, melts in your mouth with delicious peanut sauce. Also had their spring rolls - cant recommend them. Mains we had Chicken Phadthai and Chicken noodle in peanut sauce. Service was very good.

Ordered take aways telephonically - and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes.Took an hour instead.I understand skeleton staff but rather be honest upfront about timing.Food quality good

Friendly and fast service (although I have to add that we were the only two customers in the restaurant at that time). No Thai native chef. The food we ordered (massaman and green curries and duck in peanut sauce) were pleasant enough - but not authentic. The restaurant is well maintained, clean, and they adhere to Covid-19 hygiene regulations.

Always messing up the order . Ordered garlic fried rice and order came with heaps of garlic had to throw it away. Never again.

Ive been a sit down and a takeaway customer for many years. And the few minor complaints that Ive had during that lengthy time have been professionally corrected, with empathy. Until last week. I dont know if it is new Management or also the change of franchise ownership behind that, but things are different.For takeaway my usual is the classic chilli cashew chicken. (For sit down, I splash out.)  In the early days when I complained about the amount of cashews, in a dish with the name in the title, I was told the quantity was specified by corporate. And corporate told me what it was. Very small. IMO it should be about 50% more. But I got used to adding my own extra cashews, even when I got given a more generous amount. Probably because I was recognised as a regular. I always ask for the cashews separate, and in February my 514 obviously had less cashews than the specification. I weighed them when I got home. Then last week I had the cheek to suggest that the shortfall could be made up with my new order. Nothing doing. Even when the portion was again obviously too small. But the Manager flatly refused to do anything. He even watched while I took a photo. 🙄 At home the portion was again exactly 20% smaller than the spec. Its sad when Management thinks that a few grams of cashews are more important than correcting an obvious mistake. Whether for a regular or not. Or is/are the owner(s) cutting costs to a ridiculous extent?(1*, but 5* for the taste of the food after I added extra cashews. 😁)

Simply Asia Bryanston is one of the best in the city of Johannesburg as I have visited many other outlets too. I have been there multiple times with my in-laws and my parents and all of them liked the place so much. Over the years the quantity has reduced but there has been a lot of new menu items added to the restaurants. I am a vegetarian and I totally love the menu which offers good stuff for Vegans too. Go for it. Thanks

Poor customer service. Although clearly states Delivery i am told that they dont do delivery and cannot assist.Remove delivery from your service offering if you are unable to assist customers!

Good Asian taste but loved by local people

Always amazing food at Simply Asia (514 chicken hot is my personal favorite). First time Ive been to this one though and Ive got no complaints. Staff were happy and accommodating and food was received fast and hot. There is also plenty seating area and free parking.

Called in to place a pickup order, was told it would take 20 - 25 mins. Its now been 45 mins since.... and the average waiting time as Im told by one of the managers is 40 mins 😕

Service overall was poor. Food was cold. Disappointing experience

Our waiter, Michael, was really friendly and patient, his service was great. The vegan cashew noodles that I ordered were delicious and the serving was generous. Pro tip: If you like hot food, go for their hottest option because its very mild.

Just left Simply Asia Hobart centre....food was amazing. There was a 50% off sushi special as well as the mon-fri buy one get a second dish 50% off. Food was really good ordered sushi starter and a 6 piece combination platter. Ordered a 309 beef rice, black pepper beef rice, 514 with noodles and prawn, green curry pesto chicken noodles. Then finished off with the fried bananas and ice cream. I ordered mild and medium flavour profiles. Service and food was really great had an enjoyable evening, restaurant was relatively busy. Definitely worth a visit.

Ive been to many Simply Asia restaurants in South Africa and this one is my favourite. Together with my boyfriend we went there at least 5 times over the last year and we were never disappointed. The staff was friendly, food was great (we tried sushi, duck and chicken curries) and the atmosphere is very chilled - perfect for a relaxing dinner. 😃

Worst service ever!! I left in tears and my date night was almost ruined if it was not for my amazing husband. Im allergic to quite a few things and simply asked for a few things to be removed as I know they make their food from scratch. The manager did not even come see me to try make a plan. Just simply told me he cant help me via the unapologetic waiter. Hes words. We cant help u. In todays day and age you should at least make some sort of plan. They made me feel very unwelcome and like I was a weirdo.

As a franchise Simply Asia has won multiple awards. The meals are always excellent and always what you expect. They are dependable and delicious.This Simply Asia does not set any benchmarks for excellence in terms of decor, but the service is excellent and it is a comfortable space that is a relief by warmth in Winter and cool enough in Summer.Ideal for going with a group of friends or for a business lunch, perhaps not ideal for a romantic date.

Quick and tasty street style noodle meals. Nice open air seating. Can get very busy. Good sushi menu.

Waiter recommended that New Black Paper sauce stir fry -no 332 dish.Worst ever dish I had in Simply Asia.There are more than 150 black papers inside.I doubt anybody can eat more than 100 black papers in one dish.I complained to waiter but he didn’t bother about it.It spoiled our dinner date.

Excellent choice as always! This place is busy every time weve been there and I can understand why. The restaurant is bigger than the others Ive been to with lots of seating. The food taste great, with very friendly service.

Good portion sizes.

Always great meals, im a big fan of noodles and Thai food. It lacks vibe and an appealing atmosphere. Even though I like the food I would choose a more authentic Thai / Japanese / Chinese restaurant, Simply Asia is a chain brand, and you can taste it in their food. My favourites are the tofu noodle dishes with lots of veggies & the chocolate spring rolls for dessert.

Great food but was extraordinarily slow from kitchen to table. Worth the wait...just not when in a hurry! UPDATE: have been a couple times since and service to table has improved a lot.

Always fabulous food. But please get paper straws instead of plastic ones! And please stock alcohol free beers...

Ordered Take-Away 2 x prawn Tom Yum soups, 1 x chicken Tom Yum soup, prawn phad thai and duck tamarin. Meal was below average. Prawns were shrimp sized. No flavour or substance to the soups. Duck had no sauce. Meals were dry and bland. Usually order from Umhlanga store and used to great quality and meal presentation and taste. I certainly wont be ordering from Simply Asia Bryanston again.

I LOVE the food! The sushi is amazing and you cant leave without trying the corn cakes starter either...delish!The only downside is the service is really not that great and needs serious improvement, but the food is so good its still worth it!

The service is really bad; wait staff have obviously had no training. Always a long wait, almost always something wrong with the order (no ice, chicken instead of beef, etc). Foods nice, but youre in for a long and frustrating wait, even with take aways.

Good authentic Thai food prepared by Thai chefs in view of the diners. Very reasonably priced and pleasant.

Of all the Simply Asias in Johannesburg, Bryanstons was the most bland. Not only was there food below the average, but they also forgot to put in our take away bag some of dishes that we paid for. They promised to deliver the following day but this never did happen. Avoid unless the last resort. #tastless food #poor service.

When I get a craving for Thai, this is what I always hope supper will be like! One of my best Simply Asia experiences in a while.

One of the worst food experiences Iv had in a long time. The reason im giving them 1 star is cos i cant give them half a star. Duck roll was burnt and contained what looked like duck wors, when the menu said thick slices of duck 121. Do not order the prawn dumplings either...absolutly pathetic and a waste of money. Give this place a miss, save your money and go to KFC for a better cullinary experience.

The website says they open at 11am, so I decided to go for brunch. However upon arriving at 11:03am the very rude waiter at the door said no, we only open at 12:00 when I asked why the website says 11:00am, his response was well, there chef just got in and theres nothing further I can do for youI personally love simply asias food, but Ill never go to this specific one again

Have always enjoyed good food here, HOWEVER, we waited 5 minutes for a waiter to come and take an order then 5 minutes later someone comes out to say it will take 30minutes for our food as the kitchen is under pressure, place wasnt even a quarter full!!!! This was for two noodle dishes
