The best guesthouse what we ever been! I travelled around for around 100 countries, but this is by far the best guesthouse! From the welcoming till the goodbye was absolutely amazing! With their little extra details everywhere, it feels like a first-class experience and service! I had the pleasure to have a look in most of the rooms and all are stunning, brand new, and clean. The Manager of the place absolutely professional and he is taking care of much more than your stay. He is amazing in organizing wine trips, transportation, reservations or whatever you need. He always wants to do the extra effort and service to make your stay and holidays special and easy for you. Amazing as well is the Bar place who is 24/7 open with everything that you can imagine. The place secure and safe, you have as well secured parking spot. Near by there are restaurants easy for walking.

We had a lovely girls weekend stay at Fleur du Soleil. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would visit again. The bed is super comfy, I had a great nights rest and their honest bar is super helpful if you would like a drink during your stay. Breakfast is great and they have a big variety of options to pick from. We were located within walking distance of the Franschoek restaurants and city centre. What an amazing stay. From the warm and inviting welcome - friendly staff, mimosas and unexpected complimentary treats - to the excellent service throughout the weekend. The space is beautifully decorated and our suite had a fireplace, so this was a real added bonus, as it was a true Cape Town wintry day. We also enjoyed the chats with Victoria and Marius - we felt like we were guests in their home, rather than patrons at their establishment.

Even before arriving at the Guesthouse the communication from the owners was exceptional and very welcoming. Upon arrival we were given a full tour of the place and some good tips of where to go and what to do around town. The weather wasnt cooperating with us during our stay but our room was warm and very inviting. The amenities in the room and around the Guesthouse were well thought out and delightful. We were there for the winter and it rained, but the pool area and other common areas looked enticing for nicer days. Our breakfast in the morning was delicious and set us up nicely for a day of wine touring. The location can hardly be beat. The area is quiet, but easy walking distance to almost everything in town and a very short drive to some great vineyards. We were very happy with our choice of accommodations and hope to be back one day soon!

This is a real friendly guest house which has great service and a good atmosphere. The rooms are really clean well maintained and up to scratch. Marius and the staff are really friendly and serve a great breakfast that keeps you going for the day. Marius went out of his way to make sure that we are comfortable and happy. We were celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and I had no regrets in booking this place. This is the first time that we have stayed here and it certainly wont be the last.

Marius and the other staff made us feel at home even prior to arriving, with regular communication and other bits of information to make us excited.Check-in was professional. Your first impression is in the lovely lounge with a great art collection.The rooms were comfortable with little extra touches, such as sherry and rusks. Great decor in the rooms as well.One gets a good nights rest in the large beds with good linen (as well as fact that its in a quiet area)Breakfast was excellent, with no holding back on the variety of foods and portions served.

From the welcoming bubbly, the cocktail for our wedding anniversary to the luxury accommodation it was a wow experience. Marius and his staff were most attentive hosts and even upgraded our room. The room was spectacular, every detail for luxury was there. The reception area was lovely and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast there, made from locally sourced ingredients from the surrounding area. I highly recommend Fleur du Soleil Luxury Guest, it is truly a 5* experience

Absolutely beautiful experience from start to finish. Firstly the accommodation was spectacular, the decor was absolutely beautiful and the room amenities were in line with any five star hotel I have stayed in. The location is also central enough to be a minute away from everything but tucked away enough to be completely peaceful. Then the staff, Marius made us feel like we were VIP guests, then all the staff went above and beyond to give us such a memorable experience. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I were privileged to have celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at your beautiful 5 star Guest House, Fleur du Soleil on the 2nd August 2021. From the artistic display on the bed on arrival, every attention to detail was appreciated. The Manager, Marius, was an absolute gem, attending to ones every need with cheerful efficiency, likewise, the staff were always friendly and helpful. It is perfectly situated a short walk from the Village and we really hope to return again in the future. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to visit Franschhoek.

The Fleur du Soleil guesthouse is a beautiful place decorated with taste that pays attention to details. Anton kindly offered us an upgrade upon our arrival. We were so impressed with the service, food and gorgeous bedroom. Marius was absolutely fantastic and for sure a great asset to the business.Maybe management can take into consideration to have winter sheets on the bed instead of summer. The duvet is fantastic but it is really cold when you get into bed.Also, the staff serving breakfast was clearing everything off our table while we were still sitting enjoying the gorgeous morning sunshine and fresh air. I understand that the dirty dishes have to be cleared away, but the salt and pepper, etc etc was also cleared away. We were offered a complimentary room upgrade, most unexpected, but so much appreciated! We got the Vignobles room...what a stunning spacious room, beautifully decorated and comfortable. All the extra touches in the room showed the care & attention to client service..really makes you feel important. The bed & pillows were super comfy, so too the bedding. Their breakfasts are well prepared & tasty, beautifully served and with so much attention to detail. Loved it! Fleur du Soleil is a lovely guesthouse conveniently located in the heart of Franschoek. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with a glass of bubbles and warm towels to cleanse our hands. The accommodation is decorated beautifully and very welcoming. The beds were so comfortable making us not wanting to get up! Marius, the house manager assisted us with making dinner reservations, full breakfast in our room an afternoon snack by the pool. We felt very spoiled and pampered. Next time we will stay longer to take advantage of spa treatments in the comfort of your room!

Beautifully appointed and welcoming guesthouse whihc is conveniently located 5 min walk from Main Road and all the shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We loved that you could arrange an in-room massage and that they had an honesty bar. Will definitely visit again.

What a little gem in the middle of Franschoek. Centrally situated and within walking distance to the main street with a wide range of great restaurants close by. The staff made our stay well worth it. Nothing was too much for them. They rank amongst the best. During these uncertain times of Covid, they went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and safe. They serve a hearty breakfast to get your day started and their service is exceptional. We had a lovely stay at Fleur de Soleil. Victoria and the staff were warm and welcoming and pulled out all the stops to make our stay pleasant. Our suit was beautiful and the overall guesthouse lives up to its 5 star rating. A lot of thought was put into the detail. The artwork is amazing. The guesthouse is close to restaurants and amenities in Franschhoek. We had a lovely swim in the pool and the complementary breakfast was lovely. Definitely recommend this space for luxury experience.

My husband and I spent the first two nights of our honeymoon at Fleur du Soleil. The guesthouse is modern, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are very hospitable and friendly and made us feel right at home. The location is also great and within walking distance of Franschhoeks town centre. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, warmly and luxurious. What was even better than the rooms was the hospitality of the managers and staff. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Additionally, the location is perfect as its walking distance from the main road which is filled with lovely restaurants and shops. It was the rainiest of weekends and yet we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay all thanks to Fleur Du Soleil.

Franschhoek is a slice of heaven and this guest house is your own private heaven within. This place has been a complete delight for my wife and I to stay in. Everything about it is perfect we wouldnt change a thing. Best breakfasts weve had in SA and by far the nicest bedroom too. It is also excellent value for what you get here.

We felt at home since the very first moment. The breakfast was very good. Room and house was super clean. Tina was very helpful and gave us very good recommendations to go out for dinner and things to do.

Incredible place nestled away in the beautiful village of Franschhoek. The guest house does an amazing breakfast and is close to all the lovely restaurants in the village. Rooms are beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Staff and management are extremely helpful. In short - a stay here is like that of a 5 star hotel but in the comfort of a cosy and homely environment.

Beautiful details, friendly service

My girlfriend and I sadly ended our two week Christmas and New Years South African holiday with a 2 night stay at Fleur du Soleil in Franschhoek. I say sadly because we did not want to leave this amazing guesthouse and town.We arrived to a warm friendly welcome on the afternoon of New Years Eve 2015. (We took an Uber from Cape Town FYI.) Leading up to our stay, communication with Tina the owner always was amazing. Tina is filled with local knowledge and gladly shares ideas on places to go as well as the best transportation options. She also offered to arrange bookings for us as New Years is naturally a busy time. Very thoughtful. We had dinner at The French Connection on the main street in Franschhoek which is a very short walk from the guesthouse. New Years Eve was amazing - great service, great food, great wine and great fun.The Fleur du Soleil property is lovely. We stayed in the Angel Suite - book this one if you can - it is perfect! The room is on the ground floor and is huge by B&B standards. It has a large very comfortable bed (king size I think) with lots of pillows and great linens. There is air conditioning and a fan. It was nearing 40C degrees when we were there but even without the air conditioner on it seemed cool. The bathroom in the Angel Suite is huge, beautiful, very clean and completely white even the floors. Two sinks on opposite walls, a bath tub and a walk in shower with a great shower head. The room is very well appointed. There closet space and a safe for your valuables as well as a handy fridge that kept our wine cool for sipping by the pool. Speaking of the pool, this room opens up into the backyard and the pool. The water temp was spot-on and the garden surrounding the pool is filled with lots great plants and flowers. I travel nearly every week for work and would be very happy to have a room like this anywhere I stayed.Breakfast is basically anything you like as there is so much on the menu for a B&B. When we arrived we filled out our breakfast orders for the two days and what time we wanted them. I had the full monty - eggs bacon, sausage, beans, tomato, mushrooms and more. The kitchen island was filled with different yogurts with fresh fruit and muesli along with cheese and cold cuts. Lots of good coffee and tea and a choice to eat indoors or out. A 5 star breakfast I would say.There is something special about Fleur du Soleil. You feel at home and welcome. Other guests we met were so nice too.If you do go, be sure to learn about the Sunflower theme while you are there - it will touch your heart.We will be back for sure.PS…the free wifi worked perfectly too!
