I just had my best steak for 2021! It was tasty, perfectly done, you can cut it with a knife and fork without any issues! This is brilliant value for money! On a Tuesday night they have a special with truly amazing quality steak! R99 for a Rump steak and chips! Their service was awesome and they were really busy! I love this and will definitely return. Just opposite Karaglen Spar! The beer was cold and I believe you deserve 6 out of 5 stars! This was one of my better dining experiences for 2021! Keep it up. They stick to the rules and all in all the better experience this year!

It was my familys first time trying this place. The restaurant has a really good and chilled atmosphere. I ordered the 1kg ribs and my wife ordered the eisbein. Both dishes were amazing. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and the eisbein had a very crispy outer. We will definitely come back and try something else on the menu.

Very good lunch experience. The service was fast and good, with excellent recommendations from Lucia.Mussel pot starter was very tasty, and the highlight was the fillet trinchado. Delicious.Nachos very tasty, and the Portuguese steak perfectly prepared.The ribs were tasty, but still cold in the middle - had to be sent back for reheating. Apart from that, an excellent experience.

The food was tasty and well presented from starters to desserts and coffee. The manager was welcoming, our waiter was attentive , hospitable and provided exceptional service. The ambience was unpretentious, relaxed and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only spoiler was a waitress who abandoned us unceremoniously shortly after greeting us by the entrance toattend to other seated customers who were apparently much more important than us. We will be back and wont allow the bad apple to spoil the reputation of such a great establishment!!

Fantastic from start to finish.We shared the Rainbow Reloaded Signature Sushi as a starter...it was probably the best sushi I’ve had 😋For mains we had a juicy T-Tone which was awesome and the calamari which was also fresh and tender.Didn’t have space for dessert, but will be back for some more.Great service and reasonably priced 👍🏻

Enjoyed the coffee options. Starters were very tasty with good portions. Variety to choose from on the menu. Noting that prices were a bit on the high side for certain meals. Chairs were comfortable which is important.

Fin and Fillet is a charm! I was very happy with the restaurant from the time we walked in, till we left. The decor is fantastic. Its simple yet elegant, everything matches well. The menu has a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices. The portion sizes were generous for both the starters and the mains. I had the large hake dish which was delicious and very well cooked. The service was generally good; the waitress was friendly and polite. I will definitely go eat at Fin and Fillet again, and I will gladly recommend it to friends and family!

The Food is delicious and prices are very reasonable. You have to try the ribs or Schnitzel any steak with mushroom sauce and the oxtail or mussels starter and prawns in garlic sauce is so worth a try!! Love that all meals come with veg and choice of baked potato, roast potato home made thick chips, pap or mash Food Service is a little slow when busy but worth it!!!! The staff are great!!!

The food is amazing.... my favourite is the fried calamari. The prawn tofu pockets are fabulous. Good coffee and a creme brulee that is the best ever. Great service and owners. The decor makes you feel good to be there. Comfy chairs... very important for me.

We came here for our 7 year anniversary and needless to say, we were not disappointed. The waitress was AMAZING! The Creamy Prawns took me back to my childhood. Hubbys Halloumi was amazing (and Im not a Halloumi fan). The Cocktails were good and the vibe was just as great. Mains were done right and we were absolutely stuffed by the end of the evening. We will be back, for sure.

The Fin and Fillet Grill serves fresh, tasty, well made sushi. Tried the sushi yesterday and found it so good I returned today. It was just as good today. Will definitely be going back for more in future.

I havent been this side of the world in ages. Kara Glen has had quite a revamp since I was last in the area, and Ive been following Fin & Fillet since they opened and finally got the chance to visit. We sat outside, while listening to the musicians opposite on a chilled saturday afternoon.They have a decent selection and variety on their menu of meat and fish (obviously).I tried the cheesy prawns as a starter, and the Eisbein with Sauerkraut and Mash for Mains. The crackling was cooked perfectly and it was quite a big piece so I took it home for later.We didnt have space for dessert, maybe next time, but I tried the Cappuccino with fresh cream. Amazing food and service. I had the best surf and turf in my life, your steaks are nice and tender, the sauce that they use in their prawns is divine. Their creme brule was out of this world. The staff is so friendly and professional. I am definitely coming back.

Came back for a second time and changing my rating to a 4, . We had fish dish, Prawn dish and Eisbein. Forgot to take photos, but these main dishes were more well rounded and really tasty. Just one thing I found strange, is that the fish dishes indicated rice or chips and it came with both. I would have preferred veggies/salad and chips/rice. Not two starches.First time the food was okay nothing amazing, would give it a 3. Wings and basket meals needed chips, nachos was average needed some salsa.

The food is good, but dont order for delivery and hope to get your food. I had such a bad experience with a delivery order, I will NEVER go back.I placed an order at 17h28. At 18h30, when I phoned to enquire what was happening to the delivery, I was told the driver left 20mins ago. At 19h00, I phoned again and the manager didnt know where the driver was. The driver arrived at 19h15 (almost two hours late!).I am very disappointed.

Some great daytime specials - very accommodating - quite happy to change starch / vegetable mix and ensure customer satisfaction - wine is a bit pricey but I understand that after the shutdown weve been through - service excellent and great quality

Rocky start but our waitress made it wonderful in the end.

From their overly adjectived menu with nonsensical wording, to the manager who hides behind the bar counter and lets not forget the ill trained waiters... The decor of this establishment, although pleasant enough is the only thing pleasant about this place. The waiter had to be asked to bring olive oil, bread and to please leave our unused serviettes. Our wine was poured like it was coke and the balsamic vinegar tasted more vinegary than balsamic and ruined the already lack lustre carpaccio. The steak I ordered was just ok, my fiances meal was also average to say the least. And I have to mention again how the casually attired manager never once came to our table to ask if everything was ok. Horrid experience will NEVER go back.

Ordered half a chicken and was served with a burnt quarter chicken. My friend came and saw my plate and decided not to order. I was the only diner and yet they burnt my food and could hardly get hold of the server.

Exceptional service from the waiters. The food however was not too great. We had sushi and lamb shank. The sushi was good. However they had the salty soy sauce in the low salt bottle which killed the taste of the sushi. The lamb shank was made like a bland stew and had no taste to it.

Food is good, but the service is pathetic. Sat for over half an hour with closed menus and no one came to tend the table, not even to ask for drink orders. The waiters either disappear to walk around the center or they see you wave to them and they look away.... but management is to blame because they are also nowhere to be found

This is the place to meet with friends, then sort of get lost in time enjoying good company and excellent food.Not your ordinary supper: an experience!The food is delectable.The service is top-notch.The beautiful decor just invites you to sit down and stay.Oh my!! Appears I am besotted with my new favorite restaurant!Note to self: next time call in advance and reserve a table.

The experience was wonderful. The manager was very hands on, the service was superlative. We went on Xmas day and the meals were amazing, fresh and super tasty. It was a very nice atmosphere within the restaurant itself. A little bit of a limited menu, but given that it was Xmas day one can understand the neccessity for this. We enjoyed our mains and did not have space for dessert. We will certainly be going back.

Splendid choice of restaurants.Im visiting from overseas, and I asked my friends to choose the restaurant. They could not have done better!Staff were helpful and caring. Ambiance was comfortable and inviting. The menu was extensive. I had oxtail (I had not had for years) which was terrific. Most others had various combinations of fish and meat. All looked stunning, and everyone agreed that the tastes of the dishes matched the looks!Ill be back.

Wow what an experience. We celebrating my mums birthday at the restaurant. The owners are warm and friendly, checking on us to see if we had everything we needed (lovely personalised touch). Every meal we ordered was delicious. I had the Rib eye steak and mushroom sauce. The steak was perfectly done! Atmosphere was classy and relaxing. Will definitely be back 😁

Below average food and service. For the persona the Restaurant portrays, I was expecting much more. Their calamari was unappetizing and chicken was over cooked and sweet even though I had ordered it extra spicy. Ribs were below par. First time goer and last time.

Didnt compare to some of the other similar restaurants we have dined at as overall service and food preparation was good but not great. The two meat dishes my colleagues said were slightly overcooked but chicken was delicious. Nice decor and definitely worth giving another chance.

Good food up market menu with spur ambience.Steak comes with only one side choice.The chakalaka is a sauce only and has veggies in it. You need to add a sauce if you order rice as side otherwise rice is rice.If you have a birthday this is the place to eat. The music gets turned up and all conversation comes to a standstill while waiters joyfully dance at the birthday table, thankfully they don’t sing the music has words but not in English. Afterwards the table then tries a happy birthday song without music.The sushi was delicious and fairly priced.A few tweaks and I would revisit.

Great food. I like this place. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the waiter went awol. Maybe because we bought take aways? Or because we were the only black customers? Who knows? But I still like the place.

Amazing food and service

Very disappointing indeed. Service very slow, with waiters lacking personality. Ordered calamari and hake combination. Had to send hake back. A small tail piece totally overcooked, almost like a piece of biltong on my plate. Sent it back and they returned a while later with another piece of hake also totally overcooked and full of bones. So I will not be recommending this place until they improve their food. Restaurants must take pride in what they dish to customers.

This could be such a nice restaurant but the service is shocking to say the least. Everything is extremely slow and the waiters are too busy chatting than to take notice of the customers requiring service!!! These staff require supervision.

Last night was the first time Ive been there and I enjoyed it so much. Our waiter Washington got everyones order correct and it was served to perfection.

Over cooked inedible Haddock that I sent back to the kitchen and didn’t get any feedback or response from management nor a replacement. I let it go and still paid for the entire meal but won’t be visiting your restaurant in the future.

This restaurant has no customer service or concern over serving food that is absolutely distasteful. I order via Mr D Foods and I complained about the poor quality of food I received. This is now over a month and no response from the restaurant. Please avoid this restaurant and stick with your regular restaurants to avoid disappointment and being ripped off.
