Your level of service leaves a lot to be desired. Incorrect drinks order brought to the table. We as a party of 5 had to search for the staff who had congregated in the kitchen when trying to order food after waiting 35 minutes. Please also note - automatically a 10% tip was added to our bill. We did not appreciate this since the staff service levels were below standards over all. Staff were engaged in a quarrel which was overheard by clientele. We asked ourselves - where was the manager on duty? We were hosting overseas guests. Most disappointing indeed. We did however enjoy the maritime traffic.

Lovely view of the boats. Enjoyed the ambiance, wasnt overcrowded like the other establishments. Was pleasantly surprised that not a single fly made an appearance while we enjoyed our drinks n seafood basket.

10 of us visited Wilsons wharf on a sunday morning. Breakfast was affordable and tasty, beautiful views of the habour. Friendly staff. And a cup of delicious coffee on the house. Thank you Pirates Arms!

Such a horrible experience, the one star was only for the fish and chips which were the saving grace, the waiter got my order wrong and then insists twice, it was prawns, when we said calamari, then walks away( with no apology) in a huff and brings me 6 calamari rings and chips for R115( I honestly dont think thats a fair charge) to add insult to injury, the calamari was not even prepared well, they were quite rubbery. The waiters and waitresses were moving tables around and setting them for the next day at 2pm on a Sunday, while there were still a lot of customers in the restaurant. Overall a terrible experience, and a suggestion to management, please take the time to retrain your staff on how to handle customer complaints...especially if the fault lies with the waiter/waitress....

This is a nice little hang out with a view of the harbour if you are looking to go out for a couple drinks. The food is OK. I had eisbein which was a little dry unfortunately.They have a live band from 6pm on the weekends which is a nice touch.

Best place to chill after a long day

Waited almost an hour for our food. The service was very slow. Calamari and. Feta salad tasted horrible, calamari rings were broken into piece to make 6 pieces. Not value for value. Wont come here again. And. The music were so loud.

Not what it used to be. Good memories from back in the days ruined! Absolutely dirty all over the place! Shocking to see the harbour in such neclected state. Service at restuarant not good at all!! Not recommended anymore!! Heartbroken and extremely dissapointed. Not to mention the suffering of the animals - the whole area is now a stinking dirty dump!

Awful awful service, we constantly had to call on staff to help us ever being offered help. The food was cold and the place was dirty, also the waiter was clumsy and distracted. If I could give it less than one star I would. We ordered the fish and chips dish and I am so sorry... Im not sure what that was on the plate but it wasnt fish.

The attitude of the waitresses on duty. Seems they give service to regulars only. My question... how does a business grow without new customers? Meals were served to customers who came in after me. But I was told the kitchen is closed at at 7.40pm.

Very disappointed waited hour end a half for food when we got it my ribs was icecold and butter didnt even melt on baked potatoe the kids got there hamburger after the adults got there food.

What a great place for family and friends to enjoy themselves! Also children are allowed to be there which is good so that families can enjoy the experience together. Entertainment, food and drinks is great!

We were 1 of 2 customers in the whole restaurant. The food was not exciting. Very small portions. After asking if the restaurant takes US dollars we ordered. After ordering we were told we would be charged 30% fee for exchanging the money to pay for our meal. After complaining they reduced the fee to 15% then overcharged us on our bill to make up for the money they were trying to make. The waiter bruce was wonderful. He was the only reason why we stayed and the reason for the one star. We will not return.

Hubby and I loved Pirates arm we used to go here at least once a month they had a good fish n chips and the burgers were great as well. The service was great. But this year life been so busy only went back now. Looking for that great fish n chips again. To get there placed has changed not sure is new ownership or new management but we went in sat down. Took them at least 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Ordered drinks and that took about 10 minutes to come. In the mean time there is this blearing music and and people dancing more like dirty dancing. The drinks finally come and mine was the wrong drink. Ordered ordered our meal and waited and waited and it looked like the chefs were dancing as well. Well 45 minutes later still no food. Asked for the manager and he was outside smoking and dancing. Looked at us and walked the other way. So we paid for drinks and left. The need to decide if they running a tavern or a restaurant. TERRIBLE APPALLING WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

We always come here when we come to Durbs. Food is okay; we like the harbour experience and my uncle always remembers the previous owners parrots. Lots for him to reminisce about.

Not such a great experience as expected like before, say 2/3 years ago. I took my folks trying to impress them with good fresh fish. Only to find not so good customer service. I think they were irritated by us doing take aways, instead of sit-in. Also not ordering their drinks, as we indicated we have them in the car. Then our food did not have servittes or salt/vinegar for chips even spoons for rice. Ooh not impresssed at all.

Decent food but poor practice of adding tip to any bill over R400. Looks like VAT on the bill. MOST will not pay attention and tip a secund time. Does say Tip way too the left but MOST places do NOT do this. If you pay Zapper as I did it acted like there was no tip so I paid R50. Double tip. I complained and got my R50 back but the manager was full of attitude and blamed me for not reading the bill more carefully. Really? I am very careful and this tricked me. This is a scam and you know many make this same error daily and never know. And my guess is the server does not get the extra tip. 2 people only and easy to go over R400. Never going back again. Dodgy practice!! Was a regular. Done!

Very chilled out place, with a nice view of the warf... Can enjoy this place with family or friends... Family oriented during the day, more party atmosphere at night.

Ive grown so fond of this place, my sister and I go to relax and we have the best fun. Theres live music and lots of beautiful people who are just having fun.

Good breakfast - To have the breakfast menu get there before 11:00am - relaxing atmosphere with a good view of the boats and harbour.

We were there as High Court Kzn. Their service is bad. All the way from PMB we didnt get served from 10h30 to 14h30 I was so disappointed. We ended up to nearest restaurants.

This place has lost its standards. Use to be my go to place and I would have given it a 5 star rating before. My recent experience has been terrible. With regards to the handling of the staff. That should be done in private and not in front of customers with a raised voice. The place is untidy. The food is not as good as it use to be. Really disappointed as I was a fan of Pirates Arms. Unhygienic.

Went for lunch today. Only 1 word! Disgusting! The roast pork lunch was OLD and tasted as though it was scraped off the ice at the bottom of the freezer. The pie, chips and gravy was no better. The pie was hard without any filling whilst the gravy looked like congealed gloop. Paid for the coffee and left. Never again!
