Loved Grimaldis DCC. Food was delicious, tried a variety from antipasto, mezze & secondi. Service was excellent. Beautiful views. Ample parking. Will definitely be going back.

Had a wonderful evening at Grimaldis Cucina & Sushi Bar, that has taken a space inside Durban Country Club. An offshoot of Grimaldis at The Pearls in Umhlanga, and the same owner as Jack Salmons.Amanda took our booking, Terence was the manager on duty and Cheyanne was our vivacious, friendly waitress for the evening.We started with Black Mussels starter. Offered steamed in their creamy seafood sauce or steamed in white wine, garlic & chilli. We opted for the creamy seafood sauce. It was served with two slices of bread, great for mopping up the abundant sauce. Nice sized portion for a starter. Mains were two pasta dishes. Pollo funghi - grilled chicken breasts and black mushroom in a cream sauce. Prawn Picanta - prawns flavoured with white wine, and fresh garlic in their homemade napolitana sauce.Dessert - Death by Brownie - 2 decadent deep fried brownie balls with a gooey chocolate centre, served with dry chillis, salt and vanilla ice cream.Good cocktail menu and extensive wine list. A welcome addition to Durban Country Club, well supported by members and hopefully the general public too. Recommended.

My favourite building, food was awesome as was the service. Most enjoyable just waiting for pianist as that beautuful grand piano need the keys to be tinkled.

Booked a table for 9 for Fathers day dinner on Friday. Booking was confirmed. Arrive early at the restaurant last night only to be told they dont do dinner service. A very unapologetic manager who had no sense of remorse and clearly doesnt know what is happening at his phone. What an embarrassment it was for us to call our guests (who were due to arrive in 15 mins) and say we have no booking or rather we had a fake booking. Grimaldis do better!Also your manager insisted that youve never done dinner yet your times on Google show differently.Update as of 26th July 2021. Ive attached the screeshot of the ONLY correspondence Ive received from them...I guess they lost their ability to call.

I dont recommend anyone to visit this restaurant, the service is really poor, the waiter had a bad attitude with us. We waited an hour for our food. Please dont bother yourself visiting this restaurant.
