I liked the venue and tidiness. Staff were helpful with the order. I ordered 1/4 mutton bunny, chicken biryani, chicken roti roll, mince and chicken samoosas. The summary was that the food tasted like leftovers and the ingredients the cheapest quality they could find. Management are trying maximise profits only and not focussed on quality products that will grow the base of repeat customers!
Victory Lounge Umhlanga.. Thursday afternoon. 2nd January 2020.Not very hospitable. Breyani ended up being curry and colored rice.braised mutton bunny which is R110 for a quarter was actually the same mutton curry minus the bones and not the original braised mutton bunny from the original victory lounge. Also wasnt fresh and ended up with food poisoning. O ly tap water available in a glass no ice water... I suppose to market the bottled water and cool drinks which I dont have and other members ordered. Unprofessional.. Non detailed receipts with prices different from the ones on the menu. When enquired very rude response that theres a price change.... Hello.update your menu prices. Ordering is done accordingly! Eg, Small milkshake R35on menu but charged R45. Tea R10 on menu charged R25... And much more. Overcharge of about R80 which we paid. We were still asked if we were leaving a tip which we obliged... A tip of R90. .even though the service was substandard... We were not checked on to ensure all was well while dining We paid a hefty bill and even had to ask for sweets at the end... Which was short supplied! We wont be dining there again!
